Each household prepares a feast this evening, giving thanks to Mars for protecting the harvest. Friends, family, and neighbours are asked to join with them at a table decorated with purple sea asters. The Temple of Mars and Board of Guardians provide thanksgiving dinners for the poor and lonely.
