One Week Later
Annabeth's POV:

I climbed out of the van at the airport and smiled as I saw Alton and Richard standing there with their suitcases and other important objects with them. I pulled my suitcase out of the van and after I thanked Argus, I made my way over to them.

"Glad to see our little protégé is here on time" Altos said, and I smiled

"Thank you for waiting, I had some last minute things to deal with, but everything is set!" I say happily as they lead me through security and boarded our plane.

I sat in my seat and my mind immediately went to how happy I was going to be while working on this project, my mind was racing about how I was going to take over this whole project. A smile slowly found its way across my face.

Percy's POV:

I sat straight up out of my bed, a cold sweat on my forehead. I shake my head as I walk over to the fountain and splash my face with cold water. The images of my most recent dream were burned into my mind, leaving my nerves frayed and my hands shaking. I steeled my nerves, and slowly got dressed. Once I had my clothes on, I looked around and spotted a letter on my nightstand. I picked it up and read it quickly, the words on the paper slowly biting against me but I ignored them as I put the letter down and walked out of my cabin.

As I walked, I kept my eyes on the floor not wanting anyone to see the bags that have been getting darker underneath my eyes. As I walked to the pavilion, I noticed no one was watching me, I smiled slightly and walked off towards to the training arena. When I reached the center of the arena, I closed my eyes and took several deep breathes, letting my instincts take over. I felt my body move fluidly as I activated my shield and blocked invisible attacks and slashed through none existent enemies. Though while my movements seemed perfect and calculated, my mind was anything but. The sound of battle echoed in my ears, the images of a falling moon seared my mind, then a loud and echoing roar overtook everything before I came back to my senses.

I looked around and saw that the Ares cabin was there watching me in awe, even Clarisse had a somewhat shocked face on. I raised an eyebrow at them in confusion.

"Percy, what in the name of my father was that?" Clarisse asked and I shrugged as I capped Riptide and put the pen in my pocket

"I don't know what you are talking about" I said before beginning to walk out of the arena

Third Person POV:

As Percy left a trail of light colored energy dissipated off of him before vanishing completely. Once he left the Ares cabin shook their heads and shrugged before getting to their training, however Clarisse narrowed her eyes before going into her own personal training.

Percy made his way to the lake where he sat down and looked out over the water a longing expression on his face. He pulled his legs to his chest and continued to stare as someone sat next to him in the sand.

"Is there something you need Lord Hermes?" He asked without looking at the new comer

"Well, I know my presence is very familiar but how did you know it was me Percy?" Hermes asked as he leaned back in the sand

"It was just as you said, your presence is very familiar, that and I doubt anyone besides my father would sit next to me on a sandy beach" He said with a slight chuckle

Hermes smiled and nodded before he reached into his messenger bag and pulled out a letter with a silver seal. He then handed the letter to Percy who took it with a confused look on his face.

"Artemis sent it, don't ask me why, she just said to give this to you and not to open it" He said before he stands up and brushes himself off "Well, I have to head out, lots of letters to send you know, take care Percy" and with that Hermes ran off down the shore before vanishing completely

Percy raised an eyebrow before looking at the letter and opening it. His eyes quickly scanned over the contents before he rolled his eyes in amusement. He folded the letter and stood up, turning to walk to the big house to talk to Chiron.

When he reached the familiar sky blue building, he spotted Chiron on the porch in his wheelchair looking over the camp. Chiron smiled when he saw Percy walking up to him, the old centaur had begun to worry about his pupil, ever since the immortalizing ceremony on Olympus, his pupil had been distancing himself from his friends. Opting to train alone in the arena or go swimming in the lake past curfew. Chiron pushed those worrisome thoughts from his mind as Percy reached the porch.

"Percy my boy, how may I help you?" Chiron said calmly causing Percy to smile

"Well, I just received a letter from Artemis, she has asked if I had made a decision yet. I wanted your advice on what I should do" He explained, and Chiron nodded as he motioned Percy to sit down across from him

Percy sat down and looked at Chiron as the old Centaur turned his wheelchair and faced the young demigod. Over the next few hours Chiron advised Percy on his next course of action, since there was no war looming over their heads, Chiron urged Percy to do something for himself for once in his life. After a lot of discussion Percy finally agreed to take Artemis up on her offer.

Percy left the big house with a sense of purpose again. As he walked through camp, the campers noticed that Percy no longer had an aimless look in his eyes, his strides didn't have a lack of purpose and the sight brought some people to smile.

Percy's POV:

I reached my cabin and walked over to the fountain once again. I flipped the lights on, and a rainbow appeared above the water from the spray it created. I fished a drachma out of the water and tossed it into the shimmering illusion.

"Oh, Iris goddess of the rainbow, please accept my offering and show me Artemis" I said calmly, and I watched as the rainbow shifted into a screen and it showed a river with the aforementioned Auburn haired goddess bathing

Quickly seeing this, I immediately turned around, so the back of my head was showing. I then started to count silently, when I reached a count of thirty five, I heard a female clearing their voice. I glanced behind me and saw Artemis glaring at me with a red face, her arms were crossed but I kept my eyes on hers.

