Wow. I can't believe it. Wattpad is starting to sell out.

I'm deeply disappointed.

Today I opened up the app as usual. But there was something different. In the upper left hand corner was a blue box that said "go premium"

Me being me clicked on it to see what that was all about. And this is what came up:

I guess I should've seen this coming. Wattpad is starting to become more about money than its readers.

And yesssss I know that no one is forcing me to purchase premium. Yes yes I know that. But it doesn't change the fact that this is stupid and unnecessary. I understand they're a company and need to make money but come on? That price is ridiculous! Who in their right mind would pay $60 a year to get rid of ads when the ads are usually short and quick and you can skip them! And then $6 a month???? That doesn't seem like a lot but that shit starts to add up quick!

And alsoooooo wtf? Now we have to be premium to get first access to new features? Doesn't seem like a big deal right? Well think of it like this: first they start off with small baby stuff like this, paying for no ads and to get first access to new updates. Soon though they'll be asking us to pay just to even get updates at all and to read certain stories! Trust me, I've seen this happen. The minute apps start asking for money to get certain features they'll start upping the stakes. That's how apps take your money folks! And because you love the app so much you pay and soon you're broke. There were some apps that I used to have for completely free and now you have to pay for even the most basic and simplest features.

Smh at wattpad. There are some changes on this app that I've been seeing that I'm not happy about, but I won't speak on it in this particular rant. I just feel like wattpad is shifting, and not in a good direction. Don't get me wrong I love this app to pieces, I mean I've had it since they pretty much first started and some stories weren't as famous as they are  now buuuuut...fix ya self wattpad. Just fix ya self.
