"It's the things we love most that destroy us."

"It was his brother that just attended the meeting." Steve said with clenched teeth.

Robb took in a deep breath in anger, remembering the way The Dark One had used him to hurt Elena and showed him those images after. He immediately let go of Elena, storming towards the exit of the tent while drawing his sword.

"Robb!" Elena yelled and grasped his hand before he could go any further. "You can't just face him."

"I can't stay here and do nothing either!" He yelled back in frustration. His eyes softened when he noticed the distressed look on her face.

"I couldn't either and look were that brought us." Elena whispered and looked up at him with pleading eyes. She knew that this was all her fault, she basically handed the doll over to him.

"She's right." Steve sighed deeply. "We have to think about this."

"He knows our plans, he knows what we're going to do. Most likely he's already headed to Winterfell to tell the Boltons." Robb growled. "We can't just let him."

"Yes we can." Elena frowned when a new plan popped into her head. "We can use it to our advantage."

"We can make a new plan." Steve nodded. "The Boltons will think that they're one step ahead of us when actually we're one step ahead."

"Do you know any other way into Winterfell besides the Northern, Southern and Eastern gate?" Elena looked up at Robb. "Do we have a plan B?"

"You have the secret passage on the western side of the castle." Robb said. "But we can't get our whole army in through there."

"We won't have to." Elena said.

"Do you really think I'd let you go in there on your own?!" Robb raised his voice. Just by the look of Elena's eyes he knew what she was planning to do.

"I don't need your permission." Elena said and then closed her eyes, knowing she just said something stupid.

"Elena." Robb said in his warning tone. He narrowed his eyes at her while grasping her arm.

"She won't have to go alone." Steve interrupted their silent argument. "We can still send Louis with her like we planned to do before."

"I still do not like the idea of you going into the castle without me." Robb clenched his jaw and looked down at Elena.

"This is not a matter of "liking" , Robb, Sansa is still in there and we need to get her out as soon as possible." She looked up at him with pleading eyes.

"Don't wait too long to do that." Steve said. "When Ramsay hears you're planning to steal his wife he'll lock her up somewhere you won't be able to find her."

"Then I'll go right now." Elena made an attempt to leave.

"Wait!" Robb grasped her arm. "Just think about this for a second, we don't even know if The Dark One truly left."

"Besides, what about Damon? Where is he?" Robb asked. Elena's eyes widened when she realized she had forgotten about him. She turned to look at Steve.

"Don't look at me, the last time I saw him was when he was looking for you after you went after his brother." Steven frowned.

"We have to search for him." Fear was filling her body at the thought of what could've happened to him. Especially now that it was all her fault.

"Then The Dark One will know that we know that he's not Damon." Robb frowned.

"And if we go to him he will read our minds and see that we know it." Steve sighed.

"So basically, we can't do anything." Elena said. "Except for saving Sansa."

"Elena..." Robb sighed and closed his eyes. He couldn't stand the thought of letting her go now, not with the Dark One so close to them.

"At least send someone." She pleaded.

"I hate the thought of Sansa with Ramsay just as much as you do, Elena." Robb grasped both her hands. "What I hate more is the thought of Sansa and you in there with him."

"Then what do we do?" Elena sighed. "We can't do anything whilst the Dark One is around us. He can still read our minds easily."

"What does he want from us?" Robb asked and looked at Steven.

"Nobody knows." Steve sighed. "But I bet he doesn't like us."

"Damon is his brother, can't he stop him or something?" Elena looked at Steven.

"He has tried before, the brother he once had is long gone." Steven said.

"He is after you though." Steven looked at Elena. "So I think it's better for you to leave and save Sansa. He knows Robb is your soft spot."

"I'm a soft spot?!" Robb growled. "If that bastard doesn't control my mind I could easily defeat him with my bare hands."

"You're right." Elena nodded at Steven. She knew that if Sansa was there with them, they'd all be stronger. Not only because she's a strong woman now but also because she'd bring hope for Robb, hope that it will all be all right someday. "If Sansa is here with us, we'd all be stronger."

"I will tell Louis to get ready." Steven left in a hurry.

"No, Elena, listen to me." Robb grasped both her arms tighter, forcing her to look at him. "This is madness. You can't just break into Winterfell without anyone noticing. Especially when you're planning to save a Stark."

"Why do you keep underestimating me?" Elena frowned and looked up at him. She knew he was worried but right now the only thing she could do to right her wrongs was to get Sansa. "I know I've made mistakes but the only reason I'm still standing is because I have to make them right."

"I don't underestimate you!" Robb yelled and then closed his eyes. "Just think about this for a second. There's a big chance The Dark One is already there, he knows you're planning to save Sansa. How do you plan to get past him and the Boltons?"

"Louis will get her before anyone notices."

"Then why are you going with him?" Robb looked deeply into her eyes.

"I'm going, Robb. There's nothing you can do about it." Elena said and yanked her arms free, turning to leave.

"No!" Robb yelled and pulled her back, this time holding her more tightly to make sure she won't escape again. "You're doing this for Gillian, aren't you?"

"What, did he tell you to kill Ramsay or Roose? Is that why you're willing to risk your life, for him?!" Robb yelled, his hatred for Gillian boiling up again. "He's dead. He won't know if you killed him or not."

"Let me go." Elena said through her clenched teeth while glaring at Robb.

"What are you trying to prove here, Elena?!" Robb yelled in frustration, holding her tightly despite her protests. "I won't say this often but I'm your king, you have to listen to me!"

"I don't have a king." Elena growled and looked up at him, her eyes slowly turning dark. She ceased her protests. "Do you really think that now that all of those stupid northern lords call you king I'd actually follow you?"

