It was time to go.

We have asked questions, but whenever Katie asked about her own Guardian, they skipped the subject about it. I haven’t seen E since that time I insulted him, and whenever I ask about him, they also skip it. It may have taken a while for me to get used to the heat that Hamiki has made in the room. Turns out, they’re a fire warrior from a system of cave networks under a volcano! How cool is that? Oh, no status update of their gender, although I’m pretty sure that Hamiki is a ‘she’ because they have a great relation with Kya, and they talk about mostly girl things. But then they switched over and talked about weapons with boys, so I’m still confused for the most part.

Anyway, it was about ready to go, when suddenly, there was a loud boom coming from the lab. We have ran over, and was surprised at what we saw, Gailiek, was talking with a raven like creature, who was holding a glass bottle, but it still has some greenish smoke coming out of it. The creature was no taller than me, and had two arms as well as wings on their back; white feathers around their eyes gave the appearance of makeup or something, but it made them look like a girl. And apparently, she was actually female.

“RAVEN! I thought I told you to not touch anything!!” Gailiek exclaimed angrily, cleaning up shards of glass from the ground. The raven rolled her eyes, and dropped the rest of the bottle, causing him to scream at her even more. “It wasn’t my fault that it slipped out of my claws.” She said with a sarcastic tone. Once everyone saw what was going on, they relaxed and walked back out. Except me, Katie, Raven, and Gailiek.

“So...what happened here exactly?” Katie asked. Gailiek sighed, “I told her to hold an important chemical for my experiment, which wouldn’t have failed if Raven hadn’t slipped up.” Oh, so her name is Raven. Makes sense. “Well, it wasn’t my fault to begin with. E was annoying me again and asking if he could have my blood for something….so I said no, and he literally threw D at me! That scrawny bastard knocked me out of focus and ran away before I could yell, so I was about to fly after him, so I had to put it somewhere. But he was getting away, so I did what I had to do. Drop everything and run.” She concluded. I had a puzzled expression. I thought E was going to get me, not anyone else. And also, who’s D? And how would he have been able to throw D if he’s just a doll?

“For one, I don’t believe her because I’ve banned E for using his magic to summon up demons.” Gailiek said in a matter of fact tone. “Secondly, I told him that he’s supposed to behave when guests here!” Now I and Raven rolled our eyes, “Well, for one, Gailiek, he doesn’t care! And two, since when has he ‘behaved’?” Raven argued. That brought up a good point, until, “If he didn’t behave, which I doubt he would, then I would confiscate his powers so that he can’t summon up his ‘demons’.” He said in a monotone voice. That somewhat made sense, but I still have one question; someone beat me to it though.

“What do you mean he can summon ‘demons’? I thought he’s just a doll.” Katie asked. I nodded, in showing that I also have that question. Raven looked at her, then me, “Because, he’s also a demon. And he can summon minions, to help him in battle or some other type of stuff.” She explained. We all had a ‘Oh’ moment.

“So that’s why everyone is afraid of him when I insulted him.” I said. Raven and Gailiek looked at me, “What exactly did you say to him?” I told them, Gailiek’s face went pale as Raven laughed so hard that I had to hold her up from falling on the broken glass. “Ah man, that’s rich! I wish I was there so I can help you insult him!” She eventually falls onto me, and I fall to the ground. Thankfully, I’ve fallen down on the floor that has already been sweeped; but Raven landed on top of me anyway. Eventually, she calmed down enough to stand by herself, even though she’s still laughing.

After she was done, she seemed a bit serious, “I’m glad you insulted that little brat for a doll, but I am still thinking that you don’t know who you’re dealing with Jackie. His demon form is very dangerous...” She said. I was shocked, “How do you know my name?” I asked, since I don’t remember Gailiek saying my name at all during this conversation. Raven rolled her eyes, “Remember, you have been here your past lives, so of course I know your name by now.” I sighed, it seemed a bit invasive, but there’s nothing really I can do about it.

“So, Raven, what does his demon form look like?” I asked.

“It’s about seven feet tall, and black, with rags as clothing. It still has stitches on its elbows and wrists and knees, but it’s rather scaley. And he has very very very sharp teeth, which can easily bite your head off. He can also have strings come out of his fingers, sometimes they have needles on the end of them, and he can stab you with them, and control you that way.”

That explanation made E seem more dangerous than what I realized. I just thought that he may be a possessed doll, and he just has a grudge because he’s a demon, but now I see that it’s very clear that he can kill me easily. I gulp, “Well, thank you guys, but I think that we should go now.” I said, and before Katie could say anything else, she ran with me so I won’t leave her behind.

We went out and Kilinco was waiting in the living room, staring out the window and his eyes were more blue than green. He turned his head, and his eyes turned more of an emerald again, “Hello Jacklynn. Hello Katie.” He growled softly, we smiled, “Yeah, sorry we were late, I just wanted to talk about something.” I explained. He nodded his head, “Well, are you ready to go?” He asked.

