Faith:
'Faith!'
"Down!"
Daniel pulled the hem of my shirt and yanked hard, pulling me out of the destructible force's way. Barely. The pure size of it ranged about 20 feet, and the lenght of it was even bigger. The force came in contact with a mountain a hundred kilometers away, the force melting it away. It ceased to exist by the time the S-rank creature had used his power down, lighting the forest on fire around us.
My eyes remained wide as I took in a deep breath, the ground rumbled.
Footsteps.
"Again!?" The sound of the huge demonic creature charging his palate was heard again, a force of power sent again in our direction. Daniel and I flew up to the skies, noticing this time the creature was able to turn his head and direct the lightning strike elsewhere. It forced us to do a pretty wide curve, the air felt heavy around the force. Almost impossible to fly on. "I guess we're spotted...!"
My eyes flew to the S-rank creature taking huge steps on his six feet, they moved in harmony. However the unnerving thing was it wasn't interested of the piles of people in front of it, on the contrary. It was now clearing the forest out of it's path and walking up the mountain- it's eyes fixed on us no matter the clouds hiding us. It had sensed us- noticed us. And it was coming straight in our direction.
'The ugly B-rank thingy is attacking us!'
'What the hell is that power!?'
I noticed further in the distance where the troopers were standing a wide smoke screen, almost like an explosion happened. To my horror I only saw clothes flying- not a person in them. The smaller being was eradicating their flesh and bones? A horrific ability to do, concidering these things weren't from our planet. How easy it was to destroy us.
"Look." Daniel breathed next to me, horrified.
My eyes flew to the S-rank creature taking large steps to gain it's distance to the mountain and us, destroying the forest and vegetation immediately under it. Almost like a force opposite to mother nature, as it was to create this was to destroy. The creature easily set the forest behind it on fire by it's light up tail, ignoring the chaos it was bringing upon to the world. Hideous, ugly creature.
Yet as I narrowed my eyes closer I noticed a dark person on top of the creature's head, slamming his weapon to it's head. Yelling at it to command his will and lead him to us. The person I so happened to run into when I was captured-- the whole purpose this war had started.
King Belial...
"Impossible." I gasped, a flinch going down my spine as I made eye contact to the black voids of the Demon King. The only purpose behind it to kill and destroy. How was this happening? How did he know we were here? Was it the beast he controlled telling him so- and if it did, how was it possible? "We've got to fight now--!"
As the words slipped from my mouth a tight leash was wrapped around me, causing me to freeze. I hadn't noticed anyone else's presence.
"Faith!" Daniel noticed it immediately and drew out his spear, cutting the leather easily wrapped around my torso. I felt it then and there, turning around instantly.
"Almost missed all the fun."
I glared at Aron and Camilla flying in the air before us, the leash belonged to the vampire Queen. Aron was giving us the biggest grin of all time while Camilla laughed, sending out spike flashes of red at us. Blood drops. I groaned and drew out my blade, easily cutting them apart. It was too late to embrace what was coming from behind- as our heads snapped to the immense power source coming from behind.
"Fuck-!" I yelled in agony as a spark ball of black and purple hit our backs, sending us to the ground. Knocking us purely out of air by the explosion. Daniel grabbed a hold of me before we hit the ground, making us a rolling mess in the dirt and grass. Painful groans left us as we slowly regained, noticing the force burned our wings. Such dark power. And it was making us weak.
'He's noticed our lucky charms A and B!'
'All units. Group 2, 7 and 8 join the 1st group and disengage from the battle ground to go after the target and S-rank creature. The rest be known the B-class creature has 3 hearts, each must be destroyed to kill the creature. It must be neutralized immediately.' Alchadar commanded in our heads, informing of the sudden changes.
'Follow our lead!' Chris said as well.
Alchadar's coming...
I took a sharp inhale as a blade was sent in our direction, a groan left me as I stood up. I knocked it off and saw shards of red again, digging my weapon to the ground and concentrating on a shield. A white one appeared and gave us a really needed protection from Camilla and Aron- yet I widened my eyes as I heard the creature charging it's palate again.
"Now!"
