Marvel: The Avengers; Part 3

Spiderwoman, Tony, and Steve make it back to the jet with Loki, along with Thor. Now back at the helicarrier, Loki was in cuffs, and he is being escorted to a cell by a dozen SHIELD agents. As they pass by the lab, Bruce stops working on the scepter for a moment to look out the window, and he sees Loki smiling at him.

Now, Loki is in the cell, free from the cuffs, and Fury walks up to a control panel.

"In case it's unclear. You try to escape. You so as much as scratch that glass," says Fury as he presses a button. It opened a hatch underneath the cell and Loki peered down, as the loud sounds of wind was in the room.

"Thirty thousand feet, straight down in a steel trap. You get how that works?" Fury closes the hatch and points to Loki, "Ant," and points to the panel, "Boot."

Loki chuckles and smirks, "It's an impressive cage. Not built, I think, for me."

"Built for something a lot stronger than you," says Fury.

"Oh, I've heard," says Loki as he looks into the camera. Everyone else was watching the security feed.

"A mindless beast. Makes play he's still a man. How desperate are you, that you call upon such lost creatures to defend you?" taunts Loki.

"Desperate creature? He should see himself," comments Neith as she stood by Spiderwoman, remaining unseen by the other people, it took all of Gabriella's willpower to not laugh.

Fury spoke, "How desperate am I? You threaten my world with war. You steal a force you can't hope to control. You talk about peace, and you kill cause it's fun. You have made me very desperate. You might not be glad that you did."

Loki makes another taunt, "Ooh. It burns you to come so close. To have the Tesseract, to have power, unlimited power. And for what? A warm light for all mankind to share, and then to be reminded what real power is."

Fury smiles and jokes, "Well, you let me know if Real Power wants a magazine or something."

Fury walks off leaving Loki in his glass cell. Loki looks back at the camera, smirking.

Back at the briefing room

Everyone was stunned in silence, no one was saying a single word. Even Spiderwoman could not think of a good joke to lighten the mood, even just a little bit.

Until Bruce broke the silence, "He really grows on you, doesn't he."

"Loki's gonna drag this out, so, Thor what's his play?" asks Steve.

"He has an army the Chitauri. They're not of Asgard or any world known. He means to lead them against your people. They will win him the earth. In return, I suspect, for the Tesseract," explained Thor as he answered Steve's question.

Spiderwoman discreetly looks at Neith, asking her a silent question, if she knew anything. But Neith could only answer, "Sorry little one, but they are not familiar to me and I have just learned about them today just as you did," and Spiderwoman nodded in understanding.

"An army? From outer space?" questions Steve.

"So he's building another portal. That's what he needs Erik Selvig for," said Bruce.

Thor questions in familiarity of the name, "Selvig?"

"He's an astrophysicist," says Bruce.

"He's a friend," says Thor.

Natasha explains, "Loki has him under some kind of spell, along with one of ours."

"I wanna know why Loki let us take him. He's not leading an army from here," Steve questions.

"I don't think we should be focusing on Loki. That guy's brain is a bag full of cats, you could smell crazy on him," comments Bruce.

Thor was a bit hurt from the comment, "Have care how you speak. Loki is beyond reason, but he is of Asgard, and he's my brother."

Natasha says grimly, "He killed eighty people in two days."

Thor could only say, "He's adopted." Spiderwoman could only raise a brow at what Thor just said.

"I think it's about the mechanics. Iridium, what did they need the Iridium for?" asks Bruce.

"It's a stabilizing agent," answers Tony as he walks in with Coulson and he tells the agent, "I'll fly you there. Keep the love alive," then he turns back to the group, "Means the portal won't collapse on itself, like it did at SHIELD."

Then as Tony walks past Thor he tells him, "No hard feelings, Point Break. You've got a mean swing," then he refers back to the iridium, "Also, it means the portal can open as wide, and stay open as long, as Loki wants." Then he turns to the crew, "Uh, raise the mid-mast, ship the top sails." Everyone was looking at him in confusion, wondering what the man was saying, "That man is playing GALAGA! Thought we wouldn't notice. But we did," defended Tony. Then he covers one of his eyes, "How does Fury do this?"

Maria answers, "He turns."

Tony looks around the monitors and places something under Fury's desk without anyone noticing.

Tony first comments then explains, "Well, that sounds exhausting. The rest of the raw materials, Agent Barton can get his hands on pretty easily. Only major component he still needs is a power source. A high energy density, something to kick start the cube."

Maria asks, "When did you become an expert in thermonuclear astrophysics?"

"Last night. The packet, Selvig's notes, the Extraction Theory papers. Am I the only one who did the reading?" comments Tony.

"Does Loki need any particular kind of power source?" asks Steve.

Then like a student, Spiderwoman raised her hand, and Tony points to her, "You have an answer?"

