There's isn't a single story on this app that doesn't have at least ONE cliche.

Go ahead, try to name one.

And let's be honest. Sometimes we like books with cliches because well... We just do.

But that doesn't change the fact that cliches can be super annoying and so over played. It's like...where's the diversity man?

I'm going to talk about the cliches I see the most on wattpad.

CLICHES I SEE THE MOST ON THIS APP:

*Blonde hair, blue eyes.

-OMG I STG THIS IS THE MOST FUCKEN ANNOYING THING EVER LIKE AHHHHHH PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEEEEEEE ANY OTHER COMBO BUT THIS. ITS LIKE, I CANT RELATE TO THAT AT ALL.

*bad boy falls for the nerdy good girl

-Don't get me wrong I love me a good bad boy story but damnit can't he just fall for someone other than the nerdy goody two shoes girl? And the girl always is super innocent and sweet at first then later we find out she has this hidden badass part of her. Like wtf you just totally switched up on me. Also why does the guy have to be 'bad'? Why can't he just be oh idk, A REGULAR GUY?!

*love triangles

-sometimes this shit is just fucken annoying, point blank period. Why does someone always have to get in the freaking way? Why can't the problems come from somewhere else like maybe the actual relationship? Why does there have to be someone trying to break them up? That ish be pissing me off sooooo bad. Has anyway read the cheerleader and the bad boy? If you have you know who Nate is right? OMG I WAS THIS CLOSE👌 TO POPPING OFF. Let me just calm down.

*blonde bitch and/or blonde bimbo

-can we have ONE blonde character who ISN'T the female MC to not be a bitch or a dumbass? THANK YOU #savetheblondes

-not to be racist but why are the characters always white? Let's get some different races man! Let's have someone be Japanese or Australian. Let's have someone be black or from Africa. LETS GET SOME LATINOS! Like hello there are over a hundred different races, choose something other than white. And if they're going to be white can they be mixed with something else cause nowadays that how it actually is.

Ok I can't really bullet point this but don't you hate it when the main character in a story has a really awesome parent that cooks them breakfast before school and instead of just sitting down to actually EAT IT they grab like a granola bar or something and dash out? LIKE HELLO YOU HAVE A FUCKEN FIVE STAR CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST SITTING IN FRONT OF YOU AND YOU GRAB A GRANOLA BAR! REALLY BISH REALLY!!!! WHAT THE ACTUAL FU-

*female MC is an idiot

-why is the female MC always stupid AF? The answer will literally be right in front of them and they still choose wrong! Can we get someone smart please? They always make the STUPIDEST DECISIONS IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND AND IT PISSES US READERS OFF. You wanna know who is the stupidest female MC in the history of female MC'S? Tessa from after. IM SORRY AFTER FANS BUT I LITERALLY CANT WITH HER. I gotta keep it real with y'all.

*billionaires

Wanna know the second most played out male character cliche? The billionaire. A rich asshole who thinks the way to a girls heart is through expensive items. WRONG! The way to a girls heart is with food! Haha jk but seriously this man (they're usually grown men) is an egotistical, narcissist, asshole cunt face. But surprise surprise he has a soft side😑

I can go on and on. They are so many cliches for so many genres but this is what I generally see the most.
