*** Lilia's POV ***

"A little to the left. " Ingrid yells.

"Em stay close but don't make it obvious"

"Will you guys shut up and let me drive." Em finally shouts losing her patience.

"There look he took a left, go go go.."

The car almost skids as she makes a left turn in the last second.

The road was muddy and the ride was bumpy.

You must probably wondering what is going on. So last night after Iddy feel asleep  we decided to not annoy her or tell her anything that could irke  her given how she is reacting and her mood swings adding up to it. She seems to be in a sensitive spot and we didn't want to annoy her given school starts tomorrow .

"Did you also feel the sudden change of temperature ?" Em asks.

I nod my head confirming her suspicion.

"Didn't it like happen the last time too back at my place," she says

"Yeah, all weird stuff have been happening lately."

"When did it all start?"

"When we entered the forbidden tower."

"What did you guys do there?"

"Nothing really we just saw a huge raven and came across one of granny's books."

"So how was that the source of all this?" she asks confused.

"Oh no, it lead to us going to the barn and ending up using the book we found in the abandoned tower."

"Oh the crazy stuff which you guys did and apparently it didn't work?"

"That's what we thought but given the changes in Iddy, I'd say otherwise"

" Phew... All this in a span of few days. Now I understand why your parents were afraid to leave you guys alone." she says mockingly.

"Em, be serious for a sec will ya? I have no clue what Iddy is going through  and now looks like Mrs potts is hiding stuff and who knows what will happen once we go to school."

"Yeah, I'm dreading school too, especially if she sees Kevin. I'm praying she doesn't loose her shit."

"Yeah me too. Let's keep Kevin away  from her way for as long as can and hope nothing irks her." I say yawning.

"Go to sleep Lili. I'll also leave."

"Shut up and sleep here you can go tomorrow." I say and fall asleep next to my sister.

I hear the door creak after a few minutes and I guess Em got up.

I fall asleep and am soon lost in the beautiful world of dreams.

I feel the cool breeze hitting me and it feels like home.

I feel something cold on my body, some liquid flowing around me. I suddenly feel exposed and the cool breeze now seems even stronger. I hear someone calling me.

More like someone shouting out my name.

The world around me tumbles and shakes, it takes me quite a while to settle but by the time I settle in I was being shaken again. Wait I was being shaken. I look around and see darkness, I see a source of light and blindly  follow it, I end up opening my eyes only to see  Em's  face over mine shaking me oh-so-violently to wake me up.

" It's already 8 Lili, school starts in 30 minutes. "

I look around and see these people threw water on me, so this was the liquid I imagined.

Oh shit, I have school today.

Why did the holidays have to end so soon?

"No time to cry, get up now," Iddy says as if reading my mind.

Wow she is back to being herself, maybe today won't be so bad.

"Oh, by the way I picked out your outfit, remember the tradition - - matching clothes on the first day"

I nod my head, happy that I don't have to go through the pain of choosing a dress.

I go to my room, brush and have a quick shower. I see my dress already placed on my bed. It was a brown pinafore dress with a white full sleeved  shirt, with raagan sleeves.

"Aww that's so cute," Em says, from behind me.

"I know right. I'm already loving it." I say and check myself out in the mirror.

"Hurry up Lili," Iddy yells already sounding her old self.

I quickly put it on and pair it up with tan knee length boots

I go down to see Iddy wearing the same outfit with just a coat thrown over.

We reach school in record time credits to Iddy driving and we hurriedly make our way to the main building where we would get out schedules for this year.

We literally run off for our classes the second we get out schedules.

I had Literature and lucky for me Emma was also here.

The first half of the day was quite peaceful, something doesn't really add up. It looked like the calm before the storm.

I hear the bell ring and quickly get up to go to the cafeteria, I already see Emma with Iddy. More like Emma holding up Iddy from something. I run and make my way there.

"What is it?" I ask looking at Em.

"Oh nothing, she just saw Kevin!!" she half yells.

"And??"

"Nothing. He just ignored her."

"Does this guy like have a death wish?"

"Take her out and I'll deal with him" I say and make my way through the crowd. 

Maybe I was too quick in thinking Iddy was back to being normal.

I finally spot him sitting with the other football players.

I walk up to his table and see him looking at me with gear in his eyes. Poor soul, doesn't know I'm not Ingrid.

"What is wrong with you?"

"Me, what did I do?" he asks his voice shaking a little as he speaks.

Looks like he was scarred after that last incident.