She nods, "He's got to heat the cube to a hundred and twenty million Kelvin just to break through the Coulomb barrier."

Tony adds on, "Unless, Selvig has figured out how to stabilize the quantum tunneling effect.

Bruce comments, "Well, if he could do that he could achieve Heavy Ion Fusion at any reactor on the planet."

"Finally, people who speak English," comments Tony.

Steve could only question, "Is that what just happened?" in confusion, because science was definitely out of his depth.

Tony and Bruce shake hands, "It's good to meet you, Dr. Banner. Your work on anti-electron collisions is unparalleled. And I'm a huge fan of the way you lose control and turn into an enormous green rage monster."

Bruce looks down and says, "Thanks."

Fury walks in and says, "Dr. Banner is only here to track the cube. I was hoping you might join him."

"Let's start with that stick of his. It may be magical, but it works an awful lot like a HYDRA weapon," says Steve.

Fury says, "I don't know about that, but it is powered by the cube. And I'd like to know how Loki used it to turn two of the sharpest men I know into his personal flying monkeys."

Thor questions in confusion, "Monkeys? I do not understand."

Steve got excited for a moment and points out, "I do! I understood that reference."

"Fuck you're old," says Spiderwoman as Tony rolls his eyes.

Then he goes up to Bruce, "Shall we play, doctor?"

Bruce answers, "Let's play some."

Tony then calls for Spiderwoman, "Spidey, you coming?"

"Yep!" and she followed them back to the lab.

Back in the lab, Bruce continuously scans the scepter with some sort of device that detects radiation. Tony looks at the monitors, shifting and solving as many algorithms and equations. Spiderwoman looks through the packets of reports, seeing if there is anything they're missing.

Bruce explains, "The gamma readings are definitely consistent with Selvig's reports on the Tesseract. But it's gonna take weeks to process."

Tony says, "If we bypass their mainframe and direct a reroute to the Homer cluster, we can clock this around six hundred teraflops."

"All I packed was a toothbrush," says Bruce.

Tony suggests, "You know, you two should come by STARK TOWER sometime. Top ten floors, all R&D. You'd love it, it's candy land."

Bruce says, "Thanks, but the last time I was in New York I kind of broke...Harlem."

"Hey, I fought in New York too, well I fought near Queens," says Spiderwoman.

"Well, I promise a stress-free environment. No tension. No surprises," says Tony.

Suddenly, he pokes Banner with something small, that gave Bruce a little shock. Steve walks in on them, pissed at Tony.

Bruce winced, "OW!"

Steve shouted, "Hey!"

Tony looks closer in astonishment, "Nothing?"

Steve asked, "Are you nuts?"

Tony only asked more questions to Bruce, "You really have got a lid on it, haven't you? What's your secret? Mellow jazz? Bongo drums? Huge bag of weed?"

Steve then asked, "Is everything a joke to you?"

"Funny things are," answered Tony, simply.

Steve says, "Threatening the safety of everyone on this ship isn't funny. No offense, Doctor."

Bruce to no offence, "No, it's alright. I wouldn't have come aboard if I couldn't handle pointy things."

Tony joked again, "You're tiptoeing, big man. You need to strut."

Steve says, "And you need to focus on the problem, Mr. Stark."

Tony explains, "You think I'm not? Why did Fury call us and why now? Why not before? What isn't he telling us? I can't do the equation unless I have all the variables."

Steve asks, "You think Fury's hiding something?"

Tony says, "He's a spy. Captain, he's the spy. His secrets have secrets," then he points to Bruce, "It's bugging him too, isn't it?"

Bruce, with slight hesitation, "Uh...I just wanna finish my work here and..."

"Doctor?" inquires Steve.

After a beat, Bruce sighs and says, "'A warm light for all mankind, Loki's jab at Fury about the cube."

Steve says, "I heard it."

Bruce points to Tony and says, "Well, I think that was meant for you. Even if Barton didn't post that all over the news."

Steve was going to make a comment, "Stark Tower? That big ugly..." Tony gives him a look, "...building in New York?

Spiderwoman raises her hand again like she's in a classroom.

"God, Spidey, this is not a classroom," groaned Tony.

"The Stark Tower is powered by the Arc Reactors, right? That self-sustaining energy source? Wouldn't that last like maybe a year or two?" asked Spiderwoman.

Impressed with her, he answered, "That's just the prototype. I'm kind of the only name in clean energy right now."

Bruce, referring to Tony, "So, why didn't SHIELD bring him in on the Tesseract project? I mean, what are they doing in the energy business in the first place?

Tony then takes out a phone-like device, "I should probably look into that once my decryption programmer finishes breaking into all of SHIELD's secure files."

Steve was taken aback, "I'm sorry, did you say...?"

