The Gods Must Be Goosey
"How do you know the grim reaper?" (Y/n) asked Mandy as the three walked to Billy's living room.
"He's our best friend forever" Mandy replied nonchalantly.
"Unfortunately" Grim added sourly.
"How the hell did that happen?" (Y/n) asked before sitting down on the couch.
"Mandy cheated on a bet and ended up winning because of it" Grim replied before sitting on the couch as well. "Now I have to be her and Billy's best friend... forever"
(Y/n) looked at Mandy approvingly. "Glad to see you're smart enough to cheat. Way to many people are to proud and stupid to cheat" Mandy nodded as she smirked smugly.
"Great" Grim shook his head. "Now there are two of you. I should have known that any more friends you make would be just like you"
"Why settle for any less than perfection?" Mandy asked as she shrugged. She then turned to (y/n) "I just wanted to introduce you. Now you should leave, Billy's parents can be insufferable"
"Don't need to tell me twice" (y/n) nodded as he stood up. "See you Blondie" Mandy grimaced at the nickname. Grim seemed to notice and smiled.
"Be polite Blondie" Grim taunted Mandy with an evil smirk. "Show your friend to the door"
"Why? He's got feet and he remembers the way we came in" Mandy replied before glaring at Grim. "And call me Blondie again and I'll stick your scythe so far up your ass-" that was when (y/n) made his exit.
Luckily enough it seemed that Billy's house was only a couple blocks from (y/n)'s new home.
(Y/n) walked through the front door and ignored his uncle yelling at courage. "Stupid dog!" (Y/n) walked up to his room and locked the door behind him.
He sighed before walking over to the window and looking up at the sky. It was bright with only a few clouds in sight.
In one of the few clouds stood a Goose God in a toga. The goose stared down from the clouds at the rows of houses. "Empty." The goose clutched his chest. "My heart is empty, and my clouds are full!" The goose grabbed a lightning bolt from his toga and threw it at a random house.
He walked from that spot to his thrown sitting atop some more clouds. "A goose. A gander. A godly goosey gander without love is nothing, but a fowl" he sat on his throne. "Without love all this-" he motioned to the clouds. "-is but puff and fluff and stuff" he grabbed his head and honked twice.
Below Muriel Bagge sat on her seat on the front porch of the house. "Eustace?!" She called to her husband.
The goose god heard the woman's call and looked down at her with wide eyes. He gasped excitedly and honked twice again in delight as he stared at the woman lovingly. He honked twice once more.
"Oh pure and formless beauty, oh light, oh sky, oh baby's breath. You have grown solid, you have grown real! You have grown... fat... you have grown real fat. And your name is..."
"Muriel?!" Eustace called back to his wife. "Muriel?!"
"Muriel" the Goose God smiled. "If letters be in order, let them be in such order as to spell... Muriel."
"I am filled, full, and dizzy. I am... a stuffed goose" he sighed in delight. "If I gaze at her longer I shall be consumed. Has ever a goose god gazed upon such unfeathered beauty in mortal flesh? Does a goose god pursue a mortal woman? Does one who calls the clouds home love one who must floss? Does a Goose God love a Muriel?!" He shrugged. "Meh. I'll give it a shot"
The goose grabbed flowers and a heart shaped box before the cloud he was on became smaller and descended towards the house. Right before he landed before Muriel he jumped up and onto the roof scared. "Flowers, candy, they pale in the wake of her beauty" he threw the flowers through a window before sighing.
"Huh?" (Y/n) asked confusedly as he was hit in the head by the items. He looked out the window but saw nobody. He shrugged and opened the box of chocolates before eating one.
"If I am to make her mine I must toss away my fears like lint from a dryer! I am a Goose God!" He went down to the porch only to see Muriel had gone inside. He knocked on the door. "I must have this woman as my queen!" He honked twice again.
It was not Muriel who answered the door however. "What do you want?" (Y/n) asked as he opened the door. "And why are you a goose?"
"I am not just a common goose!" The God replied insulted. "I am a goose god. I am here for the divine beauty known as Muriel!"
"The only way she likes Geese is cooked" (y/n) lied as the Goose God looked disgusted. He knew he needed to get this weirdo away as soon as possible.
"Cooked goose?" The Goose God asked as he tried not to throw up at the thought. "Surely you jest. Tell Muriel I shall await her out here"
"Yeah... no" (y/n) replied before closing the door.
The goose huffed before making his way to the back of the house.
Muriel was doing the dishes when she heard the sound of an instrument. She looked out the window before seeing the goose. "When a Goose God loves a woman, a woman big and round. When a Goose God loved that woman, a Goose God makes this sound" the goose quickly honked twice.
"Aw how lovely" Muriel smiled. (Y/n) groaned before lowering the window shades.
(Y/n) walked out of the room before pulling out his phone and calling someone. "Mandy? No, don't worry how I got your number. I need grim over here. Yeah. Yeah. Need someone killed"
Ten minutes later Grim, Mandy, and (y/n) were standing outside of the boys house. "He's back here"
(y/n) said before leading them to the backyard where the goose god was standing on a cloud singing. "Goose God and Muriel! Goose God and Muriel! Goose God and Muriel forever!" He stopped singing and bowed. "Thank you" the cloud he was on moved quickly back up into the air.
"Oh. him" Grim huffed. "I hate him"
"You know that moron?" Mandy asked with a raised eyebrow.
"He's a Goose God" Grim shook his head. "The most lonely Goose God. He's a real pain"
"Yeah I got that" (y/n) said impatiently. "Get rid of him!"
"Gladly" Grim smiled he swung his scythe and opened a portal.
Soon enough the goose came down to the ground. "Muriel!" He then noticed Grim a second before bony hand wrapped around his throat. Grim through the Goose through the portal before closing it.
"There. Done" he replied with a smirk. "Now let's go home. My show's on"
"Is be gone for good?" (Y/n) asked curiously as he looked at where the portal had been.
"No, he'll be back. He's a Goose God after all. Nothing can hold him forever" Grim replied with a shrug.
(I needed to use the Goose God. I needed too.)
