Chapter 2-On Earth, We Don't Say Bish

Pierce, Lady Grandma, Rhal, and I headed down the long hallways. This castle... this place... was like a fantasy. There were statues of guards and knights up and down the walls. I was captivated by the unreal design of structures and things before me. I knew Pierce couldn't help but smile, seeing me this way. My eyes alit by the forever night sky outside each floor to ceiling window. My lips curved into a seemingly unbreakable smile.

"So you're Asch's brother?" I ask Rhal as he leads us down the hallways, "I've heard about you a couple of times. Heard you were like a General or something?"

"I am the Leader of Damos' most powerful armies!" He called out. He said 'powerful' like it was some kind of achievement. It was, not. I shook my head and looked down at the simple printings on the rug that never curved. It was straight, at every corner, every twist, every stairwell. Straight.

"I never thanked you before," I said to him as I began to quote one of my favorite movies, "For saving my life." Ah, Beauty and The Beast.

"I did not save your life!" Rhal shouted. What is with these guys and shouting???

"Without you outside at that time I'm sure someone else would've found me and I would've been dead," I responded and took a few grand steps in front of him, now leading the way.

"She's right," Pierce added in, "The other Damos that come to this castle aren't stupid. They would've noticed your otherworldly attire and brought you to-" I held up my hand to stop him.

"I know," I said, and truthfully, I did. Asch had spoken to me once, briefly about his Father. The King. We continue down the hall in silence and I stand frozen in my tracks. Something... hurts... my tattoos... and my head... Somethings not right.

"Will she be safe?" Boomed in my head, a voice that wasn't my own. "With your powers, she'll be. You need to make sure they transfer to her." A separate voice, more unfamiliar than the last. "It's settled then-we'll make her the next Guardian."

"Tris!" Pierce said as I was shaken from my trance. His hands had a tight grip on my shoulders, and I made no attempt to shrug them off. "Are you alright? Everything was shaking!"

"Everything was-" I take a step back and look around, things are on the floor. Did I do that?

"Bith there you are!" Rhal screams as a Damos runs towards us. Tall, bleach blonde hair, and bright blue eyes. She was... pretty. But really? Bish? That's cutting it close, don't you think?

"Is everything alright?" She asked in a scared manner, behind her stood-Zex.

"It's that human I told you of," He said without a second glance towards me, "We meet again human."

"Tristian's the name, and this might be your world, but it's my game!" I said and stepped forward, glaring down at Bish and Zex, "So you sent this guy to come and kill my sister and I?"

"No," She answered, "I sent him to get Asch, so that he could die."

"WHAT?!?!" I shouted and stepped back. Asch is gonna... no...

"For the sake of the Kingdom!" She defended-as if that made it better!!! Something in me was... angry... very, very, angry. Without a second thought, I snatched Pierce's sword and through Bish into the wall-holding his sword to her throat.

"You're gonna tell me where they are right now!" I demanded. Her eyes showed fear, as mine shut tight. Think. Think... No... Remember.

It was like I wasn't in control, but at the same time, I've never felt more control over anything in my life. I turned the corners at breaking speeds and skidded down the halls along the simple purple carpet. Gotta find Asch. Gotta find Asch. That was all that went through my mind. Ava liked him. I know she did. He was like a brother to me and I know I was his sister.

I came, finally to a large room, floor to ceiling windows, each opened, showing off a kingdom I would see another time. At the far end stood Asch and a tall man who sat in a throne. The King. Knights guarded every side of them, until... It happened.

I don't know what I did.

I don't know how I did it.

But all I know is that all eyes were on me.

And that was not a good thing.
