"Fainted?" Sam mumbled while his hand reached up to his head. He wobbled on his feet and tried to regain balance by leaning against a dresser. "I never faint..."

"Maybe I should take a look at you." The maester stepped forward.

"There will be no need for that." Elena put her hand up, signalling for him to stop. "Thank you for coming, maester, but you're not needed here anymore."

"My lady-"

"Felicity please get my hood." Elena interrupted before her handmaiden could finish her sentence. She nodded wearily and grasped the hood, handing it to Elena while eyeing her carefully. Elena didn't pay attention to her though, she only watched as the maester left. She knew what the man had done to who used to be the Mountain but was now some kind of monster, even more than before.

"Are you going out, my lady?" Angelina asked.

"Yes, I am. Sam is going to introduce me to a friend of his." Elena's hands were shaking but nobody seemed to notice.

"What?" Sam was still busy trying to regain balance. Whatever happened to him sure had made an impact on his body, he felt like he had run a million miles in an hour. "I am?"

"My lady, it's past midnight." Felicity said as she helped Elena put her hood over her wings and made sure that the pearly white feathers were hidden.

"It is indeed." Elena adjusted the hood till it was no longer uncomfortable and turned around to face her handmaidens and squires. "Angelia, Felicity, should anyone ask for me tell them I'm here and that I'm not to be disturbed in any case."

"Are you coming Sam?" Elena left her room and handmaidens behind as she walked through the castle and towards the stables where her horse was waiting for her. Loki quickly followed her, his tiny paws making no sound against the stone.

"Might I ask what has gotten into you?" Sam nearly stumbled over on the stairs.

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." Elena opened the cage of her horse and strapped a saddle on the back of it.

"You know that when you leave just past midnight it will raise suspicions." Sam followed her lead and saddled his own horse.

"Only if we're caught." Elena mounted her horse and took the reins in her hands.

"So where were we going exactly?"

"Liane."  Elena put her horse into a gallop towards the gates, her hood waving in the wind behind her.

"Elena!!!"

"Fuck." Elena cursed and turned towards Sam. "Wait for me just past the sept of baelor by the fountain." Sam hesitated but when Elena narrowed her eyes he quickly obliged and spurred his horse. Elena stepped off of hers as Jaime practically ran towards her.

"Jaime! What a surprise." She put on a fake smile and turned towards him. "As happy I am to see you I'm in a hurry. So goodnight."

"You know that I won't be able to protect you if you keep doing this." He said as he stood before Elena.

"Doing what?"

"Leaving at midnight, going places but not telling us where. That raises suspicions, especially when you're the Stark's guardian." Jaime said. "I may not care what you're doing but my sister does."

"I don't care what your sister thinks I'm doing. I don't care what she or anyone else here thinks about me. So leave me be and let me go." Elena growled.

Jaime didn't though, he grasped her wrist and yanked her back towards him when she had turned around to leave. "I've already sticked up for you one time, I won't do it again." He warned her.

"What are you talking about?" Elena whispered. Jaime, a Lannister, had been sticking up for her?

"It doesn't matter. What matters is is that you're only giving them reasons to capture or kill you. Believe me when I say that they enjoy the way that you're practically handing yourself over." Jaime loosened his grip on her wrist but didn't let go yet.

"And you, Lannister, do you enjoy it?" Elena looked up at his blue eyes, noticing how close he actually was. Jaime didn't answer, he only continued to stare at her while holding her still.

"I'm sorry Jaime but this is something that I need to do." She shrugged his hand of and walked towards her horse.

"Don't say I didn't warn you." He stepped back when she mounted her horse. Elena looked at him for a few moments, his golden locks, and his blue eyes. His golden armour was gone though and as was his title as kingsguard.

"What is it Jaime, starting to care for someone else than your sister?" Elena watched as his eyes widened and then rode off, leaving him to stand alone in the courtyard.

~

"You sure it's here?" Elena looked up at Sam as he stared at the door.

"Positive." He knocked loudly, probably to wake Liane who was possibly in a deep sleep right then. They heard him cursing and soon also a few objects tumbling to the ground as Liane walked through his house in the dark.

"Who in the seven hells do you think you are-" Liane cursed as he opened the door but stopped when he noticed who had come to visit him. "Sam?" He smiled immediately. "What are you doing here at this hour?" His eyes then travelled to Elena's petit form, glancing down at her.

"I'm Elena." She smiled up at him and extended her arm for him to shake.

"By the gods how you've grown!" He smiled widely. "Last time I saw you you were still learning how to speak, now look at you."

