"Ella, please." Abigail whined as she made an attempt to catch the little girl. "You have to learn this, your daddy told me to teach you."

"But I don't want to fight." Ella put on her big puppy eyes as she stepped away from Abigail again. "I just want to play."

"Then we'll make it a game, okay?" Abigail proposed as she slightly knelt down before the little girl. "You will act like you're a true knight. You know what knights do, they fight and train a lot."

"Do you mean that We'll play pretend?" Ella smiled, her eyes lighting up.

"Yes." Abigail sighed in relief when she finally found motivation for the little girl. "And you'll be a knight and I'll be your king."

"Can I be the knight of the flowers?" Ella jumped in excitement. Sansa chuckled while still holding a training sword in her hands.

"Of course." Abigail chuckled, stood up and gave Ella one of the smallest dummy swords they had in stock. "Now, pay close attention, one of the most important things in swordfighting is-"

"Stick 'em with the pointy end." Arya finished and walked up to the group with a smirk on her face. Jon, who had been watching the whole time, smiled as Arya sat down beside him and ruffled her hair.

"That is also important, but not what I meant." Abigail narrowed her eyes at Arya playfully. She then turned towards Sansa and Ella again. "What I meant was: know who your enemy is. Find out their weaknesses. You'll need to pay close attention, see the lightests of shifts, sense their movements and find out their weak spots."

Ella and Sansa both nodded.

"This way you'll be one step ahead of them." Abigail put her hands on her hips while looking at the two girls. "Now, since we're girls, we're generally weaker than men. Strength though, isn't everything. The most important traits in swordfighting are courage, speed and comcentration. Since we are also generally lighter than men, we have the speed."

"That's why we'll train mostly with daggers or knives in our first few lessons." Abigail smiled.

"Jon?" Arya looked up at her brother.

"Yes?"

"I'm sorry but I..." Arya took in a deep breath. "I lost needle." She looked down at her hands in shame.

Jon didn't say anything, he just put his hand on his sister's shoulder and smiled at her. He looked back at the three other girls who were now practicing with daggers. "We've all lost pretty much everything."

"I'll make you a new one." Jon promised.

"Don't." Arya objected. "It will never be the same as needle, and I don't want it to. I'll only be scared that I'll lose it again. Especially because the war isn't going to end anytime soon."

"It will." Jon looked at his sister, dumbfounded. She was only a child but she acted like an adult. It hurt Jon to know thag she missed her childhood, that she had to grow up so quickly.

"We've got the guardians, the Lannisters only have one. Besides, I heard the people are already turning against them." Jon told Arya.

"I wasn't talking about the Lannisters. I was talking about the white walkers. They're already here."

"Gillian is not one of them. What he is though, I don't know." Jon sighed. "But we'll find a way to defeat them, the white walkers. We'll make this right."

"That's good, Ella." Abigail smiled when ella threw one of the daggers right in the middle of the target. Target...  Abigail remembered her mission. She took in a deep breath, her smile dissapearing from her face. "You must've had a brother to be able to do that so well."

"I don't have any brothers." Ella looked up at Abigail.

"A very couragous sister then?" Abigail forced a smile on her face.

"No, I don't have any brothers or sisters." Ella pouted. "My dad and mom tried but mother died before the baby was born."

"I'm sorry."

Ella nodded but then her face lighted up as she looked at Abigail. "Will you be my sister?"

The pang of guilt that shot through Abigail's body was enormous and almost unbearable. She felt the tears welling up in her eyes, knowing what she would have to do.

Kill her. Ethan's voice rang through her head like an alarm on monday. Abigail looked down at Ella, seeing her big innocent brown doe eyes that were looking at her expectingly.

"Of course." Abigail's voice broke mid sentence. Ella's arms soon wrapped arround her body as her head buried itself into Abigail's shirt.

That's when the yelling started.

Jon and Robb, who had been watching from the wall, both imediately ran towards the direction of the yelling, Arya and Sansa soon following after. Abigail followed them with her eyes, keeping her arms around Ella's shaking body in order to protect them. If only she could protect her from herself.

Do it, now. Ethan commanded sternly.

Abigail looked down at the small mop of blond hair that was buried in her belly. So innocent, so naïve. Ella never truly saw how bad the world was. She never saw anyone for who they truly were, instead of how she hoped them to be like. A child with the kindest of hearts. How can you kill such a small wonder in this forsaken world?

The dagger felt strange in her hands as her hand tightened around it. Abigail took in a deep breath, bit on her lips and closed her eyes.

"Go, quickly!" Damon yelled at Elena when the screaming continued. They both transformed into a black panther to be able to move faster.

The noise became louder and louder as they neared the courtyard. People were running away from a fire that seemed to have started in the castle.

"Steven!" Elena called his name after she had transformed back into her usual form. Steven was kneeling down before one of the handmaidens that had been injured. The girl seemed to be in utter fear, her face covered in dirt and her eyes widened in terror.

