**Ingrid POV **

Who is messing with me? Are these the same voices that I could hear, back when I did that spell in the barn? And what is up with Emily?

"And what is it?" I slowly ask Emily, afraid what might be the answer.

"I just feel weird at times. Like I feel sad, then happy and suddenly angry and I don't know the reason. I guess it was hormones, but lately, it has been getting stronger and I doubt if they are even mine. " she says prancing around.

Eh? Weird.

"If not yours, whose?"

"I have no clue," she says agitated.

Oh great. Amongst all this confusion, this one just topped it.

We hear a shrill sound signaling someone was the door.

Maybe Lili was finally here. We hear footsteps approaching us and see Mrs. Rose with Lili right behind her.

"Finally. Come on we have a lot to tell you." Em says dragging Lili.

"Emily, I have some work so will be leaving to the station. Take care of your grandmother." saying so she leaves the room.

We take the stairs and make it to Emily's room and I throw myself on her bed. Today was exhausting more like emotionally not physically.

"Umm... Guys, I have something to say " Lili whispers.

"So do we. Why don't you go first?" Em says and I really was in no mood to talk now.

"Looks like our suspicion was right. The guy in our outhouse is the Beast. I followed him and saw him killing and eating animals right in front of me." Lili says her voice quivering.

"Draining them of their blood you mean."

"Yeah and he was also super quick."

"Oh great. At least one thing is clear amongst all this," I say.

"Amongst what?" Lili questions, confusion evident on her face.

"Em you may want to answer that," I say looking pointedly at Emily and so does Lili.

" I can feel.. umm...others feelings. I guess," she says

"What? How is that possible?"

I bet you know the answer, don't you? That voice again.

We hear someone knocking the door and see Emilys Granny at the door.

" You guys may want to know what is going on. I couldn't say before, because of your mother."

"Yes, please. Why not in front of mom? " Em says asking her to come in.

"And how did you know what we were talking about?" I ask. Something about her doesn't quite settle.

I know everything. Says that voice with a mischievous undertone.

"They were that one generation who didn't get the powers because they split up, but it looks like it somehow came together in the end."

" Who split up?" Lili asks now sounding curious.

"The families of the Secret Circle. The circle can only be formed when the descendants of the original circle that is the new members who had to form the circle are in the same place. "

"It never was complete, was it? "I ask.

"You've been doing your homework. " Mrs. Smith answers whilst handing us the book she was holding.

"It's true, the circle was formed many times before ours but it was never complete. It always had a member less. Even though there were always descendants of the original families, it wasn't complete. "

"Why wasn't it ever complete?"

"There had to be another member. But none until now amongst the original families had more than one child. Except for the very first circle. "

"Weird." Lilia and I whisper while turning to look at each other.

I sense this isn't good and it is somehow linked back to us again.

You are right. It is.

Fuck this voice. Whose is it?

How is it possible? I think mentally, hoping that voice answers it.

"So that is again interlinked to us??"

" Yes. The circle is almost complete. Except one weird thing. I'm guessing there are still only 5 members right?"

"Six including Jake"

"Oh," she says sounding surprised and looked like she had a few questions of her own.

"You may want to read that book," she says and gets up making her way out, but she turns in the last minute and adds

" Also don't try anything, unless I'm present. I'll be back in a minute"

I try opening the book but it doesn't budge, maybe there is a lock. I try again and see no such lock or anything. I pass it on Em, who also has no luck opening it.

"What is with this book?"

"Here, let me try," Lili says while taking the book from Em.

It opens the minute Lili touches the book. It spirals out of control, the pages flying over making a flapping noise and a strong gust of wind suddenly stinging our faces. It was like a monster book with just a very ancient-looking leather cover.

It all suddenly stops and the page open has an eerie glow to it. The page read as follows with a neat cursive writing :

She hwa hath genrephod this book,
She hwaes blood haveth caused havoc,
She hwa sacrificed her blood, she can make or break,
She whose hath a freond , a mirour, a tvinnr always with her.
She and only she can bring you savacioun or cause your damnation.

Weird. Like what does it even mean?

