Ivy forced Bruce to ingest a plant that nearly tore him apart internally almost ending his life as it altered him. It wasn't as simple as what happened to Selina, his fear, his inner darkness were increased allowing Bruce to use it physically. 

To actually create things with them. Out of his shadows, out of actual fear. Upon contact with others he could actually know of they're afraid of... His eyes glow bright  yellow when he uses it.

He can disappear into darkness, shadows at anytime when people look away from him.

He feels like a monster...
When he's overwhelmed, confused or surrounded he unintentionally uses another ability. A cry that echos, shatters, and bursts whatever direction he's facing.

But the most destructive is what he calls Blackout. All the light in the area is suffocated and engulf making it impossible to see. What happens next is horrifying to hear and brutally attacks anything around him. 

"I know your afraid. And I like that."

"You wouldn't believe what it's made of."

"You can't tell people what I am..."

"I'm a monster."

"Blackout isn't just getting rid of all the light. It's entities, monsters, phobias created from the darkness, the fear from inside of me and from you....When I close my eyes and use it we could be surrounded by bodies. "

"I need a cure!"

"It's not a gift!"
