Ch. 55 | The War begins
~ War is cruelty. There is no use trying to reform it. The crueler it is, the sooner it will be over. ~

"-- Alright, everyone listen up!"
The whispers and suspicious eye glances here and there between everyone was making the situation tense. The ultimate gatherings of different kinds and people near the Demon Kingdom's boarders made the situation even more on the edge. The people were eagerly waiting to strike, but hesitated with the people they were supposed to.
"Hey! Listen up!" Chris howled out, putting his hands around his mouth so his voice would echo a lot better. It did earn the wide group to quiet down, different heads and looks directed to the standing group on a pile of rock formations. The time was of the essence.
King Stuart nodded grateful, turning to the wide variety of all different races. A little vary since it was the first time for everything.
"Hello! And welcome! It's glad to know the world hasn't forgotten the promise made 101 years ago, because today is the day we'll fullfill it's true purpose!" King Stuart yelled out loud, earning quite a few cheers in return.
"Hell yes!"
"We'll bring the mad King down!"
"The hell we still waiting for!?"
The satisfied cheers only let them know everyone were here for their own behalf, driving their own agenda and reasons on this day. It was their time for revenge. Just as intended, so the same mistakes as from before wouldn't be mistaken twice.
"I spoke with the other Kings and the Chiefs of the towns, everyone is assigned their task and are aware of their positioning on the field?" King Stuart called out, bringing his arms to the motion to the people standing in the further back. It was quite far away, he only hoped everyone could hear. We were talking about almost 50 000 people on this one field, impossible to let anyone hear properly. A sight that would fall to the history books, as of this day they would make history.
No matter the consequences or the outcome.
"Everything's ready to put to use." The Giant's chief spoke from the right, looking down at the group standing on the rocks. His arms strongly crossed, showing off his true and undeniable aura of strenght.
"Same here." The Knight of the fallen kingdom called out, the group of people behind him nodded as well. Their task was to offer backup and the first group the advantage to push forward.
King Stuart saw each of the own kind's commanding officers nodding, satisfied of the replies given. Everyone were updated frequently and had given the information beforehand, so they could divide if necessary and join other forces to put themselves to use. A useful and needed tactic, since everyone's help was going to be needed. The Demon Kingdom loomed not only of the Devils inside it and the mad King, but as of guards and creatures guarding the damned place. This was all so well planned that almost nothing could surprise them. That is, the only problem would be cure chaos and in the middle of it something happening.
"-- Can werewolves join the cause at last second?"
The Alpha group's head turned to notice a tall man standing in the group's further right, behind him an odd looking group standing. Yet there was no denying what they were, concidering the aura and stench that radiated off them. A man in his late 30's stepped up, letting himself known as the Alpha by mere stance and authority alone. He was their leader, and here for reasons still unknown to the team.
"Have you gotten this information from where?" Alchadar asked, eyeing the man and his group. As much as all help was needed he still had to make sure there wouldn't be any last minute liars in their ranks. It was too much to handle, concidering what was already going on inside the castle. If it was all for nothing he would never forgive himself. This time, this descendant of Satan himself was going to make sure everything went as planned.
"Word spreads around. Some nice lads that had run into your group told us about it and your cause, telling you're looking for soldiers to fight. Let's just say we're here for the right reasons." The man spoke out, knowing all too well the two Demons before him could notice the lies. So he didn't even try to hide his own hidden agenda, the reasons were the same but their wasn't just the killing of King Belial. There was something else. "I'm Asla. This pack's Alpha, and I can assure you we'll put ourselves to use."
A strong and stern look was put out, it caused some whispers again in the ranks. It was because of the uncertaintyness, this late someone joined? The last second changes.
"... Very well." Alchadar nodded, a small lingering glance held in their direction. He exchanged a look with Dagon who nodded as well, not noticing any hidden agenda. Whatever their reasons they were willing to help, and were there in order to drive their agenda to use. And afterwards do what they must. "You join the first armada, and follow my lead." It was going to be of use to have them there, werewolves were popular of their speed and sharp teeth. Not to mention turning from a wolf in to a human form, offering useful tactics on the field. Alchadar had agreed. But yet decided to keep an eye on them by taking their group to the front.