"As amazed as I am to see you, Liane, There's something important we need to talk about."

~

"Midnight, during the full moon." Liane looked grim. "That's over a month. If what you told me is true and that he couldn't hold Sam's body for long, he's already in a dangerous state. I don't know if Damon's soul can still hold on for that long."

"We need to at least try, Liane." Elena looked at him. He had crashing blue eyes and brown long hair, almost as long as his beard. It looked great on him though. He didn't look like a maester at all, he looked like a warrior or even a king. "He didn't come to me just to let us loose hope.'

"You're right." Liane sighed and bit on his lip, looking down at one of his spell books. "If only Khadgar had been here this would've been much easier." He leaned his head on his hands which were leaning on the table. "We need to find a way to get some fresh corpses for the blood. The rest of the ingredients I already have stored away somewhere in here."

"So you know how to perform the ritual?" Elena looked at him.

"Do you have the doll?" Liane asked. Elena grasped it and hesitantly laid it down on the table. "Then we only need to find a way to get the blood."

Elena looked down, knowing that she'd regret her choice. This would bring her in even more danger when it came to the Lannisters and the little trust they had left for her. Nevertheless Elena looked back up at Liane. "That won't be a problem."

~

"Hand me the blood." Liane commanded and soon Elena gave it to him. He was mixing all the ingredients in some kind of odd bowl, chanting some words in a foreign language. It was the night, the full moon was shining in the sky. Damon had been trying to contact Elena for numerous times but never could he speak more than a few strangled words before he had to leave his host which was almost every time Sam's body. The blood the two had managed to get without any further trouble.

"It looks like we're summoning some weird demon or something." Sam chuckled nervously as he glanced down at the patterns that Liane had painted on the floor with the blood.

"We're only freeing a soul from a cursed doll and bringing it back to earth to its remains." Liane mumbled as he did some finishing touches on the drawings. He stood up and wiped some sweat from his forehead, glancing down at his work. "So yeah, it surely does look and sound like we're summoning a demon."

"Is it ready?" Elena asked.

"Indeed. You guys should step back though, I don't want you to get sucked in this stupid doll." Liane commanded. Sam and Elena stepped back as he told them to and watched as Liane got down on his knees. Liane's brows furrowed. "There's something powerful near us, I can feel it."

Sam turned around and ran towards the window, looking at the street. "It's Ethan." Sam said. Elena looked back at Liane who was standing in the midst of the circle, looking back at her with his eyes widened.

"We have to stop this, right now, before he destroys the doll and Damon with it." Sam climbed down and ran towards the circle, already trying to ruin the drawings.

"If we do, we'll have to wait for another month. Damon might not be able to hold on for that long!" Liane grasped Sam's arm to stop him.

"If we do continue Ethan will find out and kill us all! Is that what you want? To risk all of our lives?!" Sam pushed Liane off of him.

"He's already fading, Sam!"

"Wait!" Elena held her hand up whilst the other grasped the hilt of a dagger, the one that killed Evelyn and was supposed to be able to kill Ethan, in her hand.

"I can hold him back." She looked up whilst the two men were staring at her.

"You can't defeat him in your own." Liane said. "He's too powerful, even if you have the dagger. We're not even sure if it'll work."

"I'll have to at least try." Elena bit on her lip and then turned towards the door. "As you said, we can't risk all of our lives."

"What if you fail? What if Ethan steals the dagger from you? We won't have a chance against him then!" Sam protested.

"That's a risk I'm willing to take." Elena looked down at the dagger in her hands. She looked back up at Sam as she unwrapped her wings from behind her back and let the ice cover her from her hands till her elbows. She paid no attention to Liane, who was staring at her wings. "For Damon."

Elena walked through the door and closed it behind her, glancing around as she walked through the empty street. It was long past midnight. The only source of light came from the stars and the full moon above. She stopped in her tracks when she heard footsteps, a shiver slithering up her spine when she noticed a silhouette standing in the dark.

"Didn't mother ever tell you to not wander alone at night?" Ethan smirked as he emerged from the shadows. He leaned against one of the houses and crossed his arms before his chest.

"I wouldn't remember if she did."

"What is my sweet sister doing here at this time?" Ethan walked towards her, his pace slow and threatening yet lazy. "Enjoying the night? Looking for cats maybe? Or did you just come back from an inn?"

"Same as you I guess." Elena said whilst Ethan walked around her. "Searching for a poor soul to torment for fun."

Ethan chuckled dangerously, standing still before her body. His eyes searched her, trying to find any clue to indicate what she was really doing. "That's not what I was doing."