A command of King Belial's roared as I noticed the S-rank creature's humongous head pop behind the treelines, blue smoke leaving it's mouth as the force was sent to use. I widened my eyes yet gritt my teeth, no time to move out of the way. It came in contact with my shield, immediately sending me back. It was strong- too strong. I yelled to embrace it more and failed as my feet slid on the ground, knocking us back a dozen feet. A crack imbedded on the shield as I froze, it wasn't withstanding the force. The fear of figuring out what it did once it hit us I wanted to be left non-figured.
"You got it." Daniel groaned as his hands covered mine, I noticed the time he put it to good use and transformed to his Angel-form. Good thinking. Since it was a 3v2 not to mention the enemy having this killing machine in their ranks, making it 10v2. Impossible for us to fight back not to mention surviving without revealing ourselves.
My hands tickled as I could feel him lending me his power, causing the shield my blade was with-holding to get bigger. Now two Holy powers attached to one. A linger of a memory popped to my mind, telling me what to do. A grin left me as I fired back: sending a white course of power at the S-rank creature's head. More importantly, at King Belial.
"Hu-ah!" As much as Chris had grown to me, I didn't know I'd start imitating him as something succeeded happened. The light came in contact with something, causing an explosion to happen of the contact. And the giant phenomenon of a Beast stopped firing at us, making low groaning noices as it was wondering above him. A sight I hope I was true of. It wasn't until the smoke faded. And revealed a very angry King of the Demons glaring down at us. "I think he didn't like that..."
You don't say.
Almost immediately my senses took over as I transformed, taking all the help and chances of surviving from all this. And it was much needed. Concidering how bad they want us dead this was a plan made last second, it would appear they noticed my escape and using that creature to know of my whereabouts. Accidentally giving away Daniel's existence. And since King Belial was here himself proved that he wanted to finish the job he started a long time ago. And it was slaying all Angels of existence. Too much driven by his desire to kill and control, giving away the length he was willing to go to reach his goals.
Abandoning his Kingdom to engange in this battle with us.
It was only a matter of time when the other groups would come and help us. But that would mean we would have to survive on our own until then. No matter how unfair the situation had turned out.
"Kill them." King Belial growled out, tapping the creature's head. Almost as a sign to fool us.
"Gladly." Aron laughed and used his high speed to gain his distance to us. Daniel and I saw it a mile away, I bumped my shield to him and Daniel swung forward. His spear embedded to Aron's shoulder. "Not so fast." A grin plastered his face.
"Surprise." A voice whispered in my ear, I dropped down and took my blade near me, kicking my foot back. A hand was about to grab it but I swung it past Camilla's head, glaring in her red eyes. I disarmed the shield and swung in her direction, the vampire Queen took a step back to draw her dagger. I groaned and hit my steel to hers, creating sparks of the contact. "Now I can do all the things I promised to do to you."
"I'd like to see you try." I spit back and forced my body forward, making her to lose balance and made my cut. Slicing her arm clean off.
I didn't give her time to regain as I turned around and slammed my wings to her, kicking her the hell away from me. No moment of breath given to me as Aron was about to reach Daniel's hand, I took Alchadar's dagger from my waist and swung two of my weapons forward. A cross sign embedded to Aron's chest as I made contact, Daniel kicking the bleeding hybrid away from us.
We stood there tall, each glaring the two assisting demonic creatures of King Belial's. In our luck they weren't related to him, giving us some hope in this hopeless battle. We could possibly defeat them together, a thought we shared as a nod left both of us to each other. A silent agreement to finish it once and for all. We could pull it off, making the situation a lot easier to finish King Belial and his new pet.
"Enough."
My eyes snapped as I felt it.
"Go!" I yelled and sliced with my blade a strong magic ball in half, noticing King Belial in the distance approaching us. All the while swinging his blade around, and pointing it at us. The S-Rank creature behind him shrieked loudly, a charging noice again heard. It was about to fire again. And it's target set on us. Daniel heed my words and sent to a fly, I right about following him.
Ground elements hadn't became our favorite place to attack, it was hard to move if someone was always on one side. In the air it felt more free and gave you more room to act, as in this case I had practiced one skill. I forced the Holy light gain me access to a bow and an arrow and stopped, feeling them resting in my hands. I took a sharp inhale and fired it quick, not giving the enemy chance to figure out my intentions.
