Sunday is a perfect day to choose a new path in life. And with that thought in mind, I am embracing the change and going out with my new friends.

I get ready in a black and white striped t-shirt, navy blue and red plaid long-sleeved shirt, black jeans paired with a silver bracelet.

Taking a blue shoulder chain bag, I made my way downstairs.

"Hello," I greet my parents with a smile.

"Hello, angel, going out?"

"Yup, dad. I am going out with my new friends in a cafe which is just 5 min walk from here."

"You want me to drop you there?"

"No, Dad. It is just five minutes away. Plus, I have not been walking much these days so."

"Ok great. Be back before 9."

"Yup."

"Kiara, be careful, ok?" I smile at my Mumma's protectiveness.

"No worries Mumma. I will be careful."

"You had your phone with you?"

"Yes, Dad."

"Ok. If you forgot your way, then call your friends or me. And angel, tell them to come to our home someday."

I nod my head at Dad and kiss their cheeks before making my way outside.

I open google map and add the address for direction.

Following the direction, I proceed towards the Cafe.

The neighbourhood has a slight hustle-bustle as it is 5 of the evening.

Toddlers are playing while some aunts are sitting outside their houses.

The late afternoon sky has started to turn golden from the blue but still the sun making the atmosphere hot.

Surprisingly, I reach there in just 3 minutes.

A park is there beside it. Studying the park, I know I am going to come here a lot. Plus, the way from home to here is so easy.

Feeling the heat, I quickly move inside the air-conditioned Cafe.

I look around and found Jay and Aditya sitting opposite each other at one of the window booths.

"Hello, amigos," I greet them when I reach there.

"Hello," They both smile at me.

Jay gets out to let me sit near the window. I give him a cheeky smile at that, and he returns it with a small smile while taking his seat.

"Misha, Sara and Aarav have not reached yet?" I ask them.

"Nope, they are on their way," Aditya states.

"Oh."

We three talked for a while. Aditya decides to call the others to ask about their whereabouts.

Jay turns towards me, "So how did you get here?"

"Walking. It is just about a three-minute walk from home to here."

"Oh! Great. It is about two minutes from mine."

"Oh. But when we came to your home yesterday, it takes about 7-8 minutes to get there."

His eyebrows scrunch together when he thinks about it, and then his eyes light up as if he has solved a big mystery, "You would have come from the main road."

"Oh."

Aditiya soon joins us, and we three engage in the conversation.

"Who do you think will win Today's match? Australia or England?" Jay asks Aditya, referring to the World Cup match that is taking place.

"I think Australia," he answers.

"No, England has more benefit than Australia as their two players are injured," Jay states.

"Plus, the crowd support will play an important role, and as England are playing in their homeland, it will be in their benefit," I blurt out.

They both look at me with a shocked expression.

"Hey! Don't look at me like that. I am a girl and doesn't mean I am not interested in cricket."

"You don't seem like one. But it is great. Finally, I can brag about the drop catches to someone other than Jay."

Jay scowl at that which made us laugh.

"Whatever," Jay waves his hand.

After that, we three just talked about cricket and news for a few minutes. Soon, the other three came.

"Hello," Misha waves at us three, Aarav and Sara following suit.

Aditya gets up to let Misha and Sara inside.

And surprisingly, Jay slide beside me and let Aarav sit at the front.

All the other expect me, look at Jay like he has grown two heads.

Jay asks, "What? Why you all looking at me like that?"

All of them shakes their heads and goes back to the conversation.

Jay shrugs and looks at me, "You coming to the school tomorrow?"

"Yup. What about you?"

"Yup."

Remembering my father's word, I try to gain their attention, "Hey guys."

"Yes, Kia,"

"Can you guys come to my home in sometime this week for hang out? This way, my parents can meet you too."

Aditya: "Yes, why not."

Misha: "Yeah, I also want to see your home."

Sara: "Me too."

Jay: "We can come on Wednesday."

Aarav: "I will come on only one condition. I get to eat two pizzas."

We all laugh at Aarav's condition but agree nonetheless.

"Ok then, it is final. We will come at you home on Wednesday," Misha speaks.

"Hello, guys, what can I get you?" A girl came to take our order.

We all ordered some burgers and pizza with fries.

"Ok. Your order will be here in a few minutes," the girl smiles at us and goes to the kitchen.

"From tomorrow, studies will start properly in School. I am so not ready for that," Misha speaks, reminding us the same.

We all groan at that.

"Oh, come on Misha, at least don't talk about that now. Have some respect for Sunday," Aarva states, clearly very much affectionate about Sunday.

We all laugh at his comment and continue the conversation.

Soon the girl from earlier brought our orders.

"Ahh! It smells so delicious," Misha said, rubbing her hand.

"I know, right. Food is my first love," Aarav replies still not taking his eyes off the pizza.

We all roll our eyes at their antics and starts eating.

I have ordered pizza, but now, I am regretting it. The burger looks so delicious.

"Want to share?" Jay asks me.

I shrug and smile at him.

He takes three slices of pizza from my plate.

And I take the half burger from his.

Soon, the girl brings our fries which cause chaos.

Because,

Roses are Red. Violets are blue.
When it comes to fries, there's no me and you.