Tony explains "Jarvis has been running it since I hit the bridge. In a few hours we'll know every dirty secret SHIELD has ever tried to hide." He then holds out a bag of blueberries, "Blueberry?"

"I'll take one!" said Spiderwoman and speed walks over to him and takes a handful and she went back to where she was.

Steve, ignoring Spiderwoman, "Yet you're confused about why they didn't want you around?"

Tony says, "An intelligence organization that fears intelligence? Historically, not possible."

Steve says, "I think Loki's trying to wind us up. This is a man who means to start a war, and if don't stay focused, he'll succeed. We have orders, we should follow them."

Tony, eating another blueberry, says, "Following is not really my style."

Steve then gives a sarcastic smile, "And you're all about style, aren't you?"

For Tony, a nerve was hit but he didn't show it, so instead he says, "Of the people in this room, which one is; A. wearing a spangly outfit, and B. not of use?"

Bruce then questions, "Steve, tell me none of this smells a little funky to you?"

After a beat, Steve takes a moment, but like a soldier, he shrugs off the possibility.

Steve just said, "Just find the cube."

Steve then walks out of the lab, but he was still suspicious.

Back in the lab, the three continued their work.

Then Tony said, "That's the guy my dad never shut up about? Wondering if they shouldn't have kept him on ice."

Bruce says, "The guy's not wrong about Loki. He does have the jump on us."

"What he's got is an ACME dynamite kit. It's gonna blow up in his face, and I'm gonna be there when it does," said Tony.

Bruce jokes, "And I'll read all about it."

Tony then says, "Uh-huh. Or you'll be suiting up like the rest of us."

"I'm already in my suit," muttered Spiderwoman.

"Ah, see. I don't get a suit of armor. I'm exposed, like a nerve. It's a nightmare," explains Bruce.

Tony explains about his condition, "You know, I've got a cluster of shrapnel, trying every second to crawl its way into my heart," he then taps on the Arc Reactor on his chest, "This stops it. This little circle of light. It's part of me now, not just armor. It's a... terrible privilege."

"But you can control it," says Bruce.

"Because I learned how," says Tony.

Bruce says, "It's different."

Banner tries to read the computer screen, but Tony slides the data aside so the two can see face-to-face.

Tony then tells him, "Hey, I've read all about your accident. That much gamma exposure should have killed you."

Bruce, hesitantly asks, "So you're saying that the Hulk... the other guy... saved my life? That's nice. It's a nice sentiment. Saved it for what?"

After a beat, Tony answers, "I guess we'll find out."

The two move back to their respective computers.

Bruce says, "You might not like that."

Tony smiles, "You just might," then he turns to Spiderwoman, "You know how to control your powers, right?"

She looks up and nods, "Yeah, I mean, all it took for me was... a leap of faith." Tony nodded at her sentiment.

Meanwhile, everyone was doing something to pass the time. Steve was investigating a room with a bunch of crates and Thor was talking to Fury.

Now in the Detention sector, Loki is walking back and forth inside his glass cell. Suddenly, he stops, and he smiles.

Loki comments, "There's not many people that can sneak up on me," and he turns to see Natasha standing in the room, just outside of his cell.

Natasha says, "But you figured I'd come."

"After whatever tortures Fury can concoct, you would appear as a friend, as a balm. And I would cooperate," said Loki

"I wanna know what you've done to Agent Barton," demanded Natasha.

Loki simply answered, "I'd say I've expanded his mind."

"And once you've won. Once you're king of the mountain. What happens to his mind?" asked Natasha.

"Is this love, Agent Romanoff?" questions Loki in amusement.

"Love is for children. I owe him a debt," denies Natasha.

Loki then sits down, "Tell me."

The agent pulls up a chair and takes a seat as well, and she explains, "Before I worked for SHIELD, I uh...well, I made a name for myself. I have a very specific skillset. I didn't care who I used it for, or on. I got on SHIELD's radar in a bad way. Agent Barton was sent to kill me, he made a different call."

"And what will you do if I vow to spare him?" asked Loki.

"Not let you out," answers Natasha with a little smile.

Loki then laughs, "Ah, no. But I like this. Your world in the balance, and you bargain for one man?"

Natasha answers, "Regimes fall every day. I tend not to weep over that, I'm Russian... or was."

"What is it you want?" he asks.

She answers, "It's really not that complicated. I've got red in my ledger, I'd like to wipe it out."

Loki then starts questioning her, "Can you? Can you wipe out that much red? Drakov's daughter? Sao Paulo? The hospital fire? Barton told me everything," he then stands up and walks to the glass, closer to her, "Your ledger is dripping, it's gushing red, and you think saving a man no more virtuous than yourself will change anything?" and he got close, and his tone grew angrier, as he mocked her, "This is the basest sentimentality. This is a child at prayer... PATHETIC!"

As Loki monologued Tony, Bruce, and Spiderwoman were working on the computers, and they found something interesting.