I hit my mark. The S-Rank creature's other left eye. As the Holy arrow came in contact with the beast it roared out unpleasantly, sending the blue and destructible force of it's palate out towards the skies. It went as far as to the Moon if I recall correct, wiping out the dark clouds and showing us a blink of sunshine in the sky.
Yes!
"Not bad." Daniel's voice was heard above me as I saw him fire from his spear a sling of light towards the S-Rank creature, taking out both of his left eyes. A jealous look was sent on his way as I flapped my wings, shaking my head. Always had to be better. "I'm just better."
"Someone's arrogant." A sigh left me, it had worked. Camilla and Aron stared a little dumbfounded of us and our actual target, it would seem they were able to read our intentions after all. Concentrating on killing them was a good distraction to worry about the biggest problem in our hands. Killing this S-Rank creature. It was too powerful to be left to be last. Blinding it for now had to do before we could handle it more properly, meaning we didn't have these three everywhere trying to kill us.
"Fools." An amused snarl was heard. And the sound of shackles attaching to something.
I looked down, noticing my right ankle heavy suddenly a thousand times more. A black chain strapped to it. It had came from nowhere. The glance I shared to King Belial was enough to tell me it was his doings, the mad King's palm open until he crushed it an evil look on his face. A powerful shockwave was sent through my body, I could feel my brain hammering and my body consuming to the pain. The force so bad I could feel my heart beat in abnormal rhythm.
"What the-!?" I tried to fight against it, noticing my body failing me as I slowly was unable to fly. I had to get it off. Yet as I tried to touch it the contact sent a fierce back shot at me, burning my fingers. Daniel's groans and yells of pain meant he was in the same predicament. This was only to knock us out of the sky, out of our comfort zone. "No...!"
No matter how hard I tried to make my body work, it wasn't working. I came slamming down, left groaning in the ground. The shockwaves still continuing. Daniel was beside me, glaring at King Belial standing in front of us. My eyes followed as I could feel my body shaking and trembling, purely caused by the evil tricks he had. Such a simple and easy way to disarm his enemy.
"Bare witness to my deadly venom that wiped out the rest of your kind," King Belial continued to keep us in his tight leash, causing another shockwave through our bodies to not allow us any time to regain. It made it impossible to think of a way to get rid of his hold, I wasn't sure was it even possible. It was a tricky spell, the one the chains were attached couldn't get it off. It wasn't until my body sensed a deadly scent, my eyes snapping to see a dark ominous ball in his other grip. "As it shall do the honor now as well. The Satan's gift."
I refuse to die like this-!
King Belial threw the poison on us, it took almost all will power of mine to react. My hands flew up as I put a barrier on me and Daniel, shielding both of our bodies. The dark liquid immediately swallowed us and lingered on the other side of the shield, almost to force entry. I inhaled sharp and held my breath, the shockwaves going on my body almost making me lose focus. I couldn't. Our lives depended of it.
"Faith...!" Daniel groaned, agonizingly reaching for me. His had was slowly wrapped around mine as he boosted me again, easing my job. It didn't feel like it. His shockwaves became mine and my his, the contact was almost twice as bad as a painful yell erupted from both of us. "God-- help us."
"Your God has abandoned you. Accept your demise, it would certainly give you the freedom you so badly desire." King Belial stared at our struggling bodies, almost amused. It made me feel anger inside as I noticed his huge blade directed up. The S-rank creature behind him shrieked, building up another charge. My eyes widened as I could feel my skin burn of the shockwaves, Camilla and Aron walked up to our hidden figures below the shield and poison. "Or I will."
There is no way we can take this.
A hesitance and fear crept in my chest as I gritt my teeth, a yell to boost my confidence erupting from my chest. I couldn't die yet. Not yet. Not by him.
'Al! I need you so bad!'
"Sweet dreams you two." Aron raised his blade up, Camilla grinning as her dagger was below us. They were going to hit my shield. Not to mentio King Belial swinging his hand a couple of times, until he set his blade down. The S-rank creature to finish of what would be rest of our shield.
