Hunter plopped Jacota on the island in the middle of the kitchen, watching him sit on his hind legs and look around with bright eyes.
"Where's mum and dad?" Hunter asked his granddad who pointed to the garden. Margo and Anthony were sitting down at the picnic table with Scott, deep in a discussion.
"They are talking now that Anthony has calmed down." Alfred reached out and ruffled Jacota's ears. "Are you eating breakfast like that?"
Jacota shook his head, and his ears flopped.
"Can you put me on the floor please?" he asked Hunter.
His mate picked him up, placed him on the cold tiles, and watched how he changed into his human, or Godly form. Hunter couldn't decide how he should address him.
Jacota grew very self-conscious, but Hunter carried down a t-shirt for him with a grin.
"I dare you to bring a storm and make it rain."
"No," Jacota scoffed and eyed the toast.
"Why? It'll be funny." Hunter looked out of the window to see Scott watching him with a raised eyebrow. "...or not. How did he hear that?"
"That man is incredibly wise, even without those powers," Alfred said, buttering some toast and smothering it in peanut butter, just how Jacota liked it. "I may not have a gift like Flora, but it doesn't take a gift to see his intelligence."
"True," Hunter said, wrapping his arms around Jacota and resting his chin on his shoulder. His comfort was everything a teenage wolf in heat needed.
Jacota loosened Hunter's arms when he squeezed too tightly.
"You're struggling, aren't you?" he thought.
"No."
Jacota turned his head. He could feel Hunter's desperation to let loose with his affection.
"After breakfast- we-we can kiss for a while?" he thought with fidgeting hands.
Hunter stood up straight, his heart fluttering from Jacota's timid nature.
"I would like that."
The boys sat with goofy smiles as Jacota inhaled his breakfast, occasionally slapping Hunter's hand away until Alfred gave him some of his own.
"What are we doing today?" Jacota asked, often glancing at his father through the glass.
"finalising my pack. Did you talk to Piper yesterday?"
"Yeah. She's nice."
"I'm glad you like her. I know she'll make a good Delta wolf, maybe even a great one."
Jacota admired how Hunter can look past the negativity, and move on with stronger determination. He wished he could go through life like that and maybe one day, he will.
"You've finished your breakfast I see," Hunter said with a winsome twinkle in his eyes. He took Jacota's hand, softly squeezing his fingers and led him through the house and up the stairs. When they entered the bedroom, Hunter turned and shut the door, pushing his mates back against the wood.
Jacota stayed still while Hunter reached up and placed his hands on the sides of his face, moving his head close enough to feel his breath.
"Can I kiss you?" Hunter asked. Asking permission to kiss wasn't needed anymore, but permission to kiss with passion was. He wanted to ease Jacota into the lifestyle of having a boyfriend.
The God nodded, and Hunter closed the gap between their lips, delicately moving his thumbs against his cheeks.
Jacota slowly placed his hands on Hunter's hips, and their bodies rested together. Hunter wrapped his arms around Jacota's shoulders and kissed him deeper, tasting him, feeding his affection, loving him a little more.
Jacota's head was pushed against the door as he tried to keep up, feeling the satisfaction from his mate.
The cravings Hunter felt were mellowing, but yearning for more as he bit Jacota's bottom lip and he jumped, not expecting the sting. Hunter pulled back, tensing his jaw and squeezing his eyes shut.
"I can't," he breathed, "I can't just kiss you. I want more." He pushed his face into Jacota's shoulder, soaking up his scent and trying to calm down.
Jacota lifted a hand and stroked it through Hunter's hair, rubbing his neck.
"It's okay, I-"
"It'll pass," Hunter whispered, more to himself. "It'll pass." He clutched Jacota's t-shirt, wishing for the week to be over and heat to leave for another year until he heard the lock on the door click. Slowly, he looked up into eyes which mirrored his, packed with tenderness.
"You didn't ask if I'm okay with going further," Jacota said, his voice now low. Carefully, he flipped Hunter around, pushing his back against the wood and leaning their foreheads together.
Hunter was so surprised, he forgot where he was, what day it was, what year it was, and only focussed on Jacota's fingers as they locked against his waist.
"I'm in the mood." Jacota watched a speechless Hunter, wondering if he would change into his wolf and howl with happiness. Instead, Hunter regained his dominance by flipping Jacota around and pushing his back against the wood once more.
"That's all I needed to hear."
