Part 15
Howon/Hoya POV
I saw the signs that a house was just a little ways up the path I was on, so I ran towards it. Maybe I will be able to find some shelter to get out of this rain.
By the time I had gotten through the front gate, I was soaking wet. I looked around and saw a young woman just standing in front of a grave. What is she doing outside in this rain?
I took a couple of steps towards her and collapsed. I could see her rushing to my side, but everything was blurry. I looked up at her and could see her mouth moving, but I couldn't understand what she was saying. Then everything went black.
Sohee POV
The young man ran into my front yard and stopped. He looked at me and I froze again. Why do I keep seeing Howon everywhere?
He took a couple of steps towards me and suddenly collapsed.
"Oh my!" I screamed as I rushed towards him. "Are you okay? What happened?" I asked as I tried to determine what was happening. Then his body went limp.
I laughingly sighed to myself at the situation I was now in. It felt like déjà vu. Not wanting to remain in the rain any longer than I had to, I dragged the now unconscious man into my house. I grabbed a towel and tried to dry as much of the young man's body as I could.
"He's never going to get dry and warm in those wet clothes" I grunted in frustration. As I started to undo the buttons of his shirt, I suddenly became embarrassed. "What am I doing?" I blushed and quickly backed away.
I realized that it would be inappropriate to undress him, but I didn't want him to end up sick because of the wet clothes. While lost in my internal debate, I failed to see the young man regain consciousness.
"What happened?" he asked, shocking me back to reality.
"You collapsed outside because of the rain" I replied. "How are you feeling?"
"Cold" he shivered.
I went over to the wardrobe and grabbed a set of Howon's old clothes. "I'm not sure how these will fit, but you can change into them."
After placing them by the bed, I returned to the wardrobe to fetch myself a change of clothes and then left the room. Once changed, I went to the kitchen to make something warm to eat. As I approached the room with the tray of food, I called out "Are you all set?"
"Yes" he replied from beyond the door.
I placed the tray down and opened the door. "Are you hungry?" I asked with a smile.
"Famished" he sighed heavily.
I giggled a little as I brought the tray of food in. "It's not much, but help yourself."
"Thank you" he smiled as he dug into the food.
Howon/Hoya POV
When I woke up and saw her trying to undress me, I thought that I had been kidnapped by a crazy fan. Then she suddenly stopped and I realized that she was really just trying to help me.
She gave me some clothes to change into and even made me some food. I really glad I ran into her up here.
Once we finished eating, I helped her to clean the dishes. "Thanks for the clothes. They fit me perfectly!"
She chuckled "I was worried they might be too small."
"Not at all" I beamed. We walked back towards the front of the house and I sighed. "When will this rain end?"
"If we are lucky, it will be over soon and I can show you the way down the mountain."
"What if we are not lucky?"
"You could be stuck here for a few days, maybe even a week" she replied seriously.
"Days! A week!" I was shocked. "Why can't we just go down the mountain now?"
"It is too dangerous" she remained calm and rational. "The mountain path will be too slippery to traverse. If it continues to rain, there is a chance that there could be landslides. It's best to wait until it stops."
I sighed in frustration. I had a feeling something was going to go wrong today.
"I'm sorry that you are stuck up here with me" she said compassionately.
I took a seat on the porch and sighed "Well it's better than walking all over the mountain looking for something that doesn't exist."
"What do you mean?"
I pulled out the scroll I was given and handed it to her. "I'm supposed to deliver this edict to the Fox King's grave" I said as I laid down to look at the sky.
She started to laugh so hysterically, that I could help but laugh with her.
"What is your name?" she asked.
I sat up and said "Hoya."
"Hi, Hoya" she held out her hand. "I'm Sohee."
Sohee. What a beautiful name!
Sohee POV
I never thought that the edict would actually get delivered. And by a young man that looks like Howon too.
"What is there to do up here?" he asked as boredom started to settle in.
"There really isn't much" I replied. "I do have some books, but you might not find them interesting."
"What have I got to loose? Where are the books?"
I brought him inside and showed him the books. "Have your pick" I shrugged my shoulders.
"Wow! These books are quite old" he commented. "Okay! Which one should I check out first?" He picked up a book, sat down and started to read it.
I grabbed one for myself and immersed myself in it.
Suddenly, he lowered his book and grabbed my arm. "What the hell is this?" he screamed as he shook the book in front of me.