"Yes, sir." Asla groaned, but nodded. It was of character for Alpha to not be used to calling anyone sir, it was in their DNA to know they're the superiority and usually never took orders from anyone else. However the circumstances were different, this wasn't his pack. And he had to go with it.
"Now, any more questions before we finish what was started a 101 years ago?" King Stuart put on a note that the matter was handled, turning to the rest of people. It was natural for him to take the leashes and speak out to his ranks, allowing Alchadar to put himself to other use such as eyeing anything suspicious in the ranks. None seemed to come up however, everyone seemed calm and ready.
A silence loomed in the air, everyone eager not to answer.
The desire to kill was far greater than that.
"Good. Now, everyone!" Mona took out a small saxophone, her voice yelling quite loud through it. The small fairy flew up so her presence was seen... barely. "I'm Mona and a Guardian fairy. So that everything went as smooth as possible on the field we've come up with a mind-link allowing all of you to communicate. It's easy and painless."
Mona looked to her right, two male fairies of her kind nodded as they flew up to her. They were twins by sheer looks alone. It was then when they joined their hands and shot a shockwave of small flying purple slingshots towards the group. The lines went through each person's head like a quick flash, connecting the dots to the back of the armada. Everyone looked surprised and touched their heads, a small tingling feeling in their brain.
"Whoa, I can hear you in my brain."
"This is sorcery..."
"Who the hell is looking at someone's ass?"
"Quite useful, I have to admit."
"It would seem it's working. Good. Now, the link should only be used if anything comes up, am I understood?" Mona called out, sharp and point. It was not meant to be used for any other purpose since it can cause confusion among the ranks, it was good she and her comrades were responsible for it. Hearing everything each of these people were wondering or thinking. Such an overwhelming ability, but their brain was meant to withstand such pure power.
"Yes ma'am!"
The cheers of the crowd in unison brought some smiles up, as Mona proudly cocked her hip and turned to King Stuart. Her duty as of now was fullfilled, now the only thing really was to get out there. And start their war for justice.
"Now the final preparations are complete! Brothers, sisters. Are you willing to stand with me and take down the unholy Ruler terrorizing this country!?" King Trustan called out, earning a wave of cheers and applauds. A hype speech, one that is highly used to pump up everyone's mind. "And are you willing to do what it takes to make it happen?"
"YES, SIR!"
"Good! As of this moment we march towards his Kingdom and take what is ours! We take our lives back!" King Stuart put his arm out to strenghten the forces, earning loud cheers and the clancking of weapons struck to the ground and against each other. Even if he wasn't the King to any of these people, they were willing to hear him out and listen to him. It made the King almost at peace as well, allowing him to complete the promise he made to two Angels long time ago. And he was going to make sure everything went as according to plan. "Let's go!"
The ground begun to rumble as the forces walked forward, so many people put to a same place made the ground shake. Not to mention the Giants beginning to walk forward with their group taking the lead, entering the Demon Kingdom's boarders. It was a powerful thing to hear, one a few wondered did the mad King hear it before they reached to his doorsteps. Then again King Stuart had given to each group a device which should hide their presences, allowing them the element of surprise.
It was only an hour walk to the Castle, and the groups were eager to gain the distance. Everyone marched in harmony, all disagreements put to aside for their common goal.
Alchadar watched the forces march in harmony, something familiar felt in the moment. He remembered the same thing happening a long time ago, everyone's minds and spirits becoming one. It was a pleasing sight, one he had hoped for a long time to happen. For everyone to live in peace and harmony. The amount of strenght in these forces was unmatched.
"Now, that's what I'm talking about." Chris remarked as he watched the groups in wonder, not figuring out how much they were really talking about until now. These people had came because of their agenda and the purpose, everyone wanted to take down Kin Belial. The Alpha Team was a little puzzled how had it all came to this.
"Alchadar."
