Two days later.
"I wonder how big I would have been with a boy."
"Huh?"
"Carrying a boy. I wonder how it would have looked on me. The pregnancy was already so different than when I was pregnant with Delia."
"Was it? That's crazy.."
"Yeah.."
"Fiona?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you wanna try for another baby?"
"Try?"
"Yeah.. as in have sex with the intention of creating a little person."
Fiona chuckles. "Thanks for asking but.. no." She sighs.
"Oh.."
"I think what was meant to be.. happened. I don't want to go through that again."
"Okay. I understand. That's fine." Joe smiles softly.
"Do you want to try?"
"No I-I'm okay! I'm perfect with the way things are now!"
"You sure?"
"Yeah, baby! I promise."
"Okay.. Joe? Can I ask you something?"
"Of course."
"Have you ever.. did you ever have any children?"
Joe sighs.
"Have you?!" Fiona slightly widens her eyes.
"I had a daughter.."
"What?! Joe, how come you never told me?!"
"I wasn't a great father, Fiona. I was ashamed of that part of my life."
"So just a daughter?"
"And a son."
"What?!"
"But I never met him! I left my family when my daughter was just two years old."
"You abandoned them?"
"Yes."
"Wow.."
"I have regretted it ever since.. the day I realized what a horrible mistake I had made.. I got killed and.. well you know the rest."
"Wow.. do you remember her name?"
Joe smiles as if he were looking straight into his little girl's eyes.
"Harris. She has gorgeous strawberry blonde curls.. rosey cheeks, and deep chocolate brown eyes. I can even still hear her voice." Joe smiles through his tears.
"I hate myself for leaving her. When we found out you were pregnant, I promised myself, and my children that I would be a good father to their new sibling.."
Fiona felt so bad for Joe. He seemed so upset. She sat beside him, and placed her hand on his back for support.
"I just wish there were a way I could see them. Just to tell them I'm sorry for what I have done."
"Maybe.. maybe there is." Fiona sits up and smiles softly.
"What?" Joe turns to her.
"Maybe I can help you see them!"
"Honey, they've been gone a long time, I'm sure!" Joe chuckles.
Fiona smacks the back of Joe's head. "And I'm the goddamn Supreme, mother fucker! Did you forget about that?"
"Actually Yeah, sometimes I do."
Fiona laughs and softly pecks his lips.
"Let momma figure this one out, baby."