Loki says, "You lie and kill in the service of liars and killers."

Maria was overlooking the computers when they all, all of sudden, had a screen popping up that said, "VIRUS DETECTED" and Fury had a concerned look.

He continued, "You pretend to be separate, to have your own code, something that makes up for the horrors. But they are a part of you, and they will never go away!"

Steve was in some sort of storage room. He opened a crate that contained weapons, but when he opened it, he was angered. The weapons looked exactly like the weapons that HYDRA has created and used in his time.

Back in the Detention, Loki slammed his fist against the glass and Natasha flinched.

Loki said, in a threatening tone, "I won't touch Barton. Not until I make him kill you! Slowly. Intimately. In every way he knows you fear! And when he'll wake just long enough to see his good work, and when he screams, I'll split his skull! This is my bargain, you mewling quim!"

Natasha turns and walks away from Loki, disgusted.

She then spoke quietly, with distraught, "You're a monster," as she quietly sniffles.

He then chuckles and says, "No, you brought the monster."

She then turns back, her attitude goes back to normal, and she says, "So, Banner... that's your play."

Loki, a bit staggered, "What?"

The agent then speaks through the earpiece, "Loki means to unleash the Hulk. Keep Banner in the lab, I'm on my way. Send Thor as well," as she walks away, she turns to Loki, "Thank you for your cooperation."

She then quickly walks out, leaving Loki confused on what just happened.

Now in the lab, Fury walks in to see Tony, Bruce, and Spiderwoman stop working on the scepter.

Fury, angrily asks, "What are you doing, Mr. Stark?"

"Uh...kind of been wondering the same thing about you" quips Tony.

"You're supposed to be locating the Tesseract," demanded Fury.

Bruce speaks up, "We are. The model's locked and we're sweeping for the signature now. When we get a hit, we'll have the location within half a mile."

Tony then says, "And you'll get your cube back, no muss, no fuss," suddenly the monitor in front of him shows a collection of files, and he asks, "What is PHASE 2?"

Suddenly, Steve walks in and drops a huge assault rifle on the table causing Fury, Banner, Tony, and Spiderwoman to turn around. He looked furious.

"Woah," said Spiderwoman quietly, amazed yet frightened at the size.

"Were they planning to make weapons by using that cube?" questions Neith.

Steve answers for Fury, "Phase 2 is SHIELD uses the cube to make weapons," he then says to Tony, "Sorry, the computer was moving a little slow."

Fury then tries to explain, and deny, "Rogers, we gathered everything related to the Tesseract. This does not mean that we're..."

Tony interrupts him, "I'm sorry, Nick," as he moves the computer screen towards Fury which shows plans of the weapons they were building and he asks, "What were you lying?"

"I was right..." sighs Neith and Spiderwoman hums.

Steve then says, disappointed, "I was wrong, director. The world hasn't changed a bit."

At that moment, Thor and Natasha walk into the lab. Natasha keeps her eyes right on Banner. Banner looks at her, angrily.

"Did you know about this?" asked Bruce.

"You wanna think about removing yourself from this environment, doctor," says Natasha not answering the question.

Bruce says, "I was in Calcutta; I was pretty well removed."

"Loki's manipulating you," says Natasha.

"And you've been doing what exactly?" asked Bruce.

She then says, "You didn't come here because I bat my eyelashes at you."

"Yes, and I'm not leaving because suddenly you get a little twitchy. I'd like to know why SHIELD is using the Tesseract to build weapons of mass destruction." demanded Bruce as he points to the monitor.

After a beat, Fury points at Thor, "Because of him."

Thor points at himself, stunned, "Me?"

"Glad that he didn't point at me," muttered Spiderwoman.

"Last year, Earth had a visitor from another planet who had a grudge match that leveled a small town. We learned that not only are we not alone, but we are hopelessly, hilariously, outgunned," explained Fury.

"My people want nothing but peace with your planet," says Thor, with his own frustration.

Fury then says, "But you're not the only people out there, are you? And, you're not the only threat. The world's filling up with people who can't be matched, they can't be controlled."

Steve then says with attitude, "Like you controlled the cube?"

"Wait, what do you mean people that can't be controlled? You want to control people like us? Ones that are like ME?" questions Spiderwoman, now a bit angered, even Neith was also angered.

"Your work with the Tesseract is what drew Loki to it, and his allies. It is the signal to all the realms that the earth is ready for a higher form of war," said Thor.

"A higher form?" asked Steve.

"You forced our hand. We had to come up with something," defended Fury.

Then Tony says, "Nuclear deterrent. Cause that always calms everything right down."

Fury then asks, "Remind me again how you made your fortune, Stark?"

"I'm sure if he still made weapons, Stark would be neck deep..." says Steve.

Tony asks, in shock, "Wait! Wait! Hold on! How is this now about me?"