"I thought it was what you did for a living." Elena scoffed.

"You see, sweet sister, Jaime's mind informed me that you left the castle with our deal old Sam. And yet, here I find you, all alone." Ethan shrugged. "Now I know that our lovesick Jaime thinks a lot about you anyways but he did think that you were up to no good tonight."

"He's a Lannister, of course he doesn't trust me. In his eyes I'll always be a Stark that can kill his son or sister any moment."

"That's where you're wrong." Ethan clapped his hands together and nearly jumped in delight in front of Elena. "I think you managed to seduce our lion cub."

"What are you..." Elena looked at Ethan as a smile spread across his face.

"Yet here I was, thinking you'd never betray Robb. But I guess it's only fair after, what was her name?" Ethan murmured to himself, his finger touching his lip.

"Talisa." Elena sighed. If this was how she was going to distract him, she'd do it.

"Talisa! Yess... This isn't pay back, is it? Cause from as far as I know Robb only loved our dear Talisa because she reminded him of you, your stubbornness and wit and all. But Jaime? He's nothing like Robb at all." Ethan ranted, walking around Elena again.

"But, that doesn't matter now" He stopped walking right behind her back. His voice dropped to a dangerously low growl. Elena didn't dare to look back at him so she stayed still, unmoving.

"Where's Sam?" She could feel his ice cold breath on the back of her neck, goosebumps forming over her skin. Elena didn't answer. She felt the heat of Ethan's body behind her, his hands near her head, ready to manipulate her into telling him everything. "He went back." Elena swallowed loudly and closed her eyes.

"To Liane's house? Where you were just moments ago?" Elena turned around immediately to face Ethan who was smirking down at her. "You can't trick me, sweet sister. After all, I'm the trickster himself." He laid his hand on her cheek, looking at her eyes while he towered over her. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got a ritual to disturb."

"No!!" Elena grasped the dagger and pulled it out of its hilt, driving it into Ethan's chest immediately without thinking. When she realised what she'd done she looked up at Ethan's eyes to see what it did to him.

"Wha-what?" He stuttered, his eyes widened as he looked down at the dagger. He fell to his knees, his hands grasping the hilt. "How did you..." He coughed up blood.

Elena knelt down before him, putting her hand on his jaw and lifting his head so she could look at his face. "Your eyes." Elena whispered. "They're green." Instead of the usual black, they were like the sea, wild but soft at the same time. There was kindness in them, something she'd never seen before in his eyes.

"Ethan?" Elena whispered and grasped his head with both her hands. Hope began to emerge from within her, hope that he was finally back with her. That she had her brother back after all these years.

He trembled. She pulled the dagger out of his chest, throwing it to the floor. Ethan's body began to shiver uncontrollably, his eyebrows furrowing.

"Ethan?! C'mon don't go." She held his head in her hands but the green in his eyes slipped away and the darkness slithered back in him. He doubled over, gasping for air. When he was breathing normally again, he sat back up and unwrapped his wings.

"Nice try." The dark one growled, his pitch dark eyes boring into Elena's before he blasted her away and flipped his wings to fly away.

Elena's body collided with the wall, sending her to lie down on the ground in pain. She groaned as she tried to stand up, looking at Ethan's body who was already far away. He was flying towards the countryside, leaving the city behind him. That was either a good thing or a bad thing but Elena didn't think about that, not after she saw a flash of light coming from Liane's house.

She hopped towards it, opening the door and almost tumbling over as she did so. When she looked up at what had happened there, she saw Damon standing there in the midst of the circle. He seemed healthy, only worn out. A wide smile formed on her lips, especially when she noticed that the three had been hugging each other before she arrived.

"Elena?!" His eyes widened when he saw her stumbling inside, her arm glasped around her belly like she'd been cut. He ran towards her, almost falling in the process because his limps were still sore after being locked up for so long. He caught her when she almost fell over and set them both down, Elena leaning against his shoulder while he was sitting on the ground.

"What did you do?" His hands lifted her arm from over her belly. She heard him sigh in relief when he didn't see too much blood covering her dress.

"I think I scared the hell out of the dark one." She said with a small voice but then began to laugh, Damon and the others soon joining her. Damon hugged her tighter against her chest, breathing in the scent of her hair.

"I missed you." Elena's voice was croaky.

"I never left."

The picture of this chapter is the one that I picture as Liane (He's from the movie Warcraft, as you may have noticed there are also some other characters from that movie in this fic, just like much more other fandoms xd I wonder if you guys can name all of them.)
