16 years before the arrival
to Earth

THALIA MURPHY, a little seven-year-old blonde, was running through the corridors of the Ark as far as her short little legs could carry her.

She had been playing with some children until Abby Griffin came to her side to tell her that "her mother's best friend" was giving birth. That was one of the lies Chancellor Jaha had been told so she wouldn't find out she was Alex and Judith Murphy's daughter.

She was running so fast without looking ahead, which caused her to bump into someone. She lifted her head and watched as a boy about her age held out his hand as a small blush painted her freckle covered cheeks.

The blonde accepted his hand with a smile and, after apologizing to the freckled boy, ran off again, leaving the boy confused and at the same time with a small smile on his face, wishing to meet her again.

Thalia arrived at her destination and threw open the door, finding a scene that melted her heart. Her father was sitting in one of the chairs in that white room as he cradled his little brother John Murphy, while her mother watched the scene with a smile on her face and was slowly closing her eyes due to the tiredness she felt.

Her parents' gazes fell on her as they saw her enter and they both smiled at the sight of their complete family.

Thalia slowly approached where her father was and saw how the little baby smiled at her and let out a small giggle. The blonde felt her eyes begin to sting with excitement and tenderness, all the lies and deceptions she would have to tell everyone would be worth it.

Alex watched as her daughter gawked at John so he laughed before speaking to him "Would you like to hold him?"

Lia nodded excitedly and sat down in the chair where her father was. The man held the baby out to her and the blonde, as carefully as possible, held him in her arms, watching as her baby brother babbled strange sounds and laughed.

The eldest of the couple knew that her moment of happiness would end at some point, since she would have to hide it as much as possible so they wouldn't discover that they were siblings, but, in the meantime, she would enjoy every second with her family.

Thalia smiled at John as he grabbed one of her fingers and stuck it in his little mouth. The little girl laughed happily and wiped away the tears of happiness she hadn't realized had come from her eyes.

"I will always protect you, little brother, I promise..."

And Lia would keep her promise.