"I'm sorry, isn't everything?" says Steve, heavy with sarcasm.

Then Thor comments, "I thought humans were more evolved than this."

Fury asks, "Excuse me, did WE come to YOUR planet and blow stuff up?"

Thor asks, "Did you always give your champions such mistrust?"

Natasha says, "Are you all really that naive? S.H.I.E.L.D monitors potential threats."

Captain America is on the threat potential watch list?" asks Bruce.

"We all are," says Natasha.

"Why am I a threat?! I've done nothing but help people!" says Spiderwoman with anger.

Tony turns to Steve and asks, "You're on that list? Are you above or below angry bees?"

Steve then says, "I swear to God, Stark, one more wise crack..."

"Threatening! I feel threatened!" exclaimed Tony.

"Show some respect..." demanded Steve.

"Respect what?" asks Tony.

As the "team" argues, no one noticed that Loki's scepter was glowing brighter.

Outside the helicarrier, a lone jet slowly flies to the ship.

A SHIELD agent spoke through the coms, "661 Bravo, please relay your pass code. What is your hull, over?"

"Arms and ammunition, over," says the pilot.

Inside the jet, Clint and his crew suit up and arm themselves. Barton pulls out his high-tech bow and arrows.

Back in the lab, everyone was still at each other.

"You speak of control, yet you court chaos," says Thor.

Bruce speaks up, "It's his M.O., isn't it? I mean, what are we, a team? No, no, no. We're a chemical mixture that makes chaos. We're... we're a time-bomb."

"You need to step away," orders Fury.

Tony then asks, sarcastically, as he puts his hand Steve's shoulder, "Why shouldn't the guy let off a little steam?"

Steve yells at him, shoving off Tony, "You know damn well why! Back off!"

Tony then turns to Steve, "Oh, I'm starting to want you to make me."

Steve scoffs and he taunts, "Big man in a suit of armor. Take that off, what are you?"

Without missing a beat, Tony answers, "Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist."

Natasha raised a brow and nods, like 'Yeah, he's not wrong.'

Steve then says, "I know guys with none of that worth ten of you. Yeah, I've seen the footage. The only thing you really fight for is yourself. You're not the guy to make the sacrifice play, to lay down on a wire and let the other guy crawl over you."

Tony says, "I think I would just cut the wire."

Steve smiles and taunts, "Always a way out... You know, you may not be a threat, but you better stop pretending to be a hero."

Tony then steps closer to Steve, "A hero? Like you? You're a laboratory experiment, Rogers. Everything special about you came out of a bottle."

Just outside of the helicarrier

The ramp of the carrier opens. The carrier maneuvers next to one of the large turbine engines. Barton stands at the base, holding out his bow. He pulls out an arrow. He points right at the engine. Then he moves his aim and points the arrow away the engine. He releases. The arrow flies out, but then heads for the engine. It lands on the engine, and it beeps.

Back in the lab, Steve sizes up at Tony, who just stands there, unmoving.

"Put on the suit, let's go a few rounds," taunts Steve.

Thor laughs at them and comments, "You people are so petty... and tiny."

"Yeah, this is a team..." grumbles Bruce.

"Agent Romanoff, would you escort Dr. Banner back to his..." orders Natasha.

"Where? You rented my room," interrupts Bruce.

Fury was about to explain, "The cell was just in case..."

Bruce says, "In case you needed to kill me, but you can't! I know. I tried," it got quiet, and everyone looked at him, after a beat he says, "I got low. I didn't see an end, so I put a bullet in my mouth and the other guy spit it out! So, I moved on. I focused on helping other people. I was good, until you dragged me back into this freak show and put everyone here at risk!"

Banner slowly gets upset as he looks at Romanoff, who gets unnerved.

"You wanna know my secret, Agent Romanoff? You wanna know how I stay calm?" asks Bruce.

Natasha and Fury have their hands down to grab their guns in case should things go south.

"Doctor Banner... put down the scepter," says Steve as he notices that Bruce was now holding the scepter.

The doctor looks down and is in shock that he was holding Loki's scepter now. The computer beeps. They all turn to it.

"Got it," calls Tony.

Banner puts down the scepter and walks over to the computer.

Bruce sarcastically apologizes, "Sorry, kids. You don't get to see my little party trick after all."

Thor asks, "You've located the Tesseract?"

Tony claims, "I can get there faster."

Steve was about to say something, "Look, all of us..."

Thor interrupts, "The Tesseract belongs on Asgard, no human is a match for it."

Tony turns to leave, but Steve stops him.

Steve says to him, "You're not going alone!"

"You gonna stop me?" asks Tony.

"Put on the suit, let's find out," taunts Steve.

Tony retorts, "I'm not afraid to hit an old man."

"Put on the suit," challenges Steve.