"You're not going." Robb spoke clearly while holding her still.

"You don't have a say in this." Elena lifted her chin, trying to seem taller than she actually was.

"That means I will have to keep you here against your will then." Robb glared back at her.

"Elena! Steven told me you and I were going to party in-" louis barged into the tent happily but then noticed what was happening there. His mouth was wide open as he blinked a few times, still pointing at Elena.

"I could get a relationship therapist if you like?" Louis grinned while pointing at the door. "Damon may not be very experienced in that area but I'm sure he will get you through it."

"No, louis..." Elena sighed deeply when Robb let go off her and turned his back towards her and Louis. She took in a deep breath and then smiled at him. "What were you saying?"

"I thought we were going to Winterfell to chill with Sansa and Ramsay." Louis grinned, ignoring the tension in the air.

"Well yes-"

"No!" Robb interrupted Elena. He ran a hand through his hair in frustration before continuing. "She's not going."

"I'm sorry curly, captain's orders." Louis shrugged. When he saw Robb's expression though he corrected himself.

"Right, sorry... Uhm, your grace. I was just saying I, uuh." Louis stuttered when Robb continued to glare.

"Look, I meant righteous man or uuhm, mighty king or somethin' like that. I'd never call you curly, of course not. I mean, who the hell would call you curly?" Louis chuckled nervously and shifted on his feet. "Not that you don't have curls I mean, you do. Very beautiful curls..."

"So..." Louis shifted awkwardly, grinning nervously when Robb still didn't say anything. "I will just go before I say something stupid again."

"Please don't kill me." Elena heard Louis whisper when he tiptoed out of the tent.

She turned around and looked back at Robb again. His gaze was fixed on hers, his eyes determined and serious. He leaned on the table without saying a word, he didn't need to. His gaze was telling a billion words.

"I wish I could still hate you like I did before." Robb said and sighed. It wasn't the anger that was making him crazy, it was the fact that he couldn't even be mad at her because he loved her too much.

"We were never made for each other." Elena whispered and looked at her feet. She was way too stubborn for a lord, she had always been. She didn't know how to be a lady, didn't know how to behave like a woman. Robb sadly looked at her while walking towards her.

"I will not let you go again." Robb whispered and caressed her cheek. It was funny how their moods could change in a matter of seconds. It was one of the things that made him crazy about her, her feistiness and her ability to shift the mood in the room with a flick of her fingers.

"I don't think I'd be able to survive losing you again." Robb softly traced the soft pale skin with his fingers, looking how goose bumps raised on her skin after.

Elena nodded, knowing she couldn't promise him not to go. It was in her nature to save people, even for love she couldn't stop that.

Robb suddenly connected their lips, grasping her waist to pull her closer. Elena immediately reacted to his touch, her hand running through his soft brown hair while the other caressed his biceps.

Within seconds they were on a bed, lost in each other's embrance. For them it was like everything else suddenly vanished, the death, the problems, the ones they lost. Maybe that's why they just never couldn't resist each other.

Damon's eyes slowly but surely opened, revealing the night's sky above him. His whole body ached like it was dying yet he was still breathing. His breath came out in short raspy puffs while trying to move his limbs.

The cold and bitter northern air stung his pale skin, making him shiver when he slowly sat up.

A man was sitting on a rock, looking at him with his dark eyes. His black mid-length hair hung before his eyes, his mouth in a smirk. The man was muscled, his muscles showing through his shirt. His clothes were all black, black boots, black cape and black shirt. The clothing was thin but yet he didn't seem to be cold.

"Ethan." Damon groaned when he saw his brother looking at him a few feet away. It was like he was looking in the mirror when he saw him there, only The eyes that were once soft and gentle now looked at him with a hard glare.

"You never call me that anymore, why now?" The Dark One stood up, grasping his sword while walking towards Damon. He could feel the power radiating off his skin, the darkness that had taken over his mind and soul.

"Because for a moment I thought I saw my brother." Damon mustered out and glared up at The Dark One. He tried to get up but failed, he didn't know what happened to him but it was surely not good. "Then I remembered he is long gone."

"Damon, Damon." The Dark One chuckled and shook his head. "I just saved your live, some gratitude should be on point."

"I would've thanked you if you weren't the one who put me here in the first place."

"No,no no. You've got it all wrong." The Dark One knelt down before Damon. "It was our dear little sister that gave me my body back again, the one you stole from me in the first place."

"Now look at us, identical again." The Dark One grinned and stood back up. "What would Elena think when she sees me like this?"

"She will try to kill you, no doubt." Damon pulled one of the daggers out of his body, groaning in pain when the blood started to flow out of the wound.

"See, brother, I'm here for a reason. As much as I like to be with my dear family I actually have a reason to see you here." The Dark One walked around Damon slowly.

"What is it?" Damon rolled his eyes.

"I came her with a proposal." The Dark One knelt down before Damon again, his dark eyes burning into his blue ones.

"You have two options; join me and live," the Dark one smiled but then his eyes became darker than before, threatingly glaring at his twin brother. His voice became dangerously low, his hands and body suddenly surrounded by a dark mist.

"Or refuse and die."

~

Elena's eyes opened slowly. She could feel Robb's arm holding her tightly from behind, making it almost impossible for her to leave. Yet she did.

She slowly lifted his aems off of her, getting up slowly from the bed. She searched for her clothes, finding them all scattered around the tent.

"Louis." She called him mentally when she was dressed again. Her bow and arrows were laying on the table before she took them in her hands, together with Gillian's dagger.

"Yes ma'am?" Louis sounded tired, it was in the middle of the night. Elena took one last glance at Eobb, seeing him sleep peacefully.

"Get ready, we're going to Winterfell."