The Demon turned around of the voice, noticing Daniel in the treelines hidden under a hoodie. His presence hidden for now. Alchadar and the others slid down the rocks, gaining the distance to him. It was evident they had to be part of sending the troopers to use, but Daniel had other matters in his hands for the time being. Such as meeting with someone who was promised to ensure the prisoner's safety in the Kingdom.
"Is it done?" Alchadar asked hesitant, eager to hear his answer. It was really the only thing he was wondering the entire time, ensuring his partner's safety.
"Zena said she'll get in the castle and informs me later where she is," Daniel removed his hoodie, allowing his white thick hair to shine bright. The Angel pulled up his wrist and his watch, showing a pinpoint on his map. The sight they had to Faith's whereabouts cut the moment she was engulfed in the Ark, her presence unknown and unresponsive. "However it'll take a while. It's a huge castle and she told me she'll do everything she can."
Alchadar nodded in understanding. For the time being it was still a blind jump to the unknown, Faith's intel inside the castle gave them some lead to where to search. But most likely she had been moved to somewhere else, making it impossible to pinpoint her location.
"She'd better find her." Praxina said anxious, tapping her thigh. The last moments of her friend still visible in her memory.
"Good thing it's Zena." Dagon grinned and slid his arm around Praxina's shoulders, trying to reassure the Elf princess. But she felt the exact opposite as she pushed him away, crossing her arms and glaring up at him. It was too much and too sudden.
Alchadar nodded in return. "Even if it still puzzles me how you know our sister," The Demon turned to Daniel his eyebrow raised amusingly, his arms crossed. "I agree with Dagon. She knows the castle and where to look. My only worry is that our Father picks up on it."
It was true. Daniel had mentioned of his trustee who could get Faith out of the place unnoticed, or as far as she could. With further questioning he had to surrender and admit it was Zena, Dagon's and Alchadar's little sister. Someone he had known for quite some time. And that they were close friends, Zena would meet him a few times a year since she was travelling but always brought something to him. Zena was his eyes and ears on the globe, telling him of everything.
"Let's hope he doesn't." Ben sighed deeply, understanding that it was their only hope. And the only hope of figuring out where their lost comrade was before they put the Kingdom down from it's structure.
"I'll inform you straight away." Daniel put his watch away and slid his hoodie back on, his eyes traveling to Alchadar's and then the others. A small encouraging grin directed to them. "Stop worrying, she's safe. More importantly you should be going already. And put out the King's life."
"... Fine." Praxina sighed, knowing he was right. She offered her hand forward and smiled. "You promise to take him out if we fail?"
Daniel grinned in return, grabbing her tiny hand and shaking it. "You have my word. Or if I don't I'm pretty sure someone more hot-headed than me will." He chuckled, immediately earning a laugh in return. Praxina shook her head in disbelief and let go, knowing they were talking of the fool locked in an ice glass box. Once she got out, hell would be on the loose. "Show them hell." Daniel turned to Alchadar, his hand extended out.
Alchadar looked at his palm, wondering. And grabbing it. "Wouldn't do it any other way." The Demon offered him a small smile, admitting to himself that he was a good comrade. And even if he hadn't realized it a friend only in such short period of time of them knowing. Alchadar was glad to be able to shake his hand then and there, putting aside their differences.
"We'll see you around, pretty boy." Armen grinned and licked his lips, nodding to Daniel as a goodbye. It was then when the Beast turned around and carried Bella away with him, the small girl waving innocently after him. Mona nodded in return and flew after them. Daniel was a little dumbfounded of the remark but nodded in return, watching team Alpha ready to launch.
"Time to start hurting someone." Chris pumped his fists together, following after Armen and Bella. Their disappearing figures after the marching group of an army, only a sand of smoke screen left after them.
"Let's go." Dagon jogged after them, Praxina and Ben high on his heels. It would seem the idea of a plan was finally dawning on them, and it was time to put it to use. An early morning was rising behind the horizon, giving them the advantage to know Demons' would be at their weakest. It would mean Dagon and Alchadar as well, but they had grown to withstand it during their travels.
