"SIR, it's time for the housewarming party." Jehan's secretary entered the office.

Jehan checked the time on his watch and realized Mia Agatha was out for 4 hours. He grabbed his phone from the desk and almost instantly chuckled at the messages he saw.

"I was worried for nothing." He said, after seeing notifications of transactions from a credit card.

He rang a call, "Boss?" and a man answered.

"Where are you now?" Jehan asked.

"We're in the apartment, Boss." The man answered.

Jehan furrowed his brows, "Did I not tell you not to bring her back in that apartment? Some gangs know where she lives."

"W-Well we tried to stop her. But she said she just needed to do something. She said it'll take 15 minutes. We're currently waiting outside, keeping a guard, Boss." The man assured.

He sighed, "Tell her to come home to me after she's done. I gotta go to the housewarming first and probably be home late too. Keep an eye on her. If I see a scratch on my property, start digging your own grave."

The man gulped, "Understood, Boss."

ON THE other hand, Mia changed into a gray suit. She faced herself in the mirror and tied her hair up. She grabbed a bob cut wig and wore it. She also wore reading glasses and put on a red lipstick.

She wore a few accessories and her black shoes. She stood by the mirror and took a good glance at herself.

"Now let's get conning." She winked at her reflection and grabbed her bag. She went outside and confused Jehan's men waiting for her. But recognized her after seconds and continued to follow her.

"Miss Agatha, Boss said you have to go home now and don't wait for him cause he'll be late tonight." The man spoke and continued following behind her towards the parking lot.

Mia smiled, "Don't worry. I'll go meet him right now.

"Excuse me?" The man thought he misheard.

"I said I'm on my way to meet him now." She repeats.

The man was confused, "I don't recommend that. He has events to attend to."

"Well, I guess I just miss him a lot so I don't care." She said and shrugged her shoulders. "Hey, drive this car." She suddenly threw Jehan's car keys on one of his men.

"Driving to the housewarming party using that car is gonna catch some attention..." She thought.

She suddenly smiled, "So I bought a new one." She said as she opened the newly bought black Mercedes Benz SUV, common type, of course.

She started driving towards the said party and arrived early. She parked by the side of the street and stepped out of the vehicle. She immediately saw the reporters and the media crowding in front of the gate of the big looking manor.

Mia grabbed an ID from the backseat and her briefcase bag. She took out a camera and rushed to the crowd of reporters.

"Did it start yet?" She asked one of the reporters.

The male reporter sighed, "We've been here for 2 hours. Only minor guests arrived yet."

"Oh, thank God. I thought I missed it. The traffic sucks." She lied.

"Yeah... Are you a reporter too?" He asked.

Mia shook her head, "A journalist. I write articles."

The reporter nodded, "Ahh! Which agency?"

Mia showed her ID, "SeoulScoop." She lied.

"Hmm? Haven't heard of it. Is it new?" The reported tilted his head.

Mia smiled, "Yeah. It was actually closed for years. Just re-opened now and that's probably why it's not too popular. My agency is just a small one too so..."

The reported smiled back, "Oh, I see. I'm from KTVC! That man over there is my cameraman." He pointed someone from the crowd.

"Nice." She said.

"Do you think the Mateo family will let us in?" The reporter asked Mia.

"Well, they announced the party in public so I guess we're allowed to at least interview someone or can interact just a little." Mia shrugged her shoulders.

The reporter gave a hopeful smile, "You're right. If that happens I'll definitely grab the chance to talk to Jio Mateo."

"What are you gonna talk about?" Mia asked.

"What else? Of course, his wedding last month and the house. His wife too and his plans for the company after marrying a conglomerate of an alliance company. They're incredibly impactful and beneficial to Korea's business and capital growth. Don't you agree on that too, Miss Journalist?" The reporter said.

Mia smiled, "Of course. I knew that. I just thought there was something else. Like the issue going around on the internet."

"Oh, the slush fund issue? I mean it's not new. MAT Corporation has been going through that same issue since as far as I can remember. Asking them about it will only make them kick you out even more. The public wants to know what happens to their money. That's why we have to show them the good things. Don't scratch the surface, Miss Journalist. Rich people are scary." The reporter said.

"But if we don't bring it up, the public will keep talking about it and the more exposed MAT corporation is, the more we gain as people who work behind cameras. Don't you think so?" She asked him.

The reporter shrugged, "You may be right. But I really don't wanna risk it. If you wanna do it, don't mention my name."

Mia chuckled, "Sure."

"They're here!"

"Mr. Mateo!"

The reporters started crowding again when a convoy of cars entered the gate. A limousine stopped in front of them. The window slowly rolled down and there he was, President Jio Mateo with his wife beside him.

