Kilinco? Who?
"This doesn't look familiar at all, sorry." The man who pushed me off the platform said. His name was Matthew; he was the secretary of fun activities in this place. "Oh well do you at least have a lost and found box?" Tina asked. We've been here asking questions for about 15 minutes. Matthew seemed bored of these questions. I feel ya bud, I thought. "We do, but this necklace doesn't seem like some that you can just buy. It looks custom made, maybe even hand-crafted. So it can be stolen from the box." He said. I sighed, we were hoping to give it to the owner so badly, but saying that has a point. "Touche." I said. He looked at me like I was crazy, "What?" I shook my head, "Nothing." He looked at me again, but then went back to saying, "Maybe you can keep it for now until someone comes by to say that they've lost their necklace." He suggested. For now, it sounded like a good idea.
We all nodded and head back to our cabins. Yes, we were in a summer camp, and it's been fun, but today was the second to last day here, so we are trying the things we haven't done before, such as the zipline. I walked along side with Tina, Kate, JT, Geol, Marissa, Kaya, and Nikki, we are all friends and we all live in the same neighborhood. It's been fun in the summer camp, and we even gave each other nicknames, like Tina is the Geek Queen, Kate is Mermaid Tomboy, JT is Amythest, after the girl in Steven Universe, Geol is Witchy Witch, Marissa is Grim Reaper, Kaya is Tornado, and Nikki is Tree Tops. We are all after our favorite elements, and I am Hot Head.
"So, what are we going to do with that necklace Hot Head?" Mermaid asked. I replied, "Well, we are going to keep it until we can find the owner, of course!" I said. Everyone knows the plan, but they agreed that since I found it first, and no one came up and claimed it, I would keep the necklace. It looked very pretty...I couldn't wait until someone claimed it, so I wouldn't get too attached.

It's been a couple of days, and no one came to the main building and reclaimed the necklace. I guess they've forgotten it, or maybe they left it there on purpose, but there are no necklaces that look like that. So it's definitely a custom made one, since we did some research and I found nothing like this necklace except one. There was this picture of this girl with brown skin and black hair, holding eight necklaces, except one of them was split, and can come back together. That's what Tornado theorised. Since I got to keep it, they we're somewhat jealous of me having the necklace. But they said so, and they dealt with it. Since it was our last day here, we were already packed and ready to go back home.
"Man, summer vacation went by fast." Amethyst said while packing the last of her things, then went on her phone to text that to everyone, since they're in different rooms. I nodded, "Most things must end, even if it's a bad thing." I said. Grim looked at me and sighed, "Lucky for you, I would rather live in a dump, than my parents, since they're mean to me." She reminded us. Yeah, her parents are abusive to her, and it's bad enough that she goes back home. They don't even care about her, since sometimes she would stay at one of our houses, and when she goes back, they act as if she just broke vases on purpose. I sometimes wish that her parents treat her differently, or at least get her into a different house to live in. The worst part is that she has no ride, so she's going with me, and that's not the worst part, it's her going back home from being in summer camp for a few weeks.
We were about ready, and we all met outside where our parents are going to pick us up. "By the way, how are you going to explain to your folks that you got a new necklace?" Witchy asked. I shrugged, "Eh, I can say that someone gave it to me during crafting day." I replied. Then came her car, and Witchy jumped in after saying bye and hugging us. Soon came Mermaid's car, then JT and so on. Our's was the last to arrive, and I let Grim in first, since we live in the same neighborhood, so we know where her house is.
"So kids, how was your days at Sunset Summer Camp?" Daddy asked. Daddy has brown hair and bright green eyes with white skin. My mom was hispanic and had orangish-brown hair with brown eyes and tanned skin. Yes, my adoptive parents are the best. "It was awesome!" Grim answered before me. I laughed, "Yeah, and I got this necklace during crafting day." I lied. I felt weird as I pulled it out from my pocket. As if...nevermind. I looked at Grim as she was looking out of the window, explaining what we did on each of the days. I sighed and sank back in the seat, I wish I could tell my parents about her parents, but Grim might move away from this neighborhood, plus, she doesn't like anyone else but her and us, her friends, to know about it.

