The fire was back again...

"TRIS CALM DOWN!" I could hear Lief screaming.

"ASCH STAND BACK! YOUR POWERS ARE AMPLIFYING HER'S!" Rhys shouted off. It wasn't much that I could do... it wasn't much I was allowed to do... but I felt... tamer... I let out a single breathe as the fire turned to ash and smoke.

"I'm okay..." I said softly, an apology well on my tongue before Noi stopped me with a smile. Everyone smiled, thankful that I could keep it in control before someone got hurt. "We slide down here. Stay together." I lead up carefully, Noi coming up and jumping down first, Lief following, then Pierce, then Rhys. "Asch c'mon." He shook his head.

"I think this is where I depart..." He says with tears in his eyes, "I don't want to be the reason that anyone gets hurt..."

"Except you're not the reason," I said and climbed down to him, "I am. This was my plan, these are my powers. If anyone would get hurt... it'd be because of me." He took a step back from me in fear and all I did was take two forward. Wrapping my arms around his tall, stiff figure. "We do this. Together. That's what family does!" I said firmly and reached out my hand. It wasn't a moment before he attempted to take my hand, the ice below us cracked.

Out from under our feet.

I don't remember the ride down, I remember hitting my head, holding my chest, not being able to breathe. Wanting to be anywhere but here. I remember being warm, being calmed, being told everything would be okay. When I came to, I was back in the forest. With Asch. Quickly I stood to my feet, my eyes darting left and right as my head spun around from my quick movements.

"RHYS!" I called out, "PIERCE!" I kept looking, "NOI!" Nothing, again, "LIE-Lief..." I dropped my voice as I came to see it, the mountain. At least ten miles away. "No..." I said softly, "No..." My mind flashed back to just before the fall. The warmth. Asch. "ASCH!" I called out looking up and down for him. Muffled shouts coming from a tree. "Asch! Hold on!" I began scaling the tree, eyes locked on the branches he was stuck between. But once I reached him, I didn't get him out-I hid.

"Get me out of her-" I slapped a hand over his mouth just to shut him up. With a single motion, I pointed to the guards just below us. Scanning around for something.

"They aren't here," One of them said, "They'd be long gone by now." With a swift hand, the one smacked the other upside the head.

"I thought I heard something..." He said and we watched quietly as the two walked off.

"We're back near the castle?!?!" Asch whispered in a panic.

"That doesn't matter, we need to get back to the others," I said and helped pull him out of the branches. He looked up and then back at me and then back up.

"I can fly there," He said, "It's a mode for basic Damos transportation." I looked at him like he was crazy.

"Carry me then," I said. His eyes grew bug-eyed like I just asked him to come over while my Dad's and Ava were away. "If you can fly, carry me. We'll get there faster."

"You mean to tell me with all those wings you have, you can't fly?" He asked and now I was giving the crazy look. I've never tried... I stand up and look off the branch. Thinking about my dragon form, it's the least obvious, the least likely to get us caught. I will soar. I will fly. Hold my breath, and... I jumped. Well, more like a little hop-BUT STILL!

It doesn't take long for the wings to follow behind me either. With a quick pace, I'm up in the air, unsure of how to move my wings in the first place. Asch flies up beside me with a laughing smile. I shoot him a glare as he comes towards me, trying to avoid getting whacked in the face by one of my wings. How am I staying still with this? Just-HOW!? I take a breath and continue on, following Asch as he leads me in away from the guards, and we fly back towards the mountain.

"We do not tell the others that I can fly," I said, "Noi and Lief will want me to carry them after that," I commented and Asch just laughs.

"No," He said and turns to look at me with a smile, "No we won't tell them."