Daniel hesitated beside me, however it was long gone as he gave me more boost. The pain and numbness rushed over me as well when adrenaline pumped to my veins and consuming my body, another yell erupting from my throat and Daniel's. We put it our all when the creatured fired his shot at us, defiant to die. Not like this. Not now. Not ever.
The hero of a voice yelled loud, a lightning strike appearing from thin air.
A big figure appeared in front of us, making everyone know of his presence. It was a form I hadn't seen in a long time, almost unrecognizable to the eye. Yet as I noticed his head turn malicious to strike a firestrike blade at Camilla and Aron, knocking them out of their feet and explosion come of the contact I noticed familiar red eyes. And the person transformed on him.
"What-!?" King Belial roared and tried to struck Alchadar by his blade, causing my partner to clash his weapon to his and push back rapid- seconds time. He noticed the powerful blue power coming at us and forced King Belial back by hitting his blade to the ground- making Earth shaking impact and dark light to hit the King. It knocked him back a few feet. "No!"
"Al!" I cried out in worry as my partner stood tall and made our predicament clear, I was hella more worried of the power sent out his way behind him. Coming straight at him.
Alchadar took his blade and slammed it down at us.
To be more exact the shackles on our ankles and sucking the poison from the shield breaking to his weapon- his quick thinking our salvation. I couldn't even feel the pressure as Alchadar grabbed me and Daniel to his both sides and started running out of the way. The force melted away the ground as it came in contact, my eyes flew back to notice that it was a lot more deadlier this time. If it had hit the shield, it would've crumbled apart like glass and the poison would've taken our lives in seconds.
"Are you two okay?" Alchadar asked and slowly let us to our own feet, his fire armour looking as demonic as ever. It meant Armen was with him, Alchadar had transformed to use his Holy demonic weapon to save us. Concidering he was alone meant he was a lot faster than the others, persistent to get here on time.
"I'm glad to see you. We would've been goners." I said in true honesty as I crouched down, healing the bruiced ankle the shackles had left. It had burned my skin to the point tissue fluid was emerging. I wouldn't risk getting an infection. All the while my eyes lingered in King Belial looking like his vein would burst out of his head, and Camilla and Aron glaring our direction. The S-rank creature roaring in the distance. Making it of such huge size the only sighting around the area of burning woods and dirt.
The situation hasn't changed yet still...
"No kidding." Daniel got his ankle fixed as he eyed the enemies, noticing untold plan shared between them as King Belial rose his blade again. Starting to swing it and the sound of charging could be heard again. Not like the 5th time already. "What's the plan?"
"It's evident the plan has changed. We have to abandon the last part of it," Alchadar begun until Camilla and Aron ran forward, their weapons up and sending out huge fireballs in our direction. "And cease the moment here and now." A facemask covered his face as he charged forward unspeakably fast, knocking Camilla and Aron off his feet but at the same time continuing to run forward.
I widened my eyes the second I took out the fireballs with Daniel, noticing Alchadar go after his Dad.
Al...!
The sound of blades clashing together was heard until my attention was drawn to Aron standing in front of me, the time Alchadar bought for us lost in the blink of an eye. This creature had to go. And it made me eager as ever.
"I'll rip out your heart myself-!" I dodged back for his claws, the action raw and powerful. Was he meaning it concretic or what? He did it twice in a row but I stepped on right this time, swinging my blade at his back. He did the mistake of grabbing it and hissed of the contact, the Holy light left a clear marking on his hand. "Such raw power. I'll put it to good use, don't worry."
I understood his meaning, the only way he was this abnormal was because of the ability he could devour other kinds' hearts that had magical powers. Meaning he was able to wield their powers after their death.
I grimaced and dodged his two punches, leaping back and causing my wings to do it twice as fast, dropping a good kick to his chin. Never ceasing the moment as I flew down, bringing my blade up to hit his torso. He flinched and dodged, I barely grazed his heart and hit his lung. A dangerous scaly head came out of his body and swung at me, causing me to retreat back.
