THE DRAGON PIT ,
It had been a silly joke to the boys. To constantly throw Viserra's things out of her reach, or places she refused to enter.

Most of the time, Viserra would refuse to go after it, they had never done it with things she cared too much about. Until now.

She new that it was stupid, to care about a toy as much as she did, but the toy dragon had been a gift from her mom on her 5th name day. It was mainly to make up for the fact that Viserra had been without a dragon at the time, but she always thought of it as a tie between her and her mother, there to remind her that the woman did in fact love and care for her.

When Aegon had first snatched the toy from her grasp, her heart skipped. She knew what he was gonna do, but she prayed that he wouldn't throw it in the direction she knew he would.

When she watched him toss it down the dark slope into the dragon dens she remembered cursing at him.

Her brothers had both tried convincing her that it was just some stupid toy that someone could easily remake for her, but she knew that—to her—it wasn't.

She ran down the slope without a second thought. Her feet slamming against the stone causing a loud echo.

The further down she got, the darker it became. It wasn't until it was at the point that she could barely see that she reached the bottom.

She froze. Now realizing how impossible it was gonna be to search for a tiny dragon toy in the darkness.

Despite the low chance Viserra fell to her knees and began to feel around on the ground for the toy.

She had crawled around for more then ten minutes, traveling further down the hall—further into the darkness—by the time she found the wooden dragon figurine.

She almost laughed because of how happy she was when she felt the familiar material in her hands, until she felt the empty spot where the left wing was supposed to be.

"No" Viserra grumbled, clutching the now broken toy in her hand. She felt the tears brimming in her eyes as a sob escaped her lips.

She knew it was silly to cry over, but the toy truly meant so much to her.

And of course there was the fear in the back of her mind that her mother would be mad at her too. She had seen the way Queen Alicent reacted to the times when Aegon accidentally broke his things and Viserra did not want to get hit for something she did not do.

She hugged the toy to her chest as she sobbed.

She had been so trapped into her own sadness that she didn't even hear the quiet scrapping noise until the object was pushed into her knee.

Confused, the girl paused. She ran her arm across her eyes, wiping all the tears, before she reached down for the object.

Her entire body froze when she realized what she was now holding.

It was the dragon's wing.

But it had not been there moments ago.

Viserra looked around the dark room, but was unable to see anything that could have placed it there.

It wasn't until then that she realized how far she had strayed from the entrance. The high slope back to her brothers was now out of her sight.

In that moment, she was beyond terrified.

"Hello" her voice cracked. She hoped someone would reply so she knew she wasn't alone, but all she got was silence. "Hello" she called out again as she stood up. Once again only receiving silence.

Her mind ran in circles. If nobody was down here with her, then who gave her the wing.

And then she heard the breathing.

It wasn't very noticeable, hence why she hadn't noticed it earlier. She could feel the warm wind brushing against her body, but she had no idea which direction it was coming from.

She didn't run. She was frozen. Scared that when she chose to run it would be in the wrong direction and she would be dragon food.

Then she heard the movement.

The sliding of scales on stone.

This time it was loud.

She knew she was shaking.

She was now clutching the pieces to her toy so tight that she was sure her hands were now bleeding.

Then she saw it.

Maybe ten feet in front of her were two faint blue eyes. She would have assumed they were a reflection of hers—only those ones were almost the size of her head.

Viserra knew the distance between the two had already been closed, she just couldn't see it. Those ten feet of darkness had a dragon mouth hidden in them.

She did not know which dragon she was standing in front of, so she didn't know how big it was—or rather how close it truly was.

The wind had gotten hotter, and stronger.

She didn't know what to do.

She had never been so close to a dragon that wasn't her mother's, father's, or brother's.

Hesitantly, she reached her hand out. Making sure to do it slowly so that she didn't startle the dragon in front of her and cause it to eat her.

By the time her arm was fully extended her palm was placed against the dragons nose.

It did not move.

It did not burn her.

And it did not eat her.

Those were all good signs to her.

AUTHOR TALKS!!
Since I don't actually know high Valyrian so anything in high Valyrian will be in italics. The only words that would be writing in high Valyrian are Dracarys and her dragons name.
