Howon/Hoya POV

I looked at her as she lay unconscious on the bed. What happened?

"So you fell in love with her" Head Monk Seungmin reiterated as he was processing what I had said. "And the landslide?"

"Right" getting back to where we were. "She left to go take care of the landslide situation. She was gone for quite a bit of time. When she came back, I was surprised that she knew my name was Howon, because I had only told her it was Hoya."

"Did she explain how she knew?"

"She said that my friends had told her my name and that they were worried about me."

He turned to the members and asked "Is this true? Did you tell her about your missing friend?"

They all looked at each other in shock. Then Sunggyu finally spoke up. "We didn't tell her about Hoya" he stressed as he shook his head. "We only told a fox about him."

"A fox?" he raised his eyebrows and smiled.

Sunggyu and the others started to fidget nervously at this revelation.

"What happened next?" he turned his attention back to me.

"The rain stopped" I choked. "I knew it would mean that I would have to leave, but I didn't want to. I wanted to stay with her."

"Hoya!" the guys gasped.

I shook my head. "She wouldn't let me... and I knew she was right. I knew I had to come back, but I didn't want to leave her. That is when she said she would come with me."

All the monks suddenly looked at me in confusion. "She said she would come with you?" Jangjun asked.

"Yeah" I smiled. "Since she knew I couldn't stay, she said she would come with me, so we could be together."

They all turned and looked at each other in shock.

"What happened when you arrived at the temple?" Head Monk Seungmin asked.

"She said she had to discuss something with the fox who was guarding the path. I gave her a kiss and then left to go find my friends. Shortly after meeting up with them, we heard the girls scream and went to check it out."

"That's all? Nothing else happened?" he asked.

I retraced our steps and said "We prayed at Howon's tomb before we started walking down the mountain..." I kept thinking and then it struck me like lightning "Oh... She stopped me just before we got to the temple and gave me this necklace!" I took off the necklaces I was wearing.

"Why do you have two of the same necklace?" Sungjong asked.

"Huh?" I looked down and realized he was right. They are the same! I took a closer look at the necklaces and tried to remember where I had gotten the other one from. Then it suddenly dawned on me and I couldn't help but laugh at the situation. So, she was the pretty noona I met in the mountain when I got lost twenty years ago.

Everyone looked at me with worried glances. "Hoya?" Sungjong nervously spoke up. "The necklaces?" he pointed to them.

"Right!" I chuckled. "I've had one of these since I was nine. It was given to me..." I chuckled "at this very temple."

"It was?" Jangjun's eyes widened in surprise.

I nodded "Yeah... I got lost on the mountain when I was nine years old. A nice noona found me and brought me back down the mountain. She gave me one of these." I smiled as I thought of the encounter. "Now that I think about it, it was Sohee who saved me back then. Just like she saved me now."

"That's... creepy" Woohyun shivered.

"Did she say anything when she gave you the first necklace?" Head Monk Seungmin asked.

I thought about it and nodded "She said that it once belonged to a very special person. Just like me."

Two identical necklaces. Why do I feel this is important? Two necklaces......Two Tails!!!

I recalled her mentioning that she only had two tails and that she already had lost one, but she wouldn't tell me how. Now that I'm holding these two identical necklaces, I wonder if what I am thinking is real.

I looked down at her and saw the look of contentment on her face. I could tell she didn't regret her decision. It was as though she knew it would happen and willingly accepted it.

After thinking about it for a few minutes, I made up my mind. I took one of the necklaces and put it back on. Then I took the other and placed it around her neck. "I hope I'm right about this" I whispered to myself as I leaned over and gently kissed her on the lips.

Everyone could only look on in shock at what was happening before them.

Sohee POV

My heart that had stopped beating, suddenly thumped once shattering the crushing weight that had strangled it into submission earlier. Then it thumped again and again, free from all the restraints that had been holding it back.

I opened my eyes and my vision slowly came into focus. I was both happy and shocked at the sight before me. "Hoya?" I could speak no louder than a whisper, but it was loud enough for him to hear.

He pulled me into his arms and, as tears streaked down his face, said "Thank goodness! I thought that I had lost you!" He pulled back a little and then leaned forward to kiss me. "I love you, Sohee" he said as he pulled back again.

"What's going on? What happened? How is this possible?" I asked in a panicked frenzy.