Camera started flashing at the limo and bunch of questions flooded the area.

"I'll let the security know to let you inside the manor. You can observe the party so let's save the questions for later, yes?" Jio Mateo handled it with a smile.

"Of course! We'd be honored! Thank you, Mr. Mateo." The reporters said.

Mia watched from a distance and rolled her eyes, "What a fraud... not like I'm one to talk."

"Please, enjoy the party." Jio said before closing his window and entering the manor.

A few minutes passed and they were escorted by securities inside the venue. But before stepping foot past the gate, they showed their reporter ID's one by one and was listed down in a piece of paper. Security rules, probably.

Mia entered the manor, finally. He looked around and haven't spotted Jehan Mateo yet. Just as she was thinking about him, her phone rang. She took out of her pocket to check who it was.

She smirked, "Speak of the devil."

"I thought you'd forgotten me." She answered.

Jehan chuckled, "Sorry. I had to pick up Natalie. Where are you? The guards told me you were on your way to meet me."

Mia paused when she saw Jehan Mateo with Nathalie clinging on his arms while entering the manor. Guards surrounded the guests as Jehan was busy on his phone call.

Mia smirked, "Look around you." She said, almost in a whisper.

She watched as Jehan's gaze turned to the crowd. As soon as they looked eyes, they smiled and ended the call. Natalie noticed him staring at someone and saw an unfamiliar female reporter.

Natalie nudged him, "Someone you know?"

Jehan sighed and pulled his arm from her grasp, "I'm gonna drink." And left her fuming in anger.

The party started as Jio finally appeared. With the wife beside her wearing an elegant royal blue dress and a purse. Jehan greeted his sister in law with a toast and smiled at each other.

"Thank you for coming all the way to this event. Apologies if preparations weren't grand. I only wished to enjoy the party with those people close to my heart and show them this home that gladly welcomes them." Jio said, earning a round of applause from the guests.

"Of course, I will be forever grateful for my beautiful wife here. She's the one who prepared all of this. She put a lot of effort so I'd really appreciate it if you enjoy the party to your hearts content." He continued.

Jio turned to the reporters and smiled, "I'll take three questions before we begin the party. I wouldn't want disappoint my people so let's hear what you want to say."

Mia immediately raised her hand as well as the other reporters. Jehan watched from a distance as he chuckled at her determination.

"Yes?" Jio pointed at the KTVC reporter.

"President Mateo, you announced the wedding 7 months ago and finally wedded last month. The people wants to know your plans for the increasing stocks of the company and also, the child matters." The reporter said.

Jio smiled and so is his wife after hearing the last sentence, "Indeed, the wedding was a big help for the company and the relationship with XX company is going strong. We have discussed projects together and have consulted the government with that as well. You will see the results soon. So please look forward to it. And about the child issue..." He looked at his wife before continuing.

"We're currently in that process. We're doing our best if that's what you want to hear. But we're still focusing on the career, securing the company is top priority. Plus, we have a lot of time to figure it out too. Right, honey?" Jio wraps his hands around his wife's shoulders.

The wife faked a smile, that only Mia can see.

"Next question?" He said.

Mia raised her hand and looked intently at Jio to catch his attention. Jio noticed her but it looks like he couldn't recognize who she is yet.

"You, the girl in gray. What's your question?" Jio finally picked her.

Mia looked down at her paper, pretending to read a company manuscript. When she looked up, Jio's eyes slightly widened upon recognizing her.

"You are known as the president of MAT who was once the director of business and financial affairs, Mr. Mateo. This issue has been going around. The slush fund. Is it true? We've also tracked the stocks of MAT this week and has gone down unusually. Was the slush fund... stolen?" She asked.

Jehan sips his drink from a distance. The guests started gossiping and some where looking worried as if they knew what she was talking about.

Jio Mateo stared at her for a second before answering, "You are?"

"Miss Lisa Min" she lied.

"Well, Miss Min. To answer your question. No, we do not keep a slush fund. The reason the stats are going down is because of the new project that we are still working on. We are preparing to take the numbers back." Jio answered.

"Specifically, the one that Mr. Jehan's Mateo's company, has faced a drastic change in stocks. And MAT headquarters seem to have an involvement since it says in you last interview that you are preparing for a new project right? And possibly have used the Jehan Company to cover up a slight interval in the project?" She asked more.

"That's absurd. It's not the first for Jehan Company to face a problem like this. This slush fund issue has been going around for years. We do not have the reason to keep and steal money for a project that we have been planning for years. Plus Jehan Company is under MAT corporation. This situation is also a concern of mine. That's all the questions I can answer, please have a good day." And he walked out of the party almost immediately.

The reporters called for him but to no avail.
