Kilinco, as he called himself, is staring right down at me. I have just realized that the size difference is great, since I'm only half his size, and he's only slightly standing on his hind legs. His front legs are just above the ground, but he brought his head down again and his eyes are emerald green, just like the jewel on his head. I was about to ask a question when he answered it before anything left my mouth, "I know, you are shocked about me. A creature that looks nothing like anything you've seen, but hear me right now: You are not safe." He said to me. Well, talk to me in my mind. His mouth doesn't move at all. Except when he growls.

"What do you mean 'I'm not safe'? I don't understand." I replied. He, or as I interpreted it, just growled again, and I flinched, since I'm not used to being too close. He saw that and stopped growling, "There is a great evil after your soul. You don't remember, but you've known me before. And you know the enemy as well. We have to go and search for the others." At that point, he grabbed my arm with his claws, which are, surprisingly warm. I pulled away from him, "I can't go! What about my parents? They won't believe me when some monster asked me to-"

That's when I realized my mistake. He threw me to the ground and his eyes turned ruby red, then he pinned me with both of his hands and brought his snout close to my face. Both of those things got the wind knocked out of me. I couldn't breath when he threw me, then pinned me down. His eyes glowed like it has fire within them. I then realized that his gem was also red. I can tell he was really angry. Then he said slowly, "Don't call me a monster. Or interpret me as that or anything! I am not a monster." There was a slight quiver in his voice at the last part before he let me go.

I stood up hesitantly, hoping that he won't get triggered again by that. I got my voice back, "I'm...sorry. I didn't know that you..." He looked at me again, his eyes are still red but it hold sorrow, his gem was slowly turning back to green. I gulped, "...didn't want to be called that." I finished, and his eyes turned back into the emerald green, but there was a slight blue tint to it. "It's fine, you didn't know. And I can understand that. I also understand why you can't come, but I'll leave you with this." His eyes turned a bright blue and he took a hold of me. I couldn't move, and I struggled against his grip, he turned my head at him, so I'm staring right at his gem. At first, nothing happened, but then after a few minutes of looking, I saw more necklaces. Each of them with different symbols of whatever. Wait a minute, those are symbols of elements, I remembered them when my friend showed me the elements. I realized, then I saw something else.

It was small, and it had two big ears like an animal, and it had blue hair in front of its face. It also had some on it's torso, and the rest of it was grey. I then saw it's dark forest eyes, they shine right through the hair covering most of it's face. It was holding a knife, a sharp one, and it has some red liquid on it. I looked at it's face, it didn't seem dangerous, until the whole scene changed, and it showed a row of sharp teeth as it smiled. Then it ran toward me at great speed, laughing wickedly as it sliced at me. I grit my teeth in pain, I saw that it cut my arm, and I was bleeding, then it stabbed me right in the chest. I couldn't scream. Or call for help, I only watched as the knife was coming straight for my head.

"Jacklynn...."

"Jacklynn...!

"JACKLYNN!"

I woke up with a start and screamed, falling off of the bed and hitting whatever scared me. Apparently it was my mom; I gasped when I realized my mistake, "I'm sorry! I didn't mean...I just-" She then suddenly hugged me. I'm smart, I know things, I'm great at math and reading expressions, and to be honest right now, I have no clue what is going on. "Uh. Mom?" After a minute of being hugged, she quickly let go and started crying, "You started screaming, and moving a lot in the bed. You seemed like you had a nightmare. But then you stopped moving suddenly and we checked your pulse...Jacklynn, we thought you died on us." She started sobbing, and I just sat there wondering what the heck is going on.

"Mom, what? I don't-You're confusing me a lot." I surely was confused, me, dying? Or my pulse stopping temporarily? I looked on my bedside, the necklace was still there. But I felt as if I was stabbed, and hurt by this...furby looking thing. Wrong description of it, but it looked a lot like it. I felt my arm for any bruises from the fall. But instead, there is this cut, just like the one that thing gave me. "So...that was just a dream?" I wondered out loud. Mom was already sobbing hard. I didn't know what else to do other than going to comfort her.

As I comforted her, I heard the same voice from Kilinco. "Jacklynn...believe me, that was no dream...that was you facing her. The Demon-who-shall-not-be-named..." And suddenly, the necklace glowed, and stopped before my mom could see. What happened, I wondered...

I know that this chapter is jumpy and short, but I kinda had to hurry up since I needed to introduce the new character as well. Don't worry, hopefully, I can make the next chapter not so jumpy, but I can't make any real promises.