"Tell me the moment you know where they are." Alchadar said, stopping when he was about to leave. Daniel only smiled a little and shook his head, knowing it was hard for this Demon to put it his all if he didn't know where Faith was. Such occurence he had realized, that these two really cared for each other.
"You'll be the first to know." Daniel saluted to him, nodding. Alchadar nodded back, trusting his word fully. It was honest and respectful, his help really everything to him.
At that the Demon jogged after the armada, leaving Daniel hidden in the treelines. He was assigned to stay back from the others, and wait until his sign was given to emerge. This was the plan set up and he didn't dare to intervene, knowing the outcome of the war could depend on it.
Zena...

The echo of footsteps could be heard walking down the narrow tunnels of the underworld.
The drops of water dripping down the sewer's was a familiar sight as they wondered how long it had been since they were down here, playing as kids. A long time, for they couldn't remember.
The long strives of long and strong legs pushed forward closer to the destination, to the door leading to the main castle. Quite good thinking remembering the hatch leading outside the Kingdom, a good entry to the cursed place they knew so well.
A faint noice made the person halt and stop, her senses tingling. An intruder. By hearing the footsteps in the distance she hid behind a canister rest on the tunnel, knowing by the wideness and slow rhythm it was a guard. Not related. Her black eyes propped up to look a familiar Giant of hell walk past her tunnel, looking to it through his one eye. A cyclob. Her eyes narrowed as the eye made sure no one was there, almost sensing something odd. The person was certain it shouldn't be able to tell her whereabouts, she had hidden herself well in a cloak. No one should even sense her scent.
"Urgh." The Cyclob groaned, continuing his way down the main tunnel. Ignoring the tunnel the stranger was in. A grin formed on her facials as she pushed herself out of her hiding spot, running and tiptoing to get to the hall. She glanced at the Cyclob glancing another tunnel up ahead, making sure it was the only guard down here.
Same old, same old.
The person only wondered had her Father changed at all, shaking her head in disbelief. Old habits die hard, she guessed.
The door was evident on her left side, as she made one last glance towards the cyclob until running towards it. Her steps were as calm as cats, her body tiny and frail and made to be an expert at snooping and being all detective. It was a skill taught to her a long time ago, and it was put to a use while traveling and earning money for strangers. Being a quiet agent really paid off.
The person grabbed the handle and creaked the door open just enough so she could slid through, pushing it quietly close again. Not a sound leaving it. Her head turned proud to notice she was in the Castle, near the kitchen and the resting area. The place begun to seem familiar again while being back, a proud smile mesmerized on her face.
She noticed a person walk in the kitchen, eyeing it she came to the conclusion it was the Chef. An old butt of a zombie.
The person stood up and closed her eyes, activating a stronger cloak on. It was useful to be able to get as far as she could, and knowing these mere things weren't able to pick up her presence was enough good. The tall girl walked forward and slid through an open window in to the kitchen, walking past the chef and his workers. They never paid attention. Didn't even notice her there.
Still got it.
She slipped through a just opened door by a spider-person servant, entering a familiar huge hallway. The castle's main hallway. It was still as big as she remembered, feeling frustrated of where she could find this missing person. She pulled up her wrist and the watch attached to it, pulling out the last pinpoint of the person's whereabouts. Her Father's war corridoor. Great.
She took a few steps forward to understand her positioning, remembering where to go from there.
"-- Still playing hide and seek, Zena?"
A voice and presence she hadn't realized until it was too late appeared, and made her halt. All too familiar voice as she sighed, knowing it was almost impossible to sense him until it was too late. His big brother was excellent at cloaking his presence. And at that sensing anyone else's.
"Caim." The woman greeted, pulling off her cloak of invisibility. There was no use since she had been spotted. Her black eyes flew to notice her brother standing further down the hallway, his arms grasped behind his back. He was one of the only ones staying by their Father's side for reasons unknown, loyal to him. And hadn't aged one bit since last time she saw him. "Sharp as ever, big brother."