"You've had enough." I remarked, the animation unfolding before me ungodly like. From all around his body came a different part of someone he had devoured, meaning his front had pure steel on it, he had six legs all different sized and powers on it, not to mention the six hands on both his sides. The horns on his head brought out more of the gore and evil side. This was his full transformation? "I'll be sure to cast you back to Hell, you weirdo."
"So arrogant." Aron pointed, launching. I narrowed my eyes. "I'll show you the true power of the Underworld!"
It took almost everything in me to embrace to his countless attacks. Everything coming at the same time from up, left and right- and back. My blade did most of it as I was surrendered to take Alchadar's dagger as well, cutting the extra limps to make sure there wouldn't be more. However I missed one below my feet coming under the ground, a sharp claw embedded to my knee. I took a sharp inhale and cut it off, a hand coming.
"Try it!" I growled and cut his hand off, blood smearing on my face. I felt one of his legs kick my feet under me but my wings had my back, giving me a boost to hit my forehead hard to his. So much his nose bled. I flew up and grabbed a tight hold of his throat, flying up with all I had. Dragging his struggling body almost 30 feet in the air until I groaned as I let go, flying after his dropping body my blade up. "I dare you!"
"Oh, I dare." Aron turned around mid air and swung his blade in my direction, I barely knocked it off from hitting my face. I failed to notice the hands grabbing my wrists as he tried to knock me off, my wings answered as the spread wide open to stop the fall. We hung in the air. I groaned and twisted my blade, cutting his hands clean off. Then, a sudden blade emerged to his head. Sliding clean through. "What?"
Chris.
I gasped as the sudden figure jumped up from beside me in the air, his hands grasping my blade as he made me come down with him. The action almost made me question the Demon Slayer until I noticed my target- Aron's chest. And the Holy light.
"Now!" Ben's tentacle arms wrapped around Aron's struggling body as he came down to the ground with a loud thud, not allowing him to move. Aron trashed around as he noticed us coming, his dark eyes widening. I was going to hit it.
"Go!" Chris yelled beside my face, the action boosted me more as I flew harder. Hitting my blade straight through Aron's chest. The contact made the hybrid call out in agony and pain as he trashed around, sudden ominous and evil aura leaving his body. I widened my eyes as his body trembled below us hard, almost like we removed the possession out of his body.
"NO!" He yelled out to the sky, his hands grasping the blade but in vain.
I didn't budge as I took in ragged breaths, putting my hand to his forehead. A determined look on my face to put him out of his misery. "Purify this soul and put it to rest."
Almost agonizingly long his body trashed. Until it went limp. Right under my and Chris' body. He was dead. And God forbid me for being so grateful of such a thing.
Finally.
"Almost looked like you were having some difficulties, princess." Chris spoke out beside me, slowly standing up from the enemy's dead resting body. I pulled my hand back to my lap and looked at the shallow voids of Aron's eyes, certain of his demise. I had managed to put his soul to a rest.
"-- I'm glad to see you two as well... again." A small smile crept on my face as I turned to Chris and Ben, the duo wore the brave faces of something being done for.
"We're glad the big guy got here on time." Ben nodded in return, glancing over to Alchadar. I halted and found my footing, my eyes widening of the sight. Alchadar and King Belial going off in an epic battle. It was done by their blades, fast and hard strikes made towards each other. It was a battle of life and death. My brain was screaming of countless attacks and charges, Alchadar was really putting his all to this. "Even though the situation's still a little unsure. First of all, we need to deal with that--"
A loud shriek went off in the distance, the S-rank creature letting us know of it's presence again. I noticed Ben pointing at the thing which had remained on it's place for King Belial's commands-- until I noticed gunshots being fired.
"Eat this!"
I soon found the source as the gun men from group 8 were standing in the distance, their military weapons in use. I think I even saw a bazooka being used to fire at the thing, doing no such thing as damage as the creature snarled low and looked down. A humongous foot going to land on them.
"Otherwise someone's gonna get killed." Ben sighed, I gritt my teeth and flew forward. Fast. Those people wouldn't make it even if they tried. "We'll go help Daniel!"
"Thanks!"
