**Ingrid's POV ***

I could feel the sudden surge of energy  that time Lili fell down. I was in control and I was sure nothing would happen until I saw that guy standing at our door.

"Don't let strangers in" was ringing in my mind all the while I was talking to the person at the door . My mom warned me about strangers but I have no clue why did I suddenly remember this .

I directed him to the outhouse unknowingly  and  yet somehow was entraced by him. Not in the romantic way but something about him was different and somehow I felt his presence had an effect on me.

On our quest to get the power back , I led Lili to the basement and I felt the air around change Something inside me was bustling, bustling with energy. I felt it had something to do with this place.

I left Lili in a hurry because  I spotted the Grimoire. That book which caused all this drama. I try to sneak it out and end up walking fast on the way back hoping Lili doesn't notice the book.  And she doesn't , thankfully. 

I feel the sense of power rising in me   and I knew I  had to get out from here before it burst out, before I took it out on Lili.

I hurry up walking past Lilia, when I hear her call me. I turn around and see her gulping down in fear. Maybe she could also feel it,  the change.

I brisk walk not wanting to catch any more attention. I hurry up and walk home , I see Mrs Potts staring at someone from the window and see that Lili was in that guy's arms . I felt Lili wasn't safe with him  , he had a bad vibe coming from him or maybe it was from me. 

Urggghhhh, I need to figure things out. I mentally yell.

I was walking up the stairs when I was suddenly blinded by the light of the chandler, looks like the power is back .

I was sitting on my bed and slowly turn around the pages , trying to understand what was written. Most of it was either gnawed out or in Latin . They looked like spells and the figures were hard to decipher. I see the same symbol I saw in Nana's journal. The ring with the flowers . What was it with this ring and being present everywhere . 

I could hear those voices again . They were like whispers in the air , I focus my energy and try that shield that I did the last time and it works. I don't feel the cold air brushing past  me anymore. 

" Arrgghh god, I need to find out what all this is. " I  yell frustrated. I feel the air turn hot around me  . Woah, wasn't I just feeling the cold air just a second back ? 

I spot something move in the corner and see that it was just my shadow, I was scared of my own shadow ? 

I needed some answers, thinking so I get up and make my way towards nana's room hoping to find her diary.

On the way , I catch my reflection in the mirror . I was shocked to see that my eyes are red. I run to the bathroom to clean them, maybe something fell in my eyes, but I still the same red. Like what the hell is  going on with me ?

No wonder Lili was so scared, maybe my eyes were red back then too. I go down to Nana's room and search her drawers and find the book. Luckily, I do not encounter anyone--yet. On the way back to the room, I peep down to see where these two were. I see Mrs Potts still staring earnestly at the window and sitting by it , rubbing her palms . It looks like she is keeping an eye on someone. Why the window ? What was she looking at ?

I had to find answers to so many questions , but before that I had to find out what was going on with me . 

I go back up and make my way to west wing, Lili's favorite part of the house hoping she was here. I really need to  ask her what is going on with me. I go to the balcony and see that it was empty . I almost turn back but 2 silhouettes near the outhouse catch my attention. I observe them and see them making their way towards our home. 

Was it Lili, with that guy ? Urgghh, Lili why did you have to be with him. 

I feel the air around me change and I remember the red eyes and immediately rush of to my room hoping no one sees me. I read Nana's diary and I read about the secret circle Lili was talking about and it was all boring adult stuff. Maybe the old book has something . I take my phone out and try translating stuff from the book. Unfortunately, the translated stuff it doesn't make much sense . 

I see an image of a fire and something written underneath it . With great difficulty I translate it, it says point your hand in direction .Urgghh , this translator sucks .I still go ahead with it , pointing the palm of my hand towards the window , which had a few tress near it .  I  read those words 

" Cupidibus flammis hic veni " 

out loud and see the window catch fire. 

" Fuck" I yell and search for something to undo this. When I realize the fire is spreading fast.I quickly rush to the bathroom and carry some water in the bucket and throw it at the window . It still doesn't die. I get another bucket of water and successfully put out the fire. 

What the hell was it. I kept wondering over and over in my mind. 

" No more experimenting " I say out loud to myself . I go to close the window and see that a few  branches of the tree half burnt because of it . 

Well , I'll take care of it tomorrow , I think to myself and shut the window and close the curtains, to not remind myself of this .

I make my way back to bed when I trip down on something. I kiss the  floor within a second and I look around to catch the culprit. I see a book fallen down . Ah ! The culprit !