Yet it was a relief to see him again, Caim was the oldest of them all. Always took care of everyone. Especially his siblings.
"What're you doing snooping around the castle? Why not use the front door?" Caim questioned, slowly approaching his little sister as he put on a note there wasn't any danger. Zena was trying to act like there wasn't, one of her hidden abilities as well. Making her the only one who could lie and get away with it.
"Ah, well. I like to be dramatic, you know me." Zena chuckled a little as well she pulled her sleeve down, hiding her watch. All the while she crossed her arms proud on her chest, hugging her tiny figure. "Came through the tunnels. Still same guard as eons ago. Old habits die hard, I guess." She sighed, noticing how Caim stopped right in front of her. A blood scent hit her nostrils immediately as she scrunched her nose, recognizing it as his blood. "You're bleeding."
Caim met her black eyes and slowly nodded, pulling out his right shoulder and showing a bandage wrapped around the source of the smell. It wasn't healing properly, there was an odd odor to it. One she recognized came from Daniel as well. It dawned to her then and there why was her mission inside this castles important.
She's the same as him...
"It's nothing. A little stratch." Caim acted as if it was nothing, the Demon arrogance shining through. Zena raised her eyebrow and tried to intimidate more out of him, but failed to realize testosterone wins once again. "Why're you here?"
"To see Papa after a long time." Zena brushed her shoulders, trying to act it out. It was almost easy, concidering how much practice she had gotten through all lying. "Where is he anyway?"
Caim eyed her reasoning, hesitant. He had always been that way, never trusting what his gut told him to. Always doubting. Yet Zena knew she could outsmart him and offered an innocent smile, knowing she could play her act out perfect. Helping out a little sister, now would you?
"... He's a little busy at the moment of a sudden occurence happening before. I'll let him know you're waiting for him." Caim answered finally, not finding her bullshit. It made her almost arrogant as hell but she pushed it aside, curious of his statement. What could he possibly be doing?
Shouldn't he be retiring already?
Good thing someone's coming here to put him out of his misery.
"Aw, I don't want to wait." Zena whined on her spot, grabbing her brother's hand. She jumped on her spot and acted like a little brat, knowing it was a stunt that would 80% sure grant her wishes. She knew it had to be her target, what she was searching. And once she didn't seem like a threat she could pull this one out. "Take me to him, please?" She grinned wide, pleading.
"No." Caim argued, trying to pull his hand away.
"Don't be like that. I know you missed me." Zena tried to divert the conversation elsewhere as she snuck to his side and wrapped her arms around his torso, reluctantly bringing him in to a hug. "Please? I've come a long way? Pretty please?"
A sigh of annoy could be heard immediately, Caim stopping to fight against his sister's grasp. Zena knew this was nothing new, she had always been like this. Clingy and needy. And knew for a fact she would most of the time get her way, part of the process being younger ones and females at that. Their Father almost always spoiled them to no end. And it granted her the freedom to do almost anything she pleases.
"... Fine. But-" Caim begun, stopping the squealing younger Demon in his grasp of joy. Zena shot him a questioning look. "You stay quiet."
"Yes! Thank you!" Zena smiled as she hugged him tighter, her horns almost reached to his chin and cut the skin. A habit the Demons had realized to be careful for, as Caim looked elsewhere and groaned in annoy. Although the reuniting with his younger siblings brought him joy, some popped up once in a while asking the same. It was nothing new. Zena smiled a little dark against his side, knowing he had fell for it.
"Enough already." Caim commanded and unattached his leech of a sister off him, gaining a step distance to her. Zena grinned in amusement, grabbing her hands behind her back as she swung there. At the same time making sure her blades were still attached to her back. "This way..." Caim groaned and begun to walk to the right, almost reluctant.
Zena squealed and walked after him, noticing they were going down near their Father's headquarters. She gave a small glance to the watch on her hand, noticing it was in the opposite direction of where they were headed. Odd, she thought.
"So," Zena slightly trailed off as she noticed the hallway leading down to their old rooms, remembering her bunk bed. And their siblings' sleeping arrangements. Such pure chaos. "How have things been around here? Anything dangerous or the same old?"