At that moment Banner who's looking at the monitor notices something about the Tesseract.

Bruce quietly exclaims, "Oh, my God..."

Just outside the helicarrier, Clint pushes the trigger on the bow and the arrow then explodes on the engine.

Everyone is thrown in every direction. Steve, Fury, Thor and Tony are thrown across while Natasha and Banner are down in the lower equipment room.

Just as the blast threw Spiderwoman across the room, for a moment, she blacked out and she had a vision. She saw six stones, all of them were different colors. Then she heard a blaring noise, and she came out of the vision. She heard two other people.

Steve looks up at Tony.

Steve says, "Put on the suit!"

"Yep!" agrees Tony.

Steve helps Tony up and out of the lab. Fury sits up, clutching his ribs. He checks in with Hill with his earpiece.

Fury calls, "Hill?!"

Emergency alarms set off, fire extinguishers activate near surrounding fires and every agent is in a spinning scramble for their positions and armaments. Agent Hill keeps the bridge as calm as possible.

Maria ordered, "Turn up that engine! Number 3 engine is: down! Can we get a run in?" then she runs up to another agent, "Talk to me."

The agent answers and points to monitor, "Turbine looks mostly intact, but it's impossible to get out there and make repairs while we're in the air."

Hill says, "We lose one more engine, we won't be. Somebody's got to get outside and patch that engine."

Fury asks, "Stark! You copy that?!"

Tony answers, "I'm on it!"

Fury orders, "Coulson! Initiate official lock down in the detention section then get to the armory! Move out!"

He then helps Spiderwoman up, "You, ok?"

"I'm good, what the hell happened?" questions Spiderwoman.

"I don't know, but do you think you can head down to the Detention to get to Loki?" he asks.

"You got it!" she answers and runs down to the Detention.

Agent Coulson runs out of the bridge.

Now in the lower equipment room, where Natasha and Bruce fell after the blast.

Natasha looks over to Banner, who is breathing heavy, having landed hard. He is gripping the grated floor to maintain control, but his eyes are green, his face intense.

Natasha says to herself, quietly, "I'm okay. We're okay, right?"

Once the crew lands on the landing deck, Clint leads his men into the air ducts of the ship. They rappel down into a corridor.

Clint then gave his orders, "Keep that engine down! Detention, wait for the cameras to go dark," then the last couple of men, "Stay close."

Two of his men follow him. They head towards the bridge.

Spiderwoman was running through the halls, past the agents and technicians as she was repeating a mantra, "Detention, detention, detention..." then she yells out, "WHERE THE HELL IS DETENTION!"

Tony and Cap run through a dim; debris filled hall.

Tony says to Steve, "Engine three. I'll meet you there."

Cap peels off as Tony approaches a tech room. Inside, Tony's Iron Man suit stands waiting, whirs and lights up.

In the dim light as Bruce struggles to suppress the rage, but his face is growing, changing slowly. Natasha is pulling herself painfully free, talking to Banner.

Natasha tries to calm him down, "Doctor... Bruce, you got to fight it. This is just what Loki wants. We're gonna be okay. Listen to me."

Two approaching SHIELD soldiers arrive to check on her. She furiously waves them away. They bolt out of there.

"We're gonna be okay. Right? I swear on my life I will get you out of this, you will walk away, and never..." as she tries to console Bruce.

But Bruce yells, "Your life?!"

His voice has the change in it, the bitter amusement is morphing to a growled threat. Another explosion rocks the carrier, and he turns to look at her, transforming just as the lights go out.

"Bruce," pleaded Natasha.

Banner suddenly starts transforming into the HULK and gives Natasha one last knowing look. Natasha frees herself from the rubble. She stops. The Hulk, sensing her, turns his head and puts on a face of a disturbing monster. Natasha bolts up the stairs with the Hulk chasing after her. Natasha maneuvers, she rolls under a turbine, starts to crawl within the maze of pipes. The Hulk pulls them out from above the catwalk. Natasha falls through under the catwalks and quickly and stealthily escapes. The Hulk lets out a roar in rage unlike anything.

Sitting in the Detention, Loki looks up, smiling mischievously, knowing that the beast has now been set loose.

Fury runs in and sees the chaos has increased even more than before. The everything is in complete disarray.

Fury orders, "Bring the carrier to 1-80 and head south. Take us to the water."

The agent explains, "We're flying blind. Navigations recalibrated after the engine failure."

"Is the sun coming up?!" asks Fury.

"Yes, sir," answers the agent.

Fury orders, "Then put it on the left! Get us over water! One more turbine goes down and we drop."

Steve, pushing with all his strength the door to portside, sees SHIELD technicians in full oxygen masks shoot fire extinguishers and cover from sparks, largely unable to do anything. Engine 3 is totally dead. A huge piece of the port side in torn off.

Steve calls, "Stark, I'm here!"