" Stupid book " I say and kick it . But it doesn't budge at all , as if glued. 

I pick it up  , to check it it was actually glued or something . The cover looks familiar and I casually open it and see it was the same book the Lili found at Nana's desk the other day . I see the symbol of the ring appear again .  I make it a point to read through everything . This book could be the key for my answers.  I read in Nana's diary that she had memory blocks and wasn't quite sure what was going on with her . It read

" June 11th, 1985.

Today was a bad day. Elizabeth was trying to avoid me , she looked scared.  I tried asking her  what happen but she doesn't even talk to me. I got home to see a commotion in the backyard and the barn was a mess. No one went there except me since last night  . I saw a few tress uprooted and fallen down . They looked half burnt too. It looked fine yesterday night when I came here. Who did this ?

I go to my room and freshen up and see my eyes , turning RED . "

"Shit. Nana also had red eyes " I whisper and I feel the temperature dropping by every minute. I turn around the pages to read what was going on with her. 

I skip a few pages where all I read was about her doing some stuff and finally talking to Elizabeth and something about her lover. 

" June 30th, 1985

Today I came across a book in the storage room in one of the towers. It had all weird things in it. I'm scared of what is going on with me. Elizabeth also confessed that I was acting weird over the days . We decided to go speak to the old woman who many believed is a seer and has answers to most of the things. She lived by the woods , we had made a plan to go there after school. Let's see what happens tomorrow ."

July 1st, 1985

" Today we went to that old woman's house. It was a small cottage by the woods and it had a very different and powerful aura to it . I could feel a weird presence . We went inside and the woman seemed alright . She looked old and wise . The minute she looked at me and she looked shocked and said I was a very gifted person. I had no clue what she meant . When I asked her what she meant she told me time will tell everything. "

Oh god, how frustrating . I could feel how annoying my granny would have felt.

July 20th, 1985 

" I felt very weird today . I was angry on Betty for being such a bully and I accidentally knocked her down without even touching her. I had to run away from there , so people would stop calling it out on me . I could feel a lot of weird things happening lately. Like how I couldn't find this one novel of mine , but found it the next minute. Even when I was angry on Lizzy , I could feel the power surge in me. I decided to go alone to meet that women and ask what is it with me "

I flip over the page and was shocked by what I read

July 21st , 1985

" I have powers. Super natural powers. I can do MAGIC, just like the people in the "secret circle ". I am a SUPERNATURAL. Call it a WITCH or anything.  I have powers. I am scared of my own shadow, I do not know what can I do . I do not know anything . This is weird, I'm scared. The old woman told me I'm gifted and I can break or make things . She said that and started laughing like a vicious old lady and then when I went to meet her again later , she wasn't to be seen. She just disappeared. "

There even was a picture of this house , which I had no clue why was it even taken. 

Shit , Nana was a witch. She could also feel everything like I did. Maybe I got it from her. Maybe I too am a WITCH. Was mom also a witch , Is Lili also the same ?

I was too scared to make a move, what if something bad happens to me. I suddenly hear the maniac laughs I heard in the forest resonating around me . The breeze now turning harsh, the glimpses of some things I never saw flashing in my mind.  I see blood and fire everywhere. I see people yelling. 

What is happening to me . What are these images ? Who are they ?

I wrap my blanket around me and sit there upright unable to fall asleep. After what feels like forever I see the first ray of light hitting my bedroom floor and I hear a knock on my door. Maybe the maids were back. 

" Iddy..Iddy" says a chirping Lili opening my door.

" Oh my god , what happen to you are you alright ? You look so pale , what happen ?" she asks questions after questions .

I remain quiet unable to even comprehend what to tell her. 

" Okay, come on . Let's go to school.  You may feel better ."

I silently nod my head and get dressed like a robot. We reach school on time and I have no clue how did I even make it here.

I was sitting in my class , which was History . I was almost drowsing off to sleep given I didn't sleep yesterday when a flash of metal falls in my eye. 

I turn to look at the source of it  and see it was of a ring. The same ring that I was wearing , the same ring mentioned in the book . I look up to see it belonged to that new guy at school. Wait , how did he get his hands on this ?

Wait, isn't he ------

"TRRRRRRRRINNNNNNNGGGGG

I was awaken from my thoughts by the school bell. 

Who is he and how does he have this ring. Weren't we the only the members of the secret circle having this ring ? There were more members to this ?