I take the book from Lili, trying to understand what it meant. But the book shuts the minute I take it back from Lili.

"Woah, why do you hate me so much?" I ask directing my question to the book.

Em chuckles.

"Iddy, I guess it only answers me. Maybe because my blood was used for the spell."

Oh, makes sense.

"But what even was it about? "

"Sounded strange."

Lili looks like she knows something and Em looks terrified.

"Why do I feel so scared. My gut feeling tells me this ain't good." Em says getting up searching for something in her cupboard.

She finally takes out an old, dusty book from the cupboard. She dusts the book and I could see the zillions of dust particles fly in the air under the light.

" Haachhhooo!! " Lili sneezes rubbing her nose.

" Em dust it elsewhere. I'm allergic to it."

" Almost done. Here check this book."

"Yeah no, I'm not opening it least it won't open again. This book already hurt me enough" I say pointing to the dumb book which didn't open.

"Oh, Iddy. How about you Lili?"

"No, thanks. This one caused enough damage."

"Well, I'll just directly say what I read," Em says pausing a bit, being the drama queen that she is.

" So every member of the Secret Circle has a power and a reason. Just like us."

" I don't have any power remember," Lili says interjection her monologue.

" Maybe you have an even important reason. And if not for you we couldn't open magic books." Em says trying to cheer her up.

" So what do you wanna say. "

" That I can sense what you guys are feeling. Everything including your fears, your weakness, your happiness. Everything. "

I gasp. Is this her power?

"Iddy, I could feel it when you were getting angry all those times and Lili, you know something about what we just read in the book, you were afraid of it, weren't you? " She says looking at Lili.

What the actual fuck? She has a cool power. She can feel everything that people hide and can actually help us.

" Umm-- what?? NO. " She says clearly lying.

We both give her pointed glares. Yeah, she can't hide anything from us. 

She is a lousy liar.

"Urrgghhh fine. I guess that thing whatever it was - - it was weird and I felt it had something to do with me, though I couldn't really decipher it, but it was my gut instinct," she says through gritted teeth like she was angry and didn't really want to tell us this.

"Lili calm down, it's okay. No reason to feel afraid." Em says.

"What makes you think I'm afraid."

"I can feel it. Come on, get used to it already. "

"So my granddaughter has the ability of pathokinesis."

We look behind Em to see her granny standing by the doorframe.

Wow, we didn't even hear the doorknob turn.

You were too engrossed to listen. Says that voice in my head.

I look up to see a mischievous smile on her granny and she was looking directly at me.

Wait was it her all the while.

YES, IT WAS.

"Yes, it was." Em's granny says smiling at me.

"It was what??" Lili asks looking between us

"I can communicate telepathically."

" How is the even possible?"

Mrs. Smith, just smiles and a second later Lili gasps in shock.

Oh, she just did it again.

We head down after making plans for tomorrow's practice and make our way to the car. The weather was terrific. The cool breeze touching our skin like a feather, the branches of the trees dancing to the tune of the wind. The weather was perfect for a romantic dinner. Oh Kevin, why did it have to be this hard to get back to you.

I roll down the car windows to enjoy the wind, not minding my hair. I love this kind of weather.

"Earth to Iddy. What are you thinking about?"

"Nothing just about how things have flipped 180° in a matter of days."

" I know right. I mean all I wanted was a peaceful year at school and looks like we got more than what we bargained for."

I hum a yeah in response and stare at the road outside. It was dark, but I loved it more than any daylight ever. We reach the main gate and I get down to open it, given Mr Clark wasn't present.

I catch sight of a silhouette approaching us from the distance and reality sinks in. Maybe it's that freak from the outhouse.

"Lili, hurry," I say getting in the car.

She drives at full speed all the while honking hoping to grab some attention of the maids or Mrs. Potts who we hoped were still in the house.

I could see him approaching us faster than we were driving and Lili was driving like a maniac. Given we have a cold-blooded murderer on our tail.

"Why the hurry, sweethearts?" he says standing right in front of our car.

Oh no, how did he end up coming here so quick?