Zena remembered the time she left her Father was trying to claim the further lands in South, by war and destruction. She however wanted nothing to do with that and was granted the permission to go out traveling and see the world. She didn't see eye to eye to her Dad almost of anything, but appreciated him more than her siblings perhaps. And she was well aware of what was going to happen in a matter of hours, but had accepted it. Their father was too reluctant to step aside from the throne, to end his ruling. He had gone too far. Too deep.
"Same old, I guess." Caim thought about it, stopping in front of a red door. It made Zena question it's existence, she remembered it being there but it was one of those rooms they were forbidden to enter. For their own safety. "Remember-!"
"Quiet, yes." Zena grinned sheepishly, but frowned as soon as Caim turned to open the door. What was their Dad doing in there? What was this room? It gives me the creeps...
The door was pushed open.
And an incoming jaw was snapped in their direction.
Caim was fast to react to it as he pulled out a shard from his pocket, showing it forward. The underling monster whined of the sight and retreated back to the darkness of the room, shielding itself from the sight. Zena stared in shock of him and the shard... and of the room of horrors that could be heard all kinds of sounds.
"Now you know why we weren't allowed to enter this one." Caim grinned as he noticed his sister's shocked face, figuring one might be shown. He offered his hand to which Zena slowly grabbed, Caim pulling him in the room. Into the darkness. "Quiet."
Zena pulled the door slowly close behind her and noticed the white shard fragment in Caim's grasp glow out strong. And it came in contact with another creature who launched at them, covering in the wall as Caim brought the shard closer to it's face. So many questions went through Zena's mind as she noticed the dark creatures looming in the room around them, ready to kill. Were they meant to be quiet because of this? What was this shard?
So they wouldn't attack?
The whole way to the other side was the same as some of the creatures tried their luck, Caim full and prepared to the situation as he forced them to keep their distance. This was an occurence he had used to. Zena saw that much.
What is this place?
It took a while but the two Demon siblings came by a wooden door, Zena launching forward to open it. Caim protectively shielding her with the shard. The long scaly creatures eyed them and growled, wanting to kill. Caim shot a murderous warning look back.
Zena managed to break the paddlock and pushed the door open, almost hurrying to the other side. It was a lot lighter candles lit everywhere- a lot safer. She turned around to notice Caim enter the room as well and shut the door close enough fast so one three-headed Dragon didn't eat his face clean off. And his eyes looked teasing to Zena's, the Demon female's mouth gaped wide open.
"What the hell was that? A secret dungeon of doom!?" Zena questioned, not in her wildest dreams imagining such a room existed in this castle. So many obstacles and death looming in there. Wherever they were was a place their Dad wanted to keep hidden from anyone!
"Relax. They're guarding the passage way." Caim chuckled and put a reassuring hand on her shoulder, all the while passing her by. Only then she put on a note this was another corridoor again, leading further down somewhere. "This way."
"I assume nothing's going to eat me this time?" Zena asked sarcastic and hurried after him, examining the brick walls surrounding them, not recognizing the place the slightest. Something was really hidden down there.
"I can't promise that much." Caim teased with a grin, to which Zena hit his shoulder back. It was a payback, to which the male Demon chuckled to. It didn't hurt the slightest. At the end of the corridoor could be seen light coming- a bright one. "Father, I'm bringing someone very inpatient with me."
Zena's eyes widened as they adjusted to the lighting in the room. And the noice of something heavy hit on a hard surface. The grunts of heavy trying evident.
It was a huge room, decorated by weapons belonging to one race only. The Angels. There were everything from swords to blades, arrows to bombs. Not to mention the bloody pile of clothes lying risen to the walls, the arch Angels holy outfit. And in the middle of this mysterious dungeon was a huge cross-shaped ice rock, and inside it a person. And their Father tightly stood on top of it, banging down a holy weapon of a hammer to it.
King Belial stopped for a second, looking in their direction a little annoyed. A small drop of sweat trickled down his face as he was taking in ragged breaths, clearly exhausted of his tries to destroy the rock.