I pushed to go faster as the leg was about to touch the ground, two people still about to be crushed. I yanked as hard as I could and grabbed the both males in my armpits, flying out of the humongous foot. It would appear my training pay off as I could easily carry the males twice my size, flying off to a good distance until I let them down.
"Good one, miss." The other one grunted with an alcohol burned voice, standing on his feet.
"Too close." I said to them, turning to look at the S-rank creature looking down at us with his one remaining eye. So much for a safe distance. It needs to be dealt with now before King Belial realizes to pull a dirty stunt again. "I'll draw it's attention elsewhere, can anyone locate where this thing's hearts are?"
"I can, but I need to do a long scan. About 5 minutes if I scan the whole creature." I turned my head to notice the blue haired girl standing there. A sorcerer. She pulled out a book and flipped open a page, the words and sentences flying around it as she picked up a spell. "Can you handle as much?"
"We'll give cover fire." The man I saved earlier cocked, resting his machine gun to his shoulder. It would seem this was a human, able to wield the deadly machines. I nodded grateful and shared a glance to Alchadar's direction, the battle so heated up I noticed King Belial pinned under him- but somehow managing to groan himself up.
Hang in there just a second, partner.
I glanced over to Daniel as well to see Ben and Chris helping him out, Camilla was putting up a pretty good fight. Her long claws and animalistic vampire form in full use. Yet I tore my gaze away to focus.
It has to be done with.
"I'll try my best." I nodded and flew up to the sky. I took my blade and groaned, sliding the steel of it to the S-rank creature's throat as I went by. The action left a open gapped wound resting on his skin, blue blood leaking out of it. "Over here!" I slammed my blade to my shoulder blade and flew to the creature's side, noticing it shriek loudly again and his one eye follow after me.
So much for planning!
I noticed as I flew by the S-rank creature's scaly back the way it curved, meaning it had turned. In nick of time I managed to fly up of an incoming tail that reached up to the skies, cutting the burning tip of it off. I took a moment in the air to watch it's missing limb drop to the ground with a loud thud, the fire dying immediately. Good, I could start chopping pieces of it. One theory tested out.
-- Light-!
"God," I barely leaped out of the way of an incoming palate shooting another destructible force from it's palate, and was confused to no end as it stopped. And another came to my retreated form. It can fire multiple ones!? "What!?"
I duck down to it's back and ran to the middle, noticing another charge. My eyes narrowed as I was eager to reach it.
Can it withstand it's own force?
The second I wondered that the creature made his shot, sending me to jump on right and slide down the skin. As I was about to reach the ground I opened my wings and pushed to go up, looking to the spot it had hit. To my horror there was only a small graze. Meaning the skin was as thick as ice. What was this thing made of if it can't even kill itself?
The spikes on its back suddenly flared to life, causing me to freeze. This was new. What now?
"-- Get back!"
My head flew to see Dagon in the distance limping to our direction, Praxina strapped under his arm. He was hurt real bad. And yet these two were trying to get here? Yet I nodded as I flew away from the creature, noticing blue shocks of power fire to life on the creature's skin. It hit it's missing tail to the ground hard and made almost everyone jump of the contact, the ground crumbled and was suddenly cracked. It made an Earthquake?
"Get back!" I called out to the gun men and the elves in the distance, noticing the ground breaking abnormally. It created three long cuts to the ground which broke apart, making a huge gorge in the middle of it. My eyes widened as I noticed Chris about to go down, to my relief Daniel managing to grab him and get him to safety. To my horror and relief Camilla laid dead on the ground.
"What's happening!?" Ben called out horrified, staring at the mother nature's doings eyes wide.
I took my blade and was about to slide the creature's head clean off. Even if it meant I would have to do so 100 times. Whatever was happening it made my skin crawl in return, they gorge of darkness a silent void where nothing happened.
'Remain vigilant. It has summoned the Earth's children.'
Alchadar said to the shared mindlink, it immediately made me look in his direction. My Demon partner was sitting on his one knee, the other remaining close to his chest. A deep wound cut to his shoulder. I froze as I saw King Belial turn ominous to the situation unfolding, an amused grin on his lips. Whatever it or Alchadar meant I didn't want to find out.
"Rise my armada!"
