The moment when both sides were ready, the snakes slowly begin to disappear before them causing the red haired child to widen her eyes, sweating nervously as she immediately warn the older girl ❝Hinami! Up! You need to get out of here NOW!❞

❝H-Huh? Why?❞ Hinami stuttered, seemingly caught off guard.

❝Ask me later, just do what I say for now!❞ Ayumu screamed desperately.

The light blue haired girl look worried for a second but she decided to push her thoughts on being concerned about the child's behaviors away as she clapped her hands together ❝Vermilion Bird!❞

Summoning a red bird, resembling a golden pheasant with a five-colored plumage, spreading its wings wide as the bird took flight to the sky, carrying the girls away from the ground as soon as the bird appeared, the snakes from before begin to reveal themselves in the area where Hinami once stood.

Her amethyst purple eyes widen in shocked as she stared down at the snakes below them, where she originally stood...

Oh, It was a sneaky little trick.

❝What you just witnessed is one of his traps❞ The child started, seeing the expression of the older girl ❝It's how he got his opponents by poisoning them with his snakes to weakened them❞

❝How did you know all that?❞ Hinami glance over to the red haired girl ❝I don't remember seeing him in any books of ours back in our previous life and I'm pretty sure he wasn't in the original manga as well...❞

❝Well...that's because he was a character who only appeared once in my uncompleted fanfiction book❞ Ayumu said slowly, holding onto her friend for dear life as they were still in the air to avoid the snakes from poisoning them ❝He is the man who killed my family for his own satisfying revenge...❞

❝Huh? Then how is he still here?! I thought he was never seen again after that!❞ Hinami panicked as she question her best friend who took form of a mere child.

The red haired turn her gaze away from her, feeling ashamed of herself ❝I...might have done something to change that and now he is here...ahahaha but at least my family is still alive and well?❞

Hinami stared at her in disbelief ❝...Miu, you're an idiot❞

❝I know...❞

❝You didn't think it through first?!❞

❝I'm known by the internet to have a monkey's brain for a reason, Sechan!❞

❝I get that but seriously?! How are you still in university with that mindset?❞

❝I think I'm a genius and stupid at the same time?❞

Hinami facepalmed, sighing as the red haired girl begin to smile innocently as if she haven't cause any problems to begin with...

While the girls were having their conversation, Cobra was looking up at the bird who was flying right above him and snakes. He tch'ed, annoyed at the fact that his little snakes couldn't reach them ❝She manage to avoid my trap❞

He turn to glance over to see the girls, his grey eyes turn sharp as he glared at them, white knuckles from clenching his fist too hard, and gritted teeth from effort to remain silent. He tried to stay calm as he think of a plan to make his opponent to drop from above the bird and take the child under his grip before they escape from here.

He had to think fast and be quick about it, the grey haired man smirked, seemingly got a new plan to lure his opponent out into a trap. Cobra glance up at the bird, shouting ❝Nice try. Did that little brat told you about one of my traps? Was it because of her moonstone eye, I wonder?❞

That seems to gain the older girl's attention as she stopped arguing with the little girl and when he saw that, he couldn't hide the smirk on his face as at the corner of his eyes, he could see the terror expression of the little girl's face as she turn pale. It's look like he just hit the jackpot, she haven't told her own allies about the eye, it's seems like he got the upper hands here.

❝Oh? Seems like she haven't told you about it?❞ Cobra asked, leaning against the tree nearby to make it seem he wasn't going to pull a surprise attack on them ❝That brat's right eye...is the rare ocular inherited jujutsu of the Mochizuki clan, isn't it?❞

❝Don't listen to him! He is lying-❞ Ayumu was cut off briefly before she could say anything more.

❝But isn't it true? That your beloved grandfather killed his own brother for power? That were the rumors say, right?❞ Cobra cut in, grinning seems to be enjoying the situation he created ❝You seen his eyes, right? They're the same as your right eye and of course, your useless father but you and your old man are the only one who possess both the inherited jujutsu techniques❞

❝...What are you on about?❞ Hinami question, keeping her guard up.

Cobra smirked ❝Glad you ask because that brat you're protecting...is not human❞ He pretend to be sad as he continues smoothly ❝After all...that brat's grandfather killed a member of their clan for her❞

❝...T-That isn't true! You're lying!❞ Ayumu screamed, feeling emotional ❝Grandpa would never do such a thing! He love everyone, there is no way he would take a life for his own gains!❞

❝And you never question why your father don't have any relatives? Never question why you were born with disgusting eyes of yours?❞

❝Shut up...!❞

❝Why do you think you were a freak to those little bullies of yours? Those eyes of yours would give anyone the creeps just looking at them❞

❝H-How do y-you know about t-that?!❞

❝I have my ways of doing things, brat. I know everything about you and your little family of criminals-❞

❝I don't want to hear that from you!❞

❝Believe it or not, brat! Your beloved grandfather murdered his own members for the sake of gaining the moonstone eyes but it's seems his plan backfired with how disgusting your eyes are-❞

❝Shut up! Shut up!❞ Ayumu covered her ears, not wanting to hear more what the man have to say ❝My eyes aren't disgusting because he said they...are pretty...there is no way that is a lie, right?❞

❝Ayumu...❞ Hinami noticed how quiet the child become but that mood was ruined the moment she caught what left the man's mouth...

