Lou Ellen

"Not a dress. A toga. And I have to wear a toga, just like everyone else." Nico responded and stepped back a little, revealing the entire toga-dressed Senate.

Lou Ellen muttered something that sounded like, "Sure looks like a dress."

Then, addressing them all, "Give me a second. I have to grab a few things."

Lou Ellen disappeared from sight, and clanks of glass bottles could be heard.

A minute later she came back into sight, arms full of multicolored vials and dragging a new black cauldron.

She hummed as she dumped vial after vial into the cauldron, and saying things like, "A sprinkle of gorgons blood, some powdered unicorn horn, a dried hydra's tounge, a pinch of nightlock..."

Reyna was pretty sure she didn't want to know how the Hecate cabin got these items.

Then Lou Ellen picked up a vial of gloopy, glowing green gunk.

Immediately the Senate tensed.

Lou Ellen rolled her eyes.

"Oh, stop it. It's not going to explode yet, but you might want to cover your ears." She warned.

Then she yelled, "Greek fire in the hole!" and tossed the vial of Greek fire into the cauldron and slammed the heavy lid down on top of it.

As it exploded, the Iris Message momentarily blurred out of view.

When it cleared, Lou Ellen didn't look happy. Her purple eyes were distant and cloudy.

"What's wrong with her? Did the spell go wrong?" Dakota inquired.

"I don't know." Nico said softly.

Suddenly Lou Ellen snapped back to the present.

"The snow isn't natural. It was caused by the goddess Khione. Something's off about it, though." Lou Ellen said mysteriously.

"Khione? And what do do you mean, something's off?" Reyna asked.

Lou Ellen stumbled.

"I-I don't know. We can't spare any campers right now, though. It's all on the Romans for now. Meanwhile, I've got to go take a nap. Magic like that takes a lot outta me, ya know?" Lou Ellen said with a yawn. Then she swiped a hand and the message dissolved.

The Senate was silent as Nico took his seat.

Then, Dakota spoke.

"So, a quest needs to be issued."

Immediately one of the centrons from the First Chorhort objected.

"Praetor, a quest must be given by a god--"

"And by a god a quest shall be given." A voice echoed.