"Zena. What a nice surprise." King Belial was surprisingly pleased to notice one of his youngest daughters present, nodding to her direction.
"Papa." Zena greeted back, a little unsure. Her black eyes almost frozen to the face inside the glass of ice, frozen in time and place. The person didn't move or speak, pretty much didn't look like she was alive. "What is... this?" She took careful steps forward, trying to understand was this the person she was looking for. The person of interest that Daniel had asked her for.
"Ah, this?" King Belial looked down and brought one more hard slam to the rock, causing the Demon to flinch. It did no damage to the surface however. "A little project of mine. The last living Angel." King Belial slid down and turned to the person resting inside the glass crystal, his ominous eyes glared to hers. Yet the person behind it didn't really return it. "Hiding under this odd material that can't seem to be destroyed..."
Zena slowly walked to stand beside her Father, now having a lot closer look. A beautiful face, young girl. Her eyes tightly shut in a tight frown, as if her final moments were anxious. Her arms were covered to a cross on her chest as she looked like floating inside the ice prison, the blood trickled down her thigh evident. She was hurt before she turned to this.
"... Whoa." Zena agreed, touching the surface. It was cold thick ice crystal. She rounded the mountain of a rock, examining it's size. Quite hard to carry out, but not impossible. This had to be the person the Alpha Team wanted to find in here, to make sure of her whereabouts. However, taking her out would prove out to be difficult. "Quite bad guarding measurements you have to get here, Papa. Almost had me scared half to death."
King Belial laughed, tossing the holy weapon of a hammer away from his arms. It flew to a pile of other weapons he had most likely used to break the ice, not granting him the wish he needed.
"A precation if anything. Besides, they're underlings from the underworld. No match to us." King Belial said proud, crossing his arms as he eyed his offspring round the rock once. Zena put on a note there was no way to break this ice and get her out. That is, not a way as of now since her Father hadn't figured it out yet.
"You tried the rigor mortis' saliva?" Zena hesitantly asked, knowing it had to be done already. She wasn't intending to kill this girl, hell she was here to get her out of there. However she needed some intel but at the same time not raise suspicion of her intentions.
"No effect." Caim shook his head, walking over to a sudden lever which to pull. He exchanged a firm look to Zena who understood to take her distance, looking up to notice all kinds of tubes on top of the ice. Attached to the brick wall on top. Caim pulled the lever and thick green substance came down, coming in contact with the ice. It glow hard and was immune to the poison, it trickled down as fast as it came in contact. Zena was amazed for a second. "Almost everything has been tried."
"Not yet." King Belial disagreed, glaring the Angel hidden from the world in the ice. Zena hesitantly walked beside her Father, eyeing the figure resting inside. Did she really earn all this? Hell, she was her father's new project. How could she possibly get her out of here? "If the power of the Underworld won't get this thing out, we'll move to Earth elements next. That is, testing out the theory can it withstand lava."
Zena looked up, an evil grin spread on her Father's face. The thought made her a little anxious as she looked down again, this poor girl was going to be burned alive if he succeeded. No matter what she was. The kind didn't matter as she loved the idea of everyone getting along, the environment she grew up in not supporting that. It was glad her Mother did.
"Interesting..." Zena managed to rasp out, trying to seem intrigued of his choice of living. Or the priorities in his life. Cruel still, no way around it.
"I can leave it for a little later, I've got all the time in the world." King Belial suddenly groaned, displeased. But his arm snuck around Zena as he pulled his daughter with him, away from her target. "I want to know what you've been doing lately. It's been a long time since I've last seen you, Zena. Tell me everything." The Demon King roared a laugh as he lead them both to the exit of the room, towards the unholy creatures again.
Zena cracked a small smile, her mind racing.
"Oh, I've been everywhere--" The blabbermouth act was on, to ensure she wouldn't get caught. Yet her eyes glanced back at the Angel residing in her frozen state, hesitance in her eyes.
'Daniel, we've got a little problem...'