“Yup. We are, so let’s go home.” Katie replied. But soon after she said that, a loud roar echoed through the house, and suddenly, it was dark. Very very dark and I couldn’t see anything. “What happened!? Where are the lights?” I asked. I hear a muffled scream, and I couldn’t feel my arms, so I moved and I instantly feel wrapped up in something, and I couldn’t breath. So I moved around even more, and I tried to yell for help but something was covering my mouth as well. I kept hearing muffled screams and some sort of blast, but other than that it was really silent. Soon after a few minutes, I could move again, but I was somewhat suspended in mid air and I couldn’t move my head.

“He...Hello?” I ask, looking around in the darkness. I hear movement, but I couldn’t see anything again. Then I tried to look down, and I gasp, there was only darkness below me, I couldn’t see anything. I’m not falling….just merely floating?? I was confused, but what I understand is that I’m still hearing the screams. “Someone tell me where I am!!” I try to turn, but I can’t move or propel very well...or is it the fact that everything looks the same so I can’t tell if I’m moving.

“Please! Someone tell me where I am.” I cried again. I then heard movement behind me, so I turn around. I was about to scream, but the thing behind me covered my mouth and made a hissing sound. I couldn’t get away from it, something was wrapping around me again. The only thing from the creature I could see was the glowing eyes and the dark outline, but the eyes are pale white, I couldn’t see a thing.

“......Silence……..” That voice was so quiet and barely noticeable. But in the silence of this void-space, I could hear it clear as day. He slowly removed his his hand from my mouth, and we stay suspended in the air. Wait, how do I know it’s a he? I then talk as quietly as my body could let me, “Who are you…?” I say it quickly so he wouldn’t have time to cover my mouth again. He didn’t budge. He didn’t say anything. He was completely silent, and it gave me shivers.

“Where am I? Who are you? Where are the others!?” I start panicking, and he started to reach for me again to silence me, so I tried to hit him. When I made contact, or when I thought I made contact, my hand just slipped right through him, so I start moving backwards. And then...as his eyes start to disappear in the void, I felt something grab me from behind. Multiple somethings, and I start panicking, until suddenly, the whole scene changed.

I was back in the living room, and the mirror next to me is broken. Kya and Hamaki are standing guard behind me, guarding me from something I can’t see. “E, calm down, we can’t afford to lose her!” Kya said. I see a whole bunch of scratches on her face, and I think a bite mark on her arm. Then something small and dark ran in front of me, claws outstretched. I didn’t know what it was, but I hit it so it couldn’t get to me, it latched onto my face, started screeching and clawing at my eyes. I screamed and tried to pull it off of me but I know it’s on well, “Get off D!” Hamaki said, voice deeper than before. I suddenly am suspended in air as someone tries to remove the small thing from my face. Probably Hamaki because I doubt that Kya can just lift me like that.

Soon it was off of my face and I drop to the ground, into the broken glass shards. I don’t know whether it cut my skin or not, but I just hear one word and I jump. “RUN!” So I do. I run to the hallway I didn’t run to before, the one right of the living room, but how did I not notice that at first? Did it just appear or something? I didn’t care as I ran away from the danger, as the screams and screeches of the small thing that was nearly ripping my eyes out, from the crunching of my feet whenever I take a step because all I’m stepping on is broken glass. I eventually make it to the end of the hallway, and it breaks into two directions. I go left, since it seems to go into a room when I checked. I ran into the room, and looking for a door, I quickly find one and shut it close, breathing heavy. I sit down in front of it and hug my knees, hoping that nothing followed me.

“J...Jack?” I heard. It sounded like Katie. I look up, but it’s too dark to see, “Katie? Where are you?” I still swivel my head. But I yelp when I see two glowing red eyes looking down at me. They weren’t Narko’s eyes...but I felt somewhat sick from it, I don’t know why. “Look, Jackie, take Reaper’s hand and follow him to the teleporter. There, we can get to Earth.” Reaper...is that it’s name?

“But what about the others?” I asked, still looking for Katie.

“They will be fine. I am already at the teleporter.”

“Wait, where is it?”

“About two rooms down.”

“So how come it sounds like you are right next to…” I look up at the red eyes, “Katie?”

This time, a different voice answers. It’s smooth and clearly male, but there’s a hint of anger in it, “No, I am Reaper. I’ll be taking you to Grim.” I gave him a blank stare, at least I thought I did, before reaching out. He took my hand in gloved ones, but when he touched me I felt a wave of nausiousness. I sway when I was pulled up, and I felt like I just want to shrivel up and die. “Sorry, Reaper can’t help it since he has the….” The rest of the words are mumbles as he pulls me along the dark hallway. I stumble after him, wondering if this is what a drunk person feels like, then if it is, how do they like it so much? He lets go of my hand eventually and disappears into the darkness. I felt much better when he let go of me, and I was able to focus on my surroundings.

Then I realize that I’m in the first room I woke up in, well, cave that I woke up in. Katie is next to me, and, no pun intended, her face was quite grim, as if she has just delivered sad news. “Let’s go Jackie.” She said. She nodded to a dark corner, and I felt the same sensation when I first teleported here.