"Dude why are you ignoring my sister? What has got into you?" I ask hitting the table unintentionally.

"Phew... I thought it was Ingrid."

"You dated her for so long can't you tell us apart?" I ask genuinely curious.

"I can, but given how she has been acting lately I feel I don't really know her."

"What exactly happened that day? Weren't you surpposed to meet her or something?"

"No, I don't remember," he says and somehow it looks like he is pain just by saying those words.

"So why are you ignoring her?"

"I'm not. I'm just scared what will she do if she sees me."

This guy has a point, even I don't know what would she do if she sees him, I just got a taste of it some time back.

"Are you dating someone else?" I ask remembering the photo Em showed.

"Do you really think, I'd go after someone after being with your sister for so long. And we just fought it's not like we broke up. We just need a break."

He did go out with my sister for quite a few years.

"Umm.. Yeah okay. Don't cross paths with her for today. I'll let you know when she is a little calm"

He nods silently.

I leave them and go back searching for Iddy and Em. I see them sitting outside with our food trays.

"Iddy he is isn't ignoring you" I say the minute I see them and hope she doesn't go all hulk again.

"Umm. Okay!" she says acting nonchalant about it. Wasn't she just angry a minute back?

What is up with her I wonder. I turn around to look at Em who looks equally confused. I choose not to probe further.

We have a silent lunch and head back inside.

The rest of the day was uneventful except the usual lame jokes made on teachers and apparently we have a new student here.

I hear students everywhere talk about him and how hot he looks. The girls were already making plans on getting him and the boys were either planning on hating him or planning to befriend him.  I still didn't get the chance to see  this student yet.

What's so great about him that everyone is talking about him?

So every student knows every student in this school, like literally. It being a small town everyone knows everyone. So when someone new comes, they tend to grab attention. I wonder who this new comer is.

It was the last hour and we had P. E. I head over to the gym and see Iddy and Em already there. What the fuck, did they both like literally have the same classes?

I go change into my uniform and go to them. I see our teacher finally arrive and yells

"Go to the track field outside! 10 laps everyone."

I hear groans everywhere and students reluctantly walking outside.

Like what, the very first day and we are already being tortured.

I see Kevin amidst the crowd and pray Iddy doesn't spot him.

We reluctantly go out and start running. I see people around running past me, like as if they were on wheels.

Was I so slow?

After after seemed like forever, we hear the Mr. Brook, our P.E coach whistle signalling the end of the class. And I literally fall down on the track where I was running and Em also follow suit.

Ingrid loves PE and I see her looking at us and nodding her head in disappointment.

"You guys ought to do more exercises."

"Not even in your wildest dreams," I say and Em was even lazy to say anything and lazily nods along.

I see Iddy looking distracted and her eyes focused elsewhere. I get up and follow her line of sight, KEVIN with another girl?

Didn't he like tell something about not going with another girl. Guys can be such bastards!

I get up and slowly, very carefully make my way to Ingrid slowing calling to her. Not wanting to anger her - again.

I kick Em and nod my head towards Iddy and she soon scrambles up. We go to Iddy, try talking to her. But her eyes looked distant and I see that they were red not her usual colour.

She looks at Kevin and only him. I stare at them hoping they realise they were being watched, after a split second I see both of them fall apart like literally fall on the floor away from each other and somehow I knew it was Iddy's doing.

I turn around and see the anger on her face obvious and the temperature change as usual. This is staring to become a routine. We manage to drag Iddy to the parking lot - away from Kevin. It is very close to the track where we were running laps.  I feel someone looking at us and scan the area.

I was distracted by the squeals of girls and see groups of girls gushing over something, literally surrounding us.

"Oh god, look at him. Ain't he perfect, "

I hear a girl near me squeal. I turn to look to at whom they were looking at.

I see a guy who is devilishly handsome, with one heck of a dark messy hair getting into a car. Something about him seems odd, like I know him but I don't quite figure it.

"This guy! "I whisper.

"That car! " Iddy exclaims.

Wow she calmed up relatively quick.

"What car? Which guy? " Em asks.

"I saw that car at Mrs Potts place" she says pointing at the car this guy was getting in.

"He looks familiar but I'm not quite sure." I chip in.

"Looks like we are up for a ride. Quick, let's follow him" Em says running towards our car, which was luckily close by.

And this is how we ended up in the car chase.

Looks like this bumpy road was leading us straight to the forest.

Oh, no!!!

So looks like we finally know who this mystery guy is.

So I promise a lot more action and more stuff in the coming chapters.