❝Poisonous Explosion❞

The snakes that were gathering below them suddenly explode and what comes out of their bodies was a poisonous smoke, spreading around the ground the below as the purplish colored smoke rise, making it away to the sky where the bird was.

Ayumu snapped out of it, worrying as she immediately turn to warn the older girl ❝Hinami, cover your mouth and nose! if you get a sniff of that...smoke... It will...❞ But it was too late, the little girl collapse, seemingly the poison had reached her.

❝Hey! Ayumu!!?❞ Hinami shouted, clenching her fist as she covered her mouth and nose with her unused hand. She turn to glance over where the man was but among the thick smoke, she couldn't see him.

Her amethyst eyes turn sharp, thinking of a plan to turn the situation of the battle to her advantage. Then, her eyes wide as she glance over to the divine creature before her, seems to have an idea, she command the divine bird ❝Vermilion Bird, fire!❞

Its wings begin to glow, flames spreading through its wings as the bird open its mouth and soon, fireballs fall from the sky heading towards the purplish smoke, giving some light among the thick smoke.

Cobra covered half of his face with his hand putting pressure on his mask, coughing due to the flames surrounded him, not allowing him a path to escape from the hellfire ❝Damn that girl! I can't do anything with this heat!❞

❝And what about it?❞

Cobra choked, feeling a wrestling hold in which his head is locked between the crook of a person's elbow and the side of their body; a headlock ❝H-How the hell?!❞

❝K.O!❞

And soon, he was knockout before he could say anything back.

Somewhere in Tokyo,

❝And so it begins❞ A man in a black suit started, standing in front of a crystal-clear window at the top of the building ❝We, the star religious group don't have the power to fight but we have plenty of money. I assure you of that❞

The man turn around, smiling as he continues ❝How about it, Zen'in? How's a little star plasma vessel assassination sound to you?❞

❝I don't go by Zen'in anymore❞ The man with a sharp scar on the right side of his mouth, just at the edge of his lips ❝I got married and took my wife's name❞

The man with the scar turned to glance over the man in the suit ❝I go by Fushiguro now❞ With that being said, he grinned as he continues ❝Sounds good. I accept your offer❞

❝Sorry! I said I'm sorry!❞ Kokun screamed, desperately as he was fighting against a cursed spirit with big lips as the spirit was trying to kiss him, whispering ❝Kiss me...❞

❝I'll withdrawal from the mission! I'll quit being a curse user too!❞ The man continues to beg for his life ❝Q as well, of course! That's right! I'll go back to the countryside and grow rice!❞

❝C'mon, let's smooch...a kiss right here...❞ The cursed spirit said as the man keep on pushing it away from him.

Geto who was sitting comfortably on the sofa, completely ignored the man as he was checking his phone. In front of him were the girl he saved and her guardian, unconscious as they sleep on the sofa together. He raise a hand to his ear, mocking the man ❝Hm?❞

❝I know you can hear me!❞ Kokun screamed.

❝A curse user as a rice farmer? As if...❞ Geto said, judging the man which seems to pissed him off ❝See?! You can hear me!❞

Kokun had enough of dealing with the situation so he give up on fighting against the cursed spirit and focused his anger only on the black haired male in front of him ❝What can brats like you do?!❞ He pointed his finger at the younger male ❝We have Vayer! Q's strongest soldier! You're allー❞

❝Hey❞ Geto cut him off, raising his phone to the man and asked ❝Is this Vayer?❞

❝Huh?❞ Kokun widen his eyes at the picture of a young white haired teen doing a peace sign with a happy expression on his face as he wrap his arm around a beautiful girl with a nervous expression, sweatdropped and behind him was a man who got beaten up ❝Yeah, That's Vayer...❞

He couldn't believe his eyes to see the strongest soldier in his group was defeated by a kid! His only hope to get out of his situation was...

❝Cobra! I don't see him in the picture❞ The man smirked, feeling victory was on his side as he joyfully continues ❝He isn't strong as Vayer but that man is unstoppable! There is no way brats like you will defeated him that easilyー❞

❝Oh, is this Cobra you're so fondly speaking of?❞ Geto didn't give him the chance to finish his sentence as he shove the phone to the man once again.

On the phone was a picture of the same teenagers but this time, the white haired teen have the camera facing down, smiling like a child as the girl with the light blue hair seems to be caught off guard, seemingly to be scolding him as she was holding a little kid who seems to wake up from their sleep and behind them was a man being covered by scratches as he was being tied up by chains.

A little ding! noise was heard, notifying them that another message arrived as a text message appeared below the image.

Hinami: I apologize for the picture, Gojo-senpai want to show you how strong I was for beating this man who claimed to be Cobra. I don't think I was that strong...

Kokun's hope was crushed yet again.

⁀➷ oh my god, I finally did it! I hope the fight scene wasn't so boring for you guys! I was struggling with that scene for more than a week! It's harder to describe a fight scene in words, you know? Hinami seems cool, isn't she? 👀✨