"Good. See what we got," says Tony as he flies in his Iron Man suit and gets closer to the damaged engine.

Tony observes within his viewscreen at the damaged engine and its layouts.

Tony then starts explaining, "I gotta get this super conducting cooling system back online before I can access the rotors and work on dislodging the debris."

Tony begins pulling on the stuck rotors. Looks over at Steve.

"I need you to get to that engine control panel and tell me which relays are in overload position," says Tony.

Tony flies into giant conductors. Steve jumps over to the other side of the broken railing. Steve gets himself to the control panel and opens it up. He looked at the panel in confusion.

Tony asks, "What's it look like in there?"

"It seems to run on some form of electricity," answers Steve, with some sarcasm.

Tony says, "Well, you're not wrong."

Natasha crawls under the catwalk, then she stops. The room vibrates, Natasha pulls out her gun and slowly walks out onto the catwalk and spin... and then a roar, the Hulk. Natasha fires a shot into a liquid nitrogen pipe that hits the hulk in face. Hulk smashes it in anger. Natasha begins to run through the maze of corridors. The Hulk following close behind her. Finally, she reaches and a long corridor. As she runs, behind her, the Hulk tears up the hallway, coming at her. Natasha turns to see, but the Hulk smacks her into the wall. Natasha looks up in fear. The Hulk raises his hand and suddenly, he was knocked into the next room by Thor, saving Natasha.

Both Thor and Hulk roll across the floor. Every person runs the hell out. Thor looks up and Hulk makes his move, yet the god dodges. Thor swings his massive hand and almost knocks Hulk off his feet. Hulk keeps swinging and missing, pissing him off. Finally, he brings down his arm, but Thor grabs it and wraps around it.

"We are not your enemies, Banner! Try to think!" says Thor.

Hulk lifts his arm up, to Thor's surprise, and he sends him flying when he punches Thor with his fist.

As Spiderwoman runs through the halls, she encounters a new problem. The men who are under control of Loki.

"Ok, fellas, let's dance," she quips and shoots a web at one of them. Pulling him closer and throws a punch at his face. Another charges at her, attempting to stab with a knife in hand, but she dodged, but the knife was able to graze her arm. However, thanks to her suit, it healed quickly.

"You guys are really annoying!" she shouts as she kicks the other at the torso and knocks him down. She then webs the other men to the walls and webs the two knocked down ones to the ground. Making sure that they don't leave, she then continues her way to Detention.

Outside the Helicarrier, Tony continuously blasts broken debris off the turbine engine. It's bad, but still fixable.

Steve then calls, as he asks, "The relays are intact. What's our next move?"

Tony answers, "Even if I clear the rotors, this thing won't re-engage without a jump. I'm gonna have to get in there and push."

Steve says, "Well, if that thing gets up to speed, you'll get shredded!"

Tony explains, "Then stay in the control unit and reverse polarity long enough to disengage mag..."

Steve interrupts, "Speak English!"

Tony then explains to him, as simply as possible, "See that red lever? It'll slow the rotors down long enough for me to get out. Stand by it, wait for my word."

Steve looks over at the other side where he was. He sees the red lever and leaps towards it.

Back at the hanger, Thor crashes into another stack of crates. As he raises his head, he feels something on his lips, blood. As he wipes it off, Hulk's roar is not too far. Thor extends his hand out. The roar gets louder and closer, Thor, still waiting on the hammer to fly in, his smile slightly wavers. Then Hulk runs right at him and at the last second, his hammer flies into his hand and Thor hits Hulk, who crashes into a jet. Hulk stands back up and angrily rips off the wing of the jet and throws it at Thor, yet he slides under and jumps up. He throws the hammer, knocking the Hulk down, hammer in hand. He tries to lift it but can't and the hammer remains on the ground. Thor jumps up again, kneeing Hulk in the face. Thor grabs his hammer, jumps on him, using the hammer as a lock for his chokehold.

Back at the bridge, Fury and Agent Hill look over their monitors.

Fury orders, "We need a full evac on the lower hangar bay."

Agent Hill nods. She leaves to exit out, but a grenade appears.

Maria warns, "GRENADE!"

The grenade goes off, sending her down the steps. Fury shoots at the open entrance. He moves over behind the side of the entrance and a handful of Barton's men enter.

Coulson walks up the armory door. He faces his head into a scanner and walks into the room.

A shield agent voices into the P.A. "We got perimeter breach! Hostiles are in SHIELD gear. Hold on to every junction."

Hulk crashes from under the floor, sending Thor. Hulk grabs him by the neck.

A gunfight opens up. Agents exchange fire with brutally efficient tactical soldiers.

Another agent voices into the P.A. "We have the Hulk and Thor on research level 4. Levels 2 and 3 are dark."

Maria voices her concern, "Sir, the Hulk will tear this place apart!"