"Just go, get in there! There are more people inside!" Steven pointed at the castle. Elena nodded and sprinted into the main hall of Winterfell where people were running around in the thick smoke.

"I will take left, you take right!" Damon commanded and dissapeared into one of the halls on the left side of the castle.

Elena followed his commands, running into the hall on the right. The smoke started to get thicker with every step she took further into the castle. That was when she remembered that Gillian, who had still never left his room, was probably still in there.

"Gillian?!" Elena coughed as she opened the door of his room. When she discovered he wasn't there, her heart began to fill with dread. He wasn't in a right state of mind, how could he survive a fire like this on his own?

"Gillian!!" Elena continued to call his name as she ventured deeper into the castle. Her eyes widened when she saw blood spatters covering the walls on her left and right. Fresh blood.

Elena started to scream his name louder and more frequently as more and more blood seemed to cover the walls. Yet there was no body to be seen.

Until she heard someone whimper in one of the rooms. Elena quickly entered and tried to see the woman through the smoke. When she found her she knelt down before her body, seeing that there was a stake of wood in her belly.

"What happened?" Elena looked up at her brown eyes that were filled with pain. She didn't know the handmaiden but still it pained her to see her like this.

"They tried to stop him but he..." The woman coughed, blood spattering from her mouth. "I'm so sorry."

"It's okay, just stay with me. Don't close your eyes, you're going to be okay." Elena promised as she looked around trying to find out how to get her out of there. She couldn't pull out the stake or else the woman would bleed to death. But if she lifted her body, the wood would've gone deeper into her body.

"Just tell my so... That I-" the woman bit on her lip when another shot of pain went through her boddy. "that I love him."

"What? No, just-" Elena stopped talking when she noticed that the light had already gone out in the handmaiden's eyes.

"No..." Elena sighed and quickly stood up again. She had to find Gillian before the same fate would come to him. Elena ran through the castle, calling out his name as the heat became worse. She found a body on the ground only he wasn't killed by the buidling falling apart nor the fire. His belly was torn open and his throat covered in his own blood.

"Gill-" Elena came to a halt when she saw him standing on a balcony, looking out over the city.

"Gillian? What are you doing? We have to get out of here." Elena cautiously took a few steps towards him. She could only see the back of his head. When Elena's eyes went down to his hands she noticed the blood that was covering them.

"Gillian?" Elena's voice shook with fear. One hand already grasped her bow while the other reached for an arrow. Gillian slowly turned around to face her.

"No, no, no, no." Elena whimpered and nocked an arrow. His face was covered in blood, his eyes just seemed dead. He slowly stepped towards Ellena, his feet dragging over the ground.

"Don't make me do this." Elena pointed her arrow at his head while her eyes were filling with tears. "Please, Gillian." She sobbed.

"Elena?" Gillian frowned, his eyes turning back to the usual dark brown. "What's going on? Are you okay?"

Elena only bit on her lip while still pointing the arrow at his chest. He was covered in fresh deep red blood, not his own blood.

"It's going to be all right, remember? If you don't give up, everything will work out eventually." Gillian smiled, his standard smuck smile appearing on his lips. "At least, that's what my father used to say..."

"Well, it has worked out for me this far." Gillian frowned for a few moments but then his face lighted up again. "Listen, maybe this will cheer you up. I've negotiated with the blacksmith at Dreadfort and he's willing to make dummy swords for Wickendale. Then the boys will be finally be able to train!"

Elena sobbed, knowing she had never told him about the orphanage after he died. He was remembering.

"Elena?" Gillian frowned when the arrow was still pointed at his heart. "What are you doing? It's me?"

"Elena! Everyone is out-" Damon ran to her side but then noticed Gillian standing there. He saw the blood covering his arms and the area around his mouth. Damon's eyes narrowed. "Shoot him."

"What? Who the hell do you think you are?" Gillian exclaimed, looking between Elena and Damon. "Elena? What the hell is going on?"

"Gillian..." Elena sighed, not letting go of her arrow. She just couldn't. He just came back, he remembered. It seemed just like he never died. "Look at your hands."

Gillian looked down as he was told to. He nearly jumped in surprise. "I... I-I... I don't know how that came there, I-" Gillian looked up at Elena with big teary eyes. "I must've cut myself or something."

"You're dead, you don't bleed anymore." Damon snapped and turned towards Elena. "This is what we talked about, Elena. He's dangerous. He's a risk. You have to kill him."

"I'm not dead? What are you talking about?" Gillian frowned. "Elena, what's he talking about?"

"Gillian, please." Elena begged with her arrow still drawn.

"Kill. Him." Damon commanded.

"I, I, I don't understand." Gillian stuttered. "I'm your friend, I won't ever hurt you or anyone else. You know that, you know me."

Elena bit on her lip and supressed another sob. A single tear fell from her eyes as her voice cracked. "I don't think I do anymore."