They kissed again with Hunter's affection bursting and pouring through his actions. He was strong enough to lift Jacota up who wrapped his legs around his waist and his arms around his neck. It was a bit of a struggle as Jacota was as heavy as him, if not heavier, but Hunter stumbled over to the bed and dropped him on it, climbing on top of him without separating their lips.
"Are you sure?" Hunter breathed.
"Yes," Jacota replied, wondering if Hunter's desire had affected his decision subconsciously, but all he could think about was kissing.
"Well," Hunter breathed in between nibbling his skin and holding back a growl, "let's make this educational." He pulled at Jacota's shorts while running a hand up his thigh. "I'll teach you how to pleasure me," he whispered, and Jacota shivered.
The God wasn't sure how to respond to that with anything other than a very devoted make-out session. Hunter took that as acceptance and pulled his t-shirt up and over his head.

"Friends again?" Scott said sheepishly after a lengthy discussion with Margo and Anthony. He told them everything he said to his boys, including everything William had asked.
"I suppose," Anthony said, watching him through narrowed eyes. "As much as I hate that you lied to us, I finally understand, and I can't deny the fact that you're pretty cool now."
Scott laughed along with Margo.
"What he means to say is that he will secretly idolise you and tell everyone he knows that the previous God of lightning is living in his home, along with angels, demons, and the current God of lightning," Margo said, rubbing her husband's arm.
"You can't make that stuff up," Anthony smiled. "Honestly though, if you lie to us about something this big again, you can kiss my trust goodbye."
Scott nodded with a stern frown. "Of course, your trust means a lot to me."
Anthony stood up and patted his shoulder.
"Come on; I need a beer." He turned to his wife. "Want one M?"
"I want three."
Anthony winked at her and followed Scott into the house to where Flora, Alfred, Sam, and William sat together at the table, all leaning over the Enchiridion.
"I don't know why I never noticed this before," William said to his dad who walked up behind him and ruffled his hair. "The handwriting in here matches yours."
"Well, your granddad and I had the same writing. He did contribute to parts of the book."
William looked back to the parchment paper in awe.
"How long did it take for you to write it?" he asked as Sam sat back, looking at the human and his father, seeing their similarities. It was true that William looked more like his mother than his father, but they both shared the same facial expressions, the same round hooded eyes, the same perfectly shaped nose and finely chiselled jaw, while Jacota's face was a little more chubby like his mother. However, Jacota resembled a miniature Scott and with Sam's logic; it made sense that he was the God and not William.
Flora nudged Sam when he was getting lost in the sweet dimple next to Will's bottom lip. She did so just in time as Will looked up and Sam diverted his gaze, lightly blushing.

Hunter kissed the back of Jacota's shoulder as they stood together in a hot shower. The mirrors in the bathroom fogged and the steam filled the room.
Jacota turned his head, catching Hunter's nose with his lips. After such intimacy, he felt much calmer and closer to his mate.
Hunter took the sponge from his grip and rubbed it against his back, feeling fulfilled for the first time in a few days. Jacota closed his eyes, and Hunter smiled peacefully. Looking for a pack had momentarily slipped his mind. Heat was a powerful thing, and even the strongest of wolves fell weak in its grip.
"Did Margo check out Phoenix's family?" Jacota asked and rubbed his mate's back in return.
"I'm not sure, but I really want a Gamma wolf."
"It will be useful to have a bigger pack for the war."
Hunter turned and nipped Jacota's sides, making him squirm.
"I guess. I just don't think I can handle more than the minimum amount of wolves. We're in a small country with a small territory, what's the need for a million wolves?" he smiled, dunking his mates head under the water.
"The makes sense," Jacota said and shoved him away.
"Anyway, let's not think about the war just yet, let's think about how much I taught you in today's very educational lesson."
Jacota pursed his lips and turned away, muttering about how embarrassing he was.
Hunter could only gleam with satisfaction, thinking over the events they shared moments ago. He was proud of Jay and how far he has grown regarding his confidence. The werewolf took great pride in helping him find his inner strengths, battling the extreme anxiety that once smothered the God until he could barely cope.
"Want some ice cream?" he asked before Jay could read his thoughts. He turned off the knobs until the water stopped flowing and Jacota smiled with a raised brow.
"Why do you even bother asking?" he sighed, reaching for the towel, craving something cold and sweet on such a warm summers day.