Fury orders, "Get his attention."

Hill nods and gives the command, "Escort 0-6, proceed to Wishbone and engage hostile. Don't get too close."

The pilot obliges, "Copy."

The pilot flies his way to the section that the Hulk and Thor were in.

Then he slowly makes his way in. sees the action going between Thor and the Hulk. Then the pilot calls out, "Target acquired. Target engaged," and he pulls the trigger, fires guns at Hulk.

Bullets were shot at the Hulk and Thor ducks for cover. The Hulk turns around, letting out his roar in anger. He jumps up, takes a running start and leaps, and the pilot's eyes widen in panic.

The pilot screams out in panic, "TARGET ANGRY! TARGET ANGRY!"

Hulk lands on the jet and it spins wildly. As the Hulk tears it apart, the pilot pulls his ejection seat, but the Hulk catches him, waves him around, and throws him away. The pilot pulls his parachute. The jet explodes and Hulk plummets down to Earth.

Spiderwoman sees the hallway that leads to detention as she makes her way, she encounters four more men, "Man! You've got be kidding me!" and she charges at them, "Get outta my way!" as she pulls out a spider dagger from her chest. She chucks at the closest bad guy. As she runs past the body, she quickly pulls it out and goes in hand-to-hand combat with the rest.

Tony laser cuts a big piece of broken metal. He then jumps on it, relieving the rotors. On the other side, Clint's men enter and Steve jumps to the other railing and down with Barton's men. He takes them down one by one, even goes as far as throwing one off. A few more enter, firing. Steve grabs a big gun and jumps back up to his position, firing down at them.

The gunfight has gone down, but more of Barton's men enter and are taken by Fury, who is confused as to why they keep coming.

Fury questions, "They are not getting through here, so what the hell..."

Suddenly, Clint releases an arrow down to the bridge and destroys many areas. Barton releases a multi-tipped arrow towards Fury, but instead hits his command desk, right above a USB outlet. Fury shoots at Clint but is already gone. The arrow then self- activates and inserts itself into the outlets, hacking every single monitor and main frame. The hacking causes Engine 1 to shut off. Suddenly, the Helicarrier begins to tilt to one side.

Then an agent reports, "Sir, we've lost all power in Engine 1."

Fury then informs, "It's Barton. He took out our systems. He's headed for the detention level. Does anybody copy?"

Still shaken by the Hulk ordeal, Natasha sits there, rocking back and forth, after crying for a while. After some time, she touches her earpiece.

Natasha reports in, "This is Agent Romanoff. I copy."

Natasha gets back up and runs for Clint.

Tony begins to push the rotor using boosters from his boots.

Fury calls in, "Stark, we're losing altitude."

Tony agreed, "Yeah, noticed."

The rotors start propelling faster and faster as the booster on the suit get more and more bright. On the other side, Steve continuously shoots at Clint's men. Blinking at the wrong moment, Steve loses the upper hand and slides off the railing but grabs onto a loose cable.

Thor runs into the Detention section where he finds Loki, escaping.

Thor yells out, "NO!"

Thor charges at his brother, in attempt to stop him. Loki walks up to him and crouches down ready to counterattack. Thor phased through Loki. The false Loki dissipates, and the real Loki appears from behind the cell door, which closes on Thor, locking him up. Loki smiles.

"Are you ever not going to fall for that?" taunts Loki.

Clint walks alone down the catwalk. In a lightning-fast move, he equips an arrow, and points it at Natasha, but she maneuvers her way around him, making Clint to drop his bow, but pulls out a knife on her.

Thor, in a fit of anger, slams his hammer onto the glass cell. To his surprise, the cell door only cracks, but violently shakes the cell. Loki stands there in caution, as does his guarding soldier.

Loki then smiles and walks over to the control panel, "The humans think us immortal. Should we test that?"

Suddenly, guarding soldier falls. Coulson stands there, holding the Phase 2 weapon.

He then tells Loki, "Move away, please."

Loki moves away from the switch.

Coulson then quizzes Loki, "You like this? We started working on the prototype after you sent The Destroyer. Even I don't know what it does. Do you wanna find out?"

Then another voice speaks out, "Yeah, why don't you listen to the man with the big gun." Loki turned and saw that it was Spiderwoman, but he only smiled, she became confused.

A loud gasp filled the room. The agent is impaled by the scepter. The real Loki was standing behind Coulson.

Thor yelled out in anger, "Nooo!"

She sees the scene, "NOOO!" she runs over, in hopes to take down the god and save Coulson, but instead she got blasted by the scepter and gets knocked back hard against the walls.

Loki sends Agent Coulson against the wall. Agent Coulson slumps down, breathing fast. Loki makes his way to the control switch and he gives his brother one last look. Loki opens the hatch, and presses the button dropping the cell, with Thor in it.