"Is there something you needed Perseus?" She asked quickly the embarrassment very present in her voice

"Um... I can come back at another time..." I stammered and Artemis shook her head

"Just get on with it" She ordered her blush getting darker, but I decided not to say anything and just nodded

"I wanted to let you know that I would like to join you and your hunt for a while" I said, and she smiled slightly before nodding

"You can head on over right now, we're located in Glacier National Park in Montana, I'll get a tent set up for you!" She said excitedly "Oh and make sure you bring something warm" She said, and I nodded and made to wipe the message away when she turned around and jumped around like an excited little girl

The sight caught me off guard and she turned around allowing me to get a full look of her body. It was at that moment she opened her eyes and spotted me, her whole face turned red as she quickly swiped her hand through the message. I just shook my head and attempted to purge the image from my mind, because if I didn't, then there would be one less hero in the world.

After several minutes, I had suppressed the image and started gathering my personal belongings. Starting with my minotaur horn and ending with my watch that Tyson had made for me. I then put on a dark blue hoodie that had a golden yellow trident on the back with 'Percy' in Greek above the trident and 'Jackson' below the emblem. I walked out of my cabin and looked at the setting sun. I held my fingers to my mouth and let out a loud Taxi cab whistle before waiting patiently.

In a matter of moments, a pure black stallion descended from the sky and landed in front of me. I smiled at my old friend as I mounted up and took the reins.

'Where are we heading boss? Olympus?' Blackjack asked as I flicked the reins slightly and he took off into the air leaving the majority of the camp behind in confusion

"Nah, this time we're heading to Glacier National Park in Montana" I respond causing Blackjack to nicker slightly

'Boss, I may be the greatest Pegasus to grace this world, but I do have limits, how the fuck do you think I know where that is?' He retorted and I saw the flaw in my rush to leave the camp

"We'll just get directions when we land in Montana" I said confidently causing Blackjack to whinny in amusement before he started to glide

Over the next few hours we flew far above the ground, only landing to rest for a little bit or to get food. Once I believed we were close to our destination, so I asked for directions and found that we were a few hundred miles away. Groaning I remounted Blackjack after feeding him a dozen donuts and we took off once again. We talked about random events that had happened over the past few months even making plans for the future. However, our conversation was cut short when I spotted the familiar circle of tents the Hunters of Artemis made when they were setting up camp. I motioned to Blackjack who saw and slowly started to descend. When we reached the ground, Blackjack slowed to a trot before stopping in front of the Auburn goddess who was flanked by the entire hunt.

"Percy!? What are you doing here?" I heard the familiar voice of my cousin Thalia as she spotted me

I dismounted and patted Blackjack urging him off. He took the hint and flew away from the group leaving me in front of the hunters alone.

"I came because Artemis wanted me to join the hunt for the foreseeable future" I explained causing several of the newer hunters to make a face

"The hunt is for Girls only filth, so take your sorry ass and leave before we kick it" a newer girl said causing Thalia to turn on her

"Lexie, Percy is my cousin and the one our lady invited to join us" Thalia said

"Milady, you can't be serious about allowing a boy to join the hunt... even if it is temporarily" another girl said as she hid behind Lexie staring at me fearfully

"Percy will be joining us on our hunts, he will however have rules he will have to follow, and if he breaks any of them, then appropriate action will be taken. But I invited him to join our hunt, something that I haven't done often" Artemis said as she walked forward and I noticed she was wearing sandals with a traditional tunic, her bow was slung over her shoulder with her quiver and she had a silver circlet on her head "And don't bring up Orion Phoebe, Percy is different, he is kind, respectful, humble..." She started before shaking her head "The point is, he deserves some sort of respect for all that he has done, regardless of what he tells you" she added on at the end with a pointed look at me

"I don't deserve any respect milady, I simply want to earn it myself" I say with a shrug causing the hunters go silent for a moment "Anyway milady, you said you had a tent set up for me?" I ask and Artemis nods before leading me through the camp and to a navy blue tent at the edge of a stream

I smiled before I noticed this was the same stream where I called Artemis. As soon as I made the connection the image flashed through my mind and I hung my head low.

"Percy what's wrong?" She asked before she realized where we were and a blush rose on her cheeks however, she quickly regained control of her emotions and opened up the tent "here you go, no one is allowed to enter it without your permission, if you have one of my hunters in here then you must keep it open. For entering my hunter's tents, the rules are the same" She finished, and I nodded

I then looked up at the sky and sighed as I saw the sun setting.

"I am going to turn in for the night milady, I'll see you in the morning?" I say and Artemis nods before walking off

I walked into my tent and zipped it up before walking over to the cot that was provided for me. I set my bag down and laid on the cot before closing my eyes and drifting into the realm of Hypnos.

However, my peaceful sleep was ruined by a loud familiar roar, the sounds of battle once again echoed through my mind as I saw flashes of light and the sounds of explosions echoing around me. The dream came into focus and I saw a full scale battle, with large machines, I saw people casting spells and a large dragon emerging from a moon that was then destroyed. The dragon then proceeded with using some sort of ability that had beams of energy shoot out and start destroying the ground around the battlefield. I then saw one of the beams head straight for me before a light blue barrier was erected in front of me. In a matter of moments however, the barrier was shattered like glass before the dragon lowered itself to our level.

It was at that time a light blue light shot into the sky along with several others. I watched in awe as several jagged spires appeared and shot into the dragon and created a sphere of energy around it as twelve symbols slowly stood up. It was at that moment I thought the fight was over, however, the dragon quickly broke free and blasted the spell apart. I was just about to look around when a light blue light surrounded me and my vision turned black.