We made it to her house, and her house seemed like a regular neighborhood house, but on the inside was a mess. I never went inside myself, but I did hear from Grim, and overheard her being abused while walking past her house. She went inside with a nervous grin, and gave me a wave before entering. I sighed and waved back with a pitying smile. It's nearly bed time, but I didn't feel hungry since we stopped for dinner and lunch on the way back. Once we were in our house, I quickly took a shower and changed into my PJ's, not bothering to wake up my siblings to say goodnight.
As soon as I entered my room, I fell on my bed and sighed as the ceiling fan swirled round and round. I pulled out the necklace, wait, it's mine so, I pulled out my necklace and looked at it. Just a regular necklace, but it feels weird...probably because someone might be looking for it or something. I took a deep breath in and out, and placed the necklace on the bedside table. And fell asleep.
Creak.......Creak........THUMP!
I awoke with a jolt. There were sounds that woke me up, but I looked around and saw nothing, since my eyes still need to adjust to the darkness. I looked at the bedside table, thinking that Henry, my brother, just went in my room to try and prank me.
The necklace wasn't there.
That didn't scare me, I thought that Henry might of stolen it, and I can get it back tomorrow. I grunted and tried to fall asleep again.......THUMP! There it came again. But it was more muffled, and it came from downstairs. Like something, or someone, fell over. It didn't sound something like a vase or something. I got off the bed and went to check it out, with my small pocket flashlight from my drawer.
You know the drill in horror movies, when you hear a sound, don't go to it. But I was curious, plus, I had pepper-spray in the kitchen, so just in case, I can quickly grab that, since the kitchen was just right of the stairs. I was going down and then I heard something new, CLANK. It sounded like a pot or something like that. I thought it might be Grim again, since she comes over at night sometimes. But when I saw the thing there, I froze up and didn't breath.
This thing was big, it was mostly grey and had four digits on it's hand, with a claw at the end of each. The hind leg was one somewhat of a paw, but still it's big, as if it was built for digging. It had a tail swooshing across the floor as it looks through cabinets. It's body was massive, but I can see ribs through it. It had somewhat of a long neck, and eventually I spot it's head, but when I was trying to make it out, the flashlight shined in it's eyes. It caught it's attention and stared at me, and I stared back.
I slowly made my way backwards, and it stared at me with green eyes, then suddenly it turned into yellow, and growled. I realized that on its head was a jewel simmilar to the one of the necklace, and it had the same pattern that I found on it. I gasped, and the creature growled louder, and started walking towards me. I walked back too, and eventually ran away from it to run outside.
I was fast.
The creature was faster.
Just as I was going to climb the fence of outside, the creature pushed me down and pinned me. Its teeth were showing slightly as it growled and kept me down. Its breath smelled too much like dog food. I closed my eyes tightly and waited for the creature to kill me. But after what seemed like an hour, the creature did nothing except for pinning me down. When I realized that, I was about to call for help, but the creature growled louder and covered my mouth and nose with it's paw. Then I couldn't breath, and struggled to try and breath, but it seemed like the creature realized that, and lowered its paw slightly, so that I can breath through my nose.
It's been a while, and I was waiting to see what the creature would do. After a few minutes, the creature loosened it's grip, allowing me to move my arms and legs. I did a bit, but with this, I can tell that the creature will hold me down again if I try to run, so I didn't. And soon, the creature took its paw off of my mouth, allowing me to move my jaw. I didn't call for help either.
And seeing this, it let me go entirely. I laid on the ground for a bit, but I slowly got up, hoping that the creature doesn't see it as if I'm escaping from it again. I got up and stood to my full height, but it didn't match the creature's height still. It was at least two foot taller than me, and it was on fours. It lifted it's head down and looked over me, as if I was the curious specimen instead of him. I gulped as it brought its head close to mine, so I could see it's teeth up close. I then realize that it wasn't doing anything, and I slowly raised my hand. The creature noticed this, but didn't do anything. Eventually, I lifted my hand high enough and started petting it on the neck. The creature growled low and soft, kinda like a purr, but I don't think that it can anyway. Then the eyes turned from a yellow to green.
Then I heard a voice, I wasn't sure where it came from, or who it was, but it sounded male. "I see that you trust me...good. You will need me for a while, but for now, call me Kilinco."
"Kilinco? Who?" I asked that voice out loud. Then the creature raised his head away from my reach, "Isn't it obvious? I am Kilinco."
