Marvel: The Avengers; Part 1
In an unknown location, a figure is shown, he spoke in a grave voice, "The tesseract has awakened. It is on a little world. A human world. They would wield its power..."
As the figure gives a scepter to a pair of hands.
He speaks again, "But our ally knows its workings as they never will. He is ready to lead. And our force, our Chitauri, will follow.
An army of aliens were awaiting orders.
Then the figure makes his claim, "The world will be his. The universe yours. And the humans, what can they do but burn?"
The scene cuts to a SHIELD Facility, it was nighttime, and everyone was evacuating. Then a helicopter lands and Fury and another agent come out. He goes up to Agent Coulson.
"How bad is it?" he asks, in a bit louder voice to make himself audible over the helicopter.
The agent answers, "That's the problem sir. We don't know."
They enter the facility, passing fleeing technicians as they were taking only the essentials.
Coulson informs him, "Dr. Selvig read an energy surge from the Tesseract four hours ago."
Fury says, "NASA didn't authorize Selvig to test phase."
Coulson explains to him, "He wasn't testing it, he wasn't even in the room. Spontaneous advancement."
The other agent, Maria Hill, asked, "It just turned itself on?"
Fury then asked, ignoring Hill's question, "What are the energy levels?"
He answered, "Climbing. When Selvig couldn't shut it down, we ordered evac."
He then asked, "How long to get everyone out?"
Coulson reports, "Campus should be clear in the next half hour."
Fury then ordered, "Do better."
They continue walking down deeper into the facility, passing by more technicians and other agents as they were running out.
Maria says, "Sir, evacuation may be futile."
Fury retorts, "We should tell them to go back to sleep?"
She then says to him, "If we can't control the Tesseract's energy, there may not be a minimum safe distance."
He then orders her, "I need you to make sure Phase 2 prototypes are shipped out."
"Sir, is that really a priority right now?" she questions.
He says his reason, "Until such a time as the world ends, we will act as though it intends to spin on," and he repeats his order again, "Clear out the tech below. Every piece of Phase 2 on a truck and gone."
Hill complies with him, "Yes sir," and the tells two nearby agents, "With me."
Fury and Agent Coulson enter the radiation facility that is containing the Tesseract, the area cluttered with machines and people leaving, and the scientists were scrambling around the computers.
Fury calls for the one in charge, "Talk to me doctor."
Dr. Erik Selvig, the one in charge, appears from behind a machine, concerned. The Tesseract is glowing brighter and a flare of blue shoots out from it, hitting things at random.
Selvig acknowledges him, "Director."
The director then asks the important question, "Is there anything we know for certain?"
Selvig answers, "The Tesseract is misbehaving."
Fury asks, in a bit of an irritated voice, "Is that supposed to be funny?"
He denies it, "No, it's not funny at all. The Tesseract is not only active, she's... misbehaving."
Fury asks, "How soon until you pull the plug?"
The doctor answers, "She's an energy source. If we turn off the power, she turns it back on. If she reaches peak level..."
Fury says to him, "We've prepared for this doctor. Harnessing energy from space."
Selvig says to him, "We don't have the harness. Our calculations are far from complete. Now she's throwing off interference, radiation. Nothing harmful, low levels of gamma radiation."
Fury looks at him and says, "That can be harmful," then he asks, "Where's Barton?
Selvig smirks and says, "The Hawk? Up in his nest, as usual."
Clint Barton, dressed in black tactical gear, up on the railings watching them below. Fury calls Barton on his earpiece.
Fury orders him, "Agent Barton, report."
Barton rappels down from his place and walks up to Fury. They both walk around the bottom of the facility in a discreet manner.
Fury informs him with a bit of stern, "I gave you this detail so you could keep a close eye on things."
Clint says, "Well, I see better from a distance."
His boss asks, "Are you seeing anything that might set this thing off?"
A female scientist informs Selvig, "Doctor, it's spiking again," and he goes up to the computer that she was working on.
Clint then gave his report, "No one's come or gone. Its oven is clean. No contacts, no I.M.S. If there was any tampering, sir, it wasn't at this end."
Fury looks at him in confusion, "At this end?"
Clint tells him his theory, "Yeah, the cube is a doorway to the other end of space, right? The doors open from both sides."
As Dr. Selvig is typing on his keyboard, the monitor flashes. Suddenly, the Tesseract thunders and shakes the entire facility. Both Agent Coulson nearby, and Maria Hill topside, feel the tremors. The cube glows brighter and it creates a beam of light. The power hits the edge of the platform, and it forms a vortex It then becomes a portal. Space appears through the portal, and a wave of blue energy knocks people back.
The cloud shoots to the ceiling, and the portal on the platform opens up and a man, clad in green and gold, appeared before them. The portal vanishes, and the man grins at everyone, holding his spear. He frowns as he sees them looking at him.
Fury calls at him, "Sir, please put down the spear."
Loki looks at his spear and fires it, while Barton narrowly tackles Fury out of the way. Everyone shoots at Loki, but the bullets deflect off of him. Loki immediately takes down everyone shooting at him easily, with knives and energy blasts from his spear. He pauses, grinning, and looks to who will attack him next. Barton attempts to attack him, but he grabs his wrist, disarming him.
The man says, "You have heart."
The man places the tip of the spear against Barton's chest. Barton's eye glow black, and he stops resisting. Loki begins controlling other agents around the room. Fury sneaks up, grabs the Tesseract, and places it in a briefcase, and makes an attempt to sneak out.
But the man detected him and says, "Please don't. I still need that."
Fury turned to face him and says, "This doesn't have to get any messier."
The man then introduced himself, "Of course it does. I've come too far for anything else. I am Loki of Asgard, and I am burdened with glorious purpose."
Selvig got up and questions, "Loki? Brother of Thor?"
Fury tries to deflect the conflict, "We have no quarrel with your people."
Loki tells him his view, "An ant had no quarrel with a boot."
The director asks him, in disbelief, "You planning to step on us?"
Loki, tells his reasoning, "I come with glad tidings, of a world made free."
Fury asks him, "Free from what?"
The god answers, "Freedom. Freedom is life's great lie. Once you accept that, in your heart..." And he points the spear at Selvig's heart and his eyes glowed, falling under his spell.
Loki finalizes, "You will know peace."
Fury says, "Yeah, you say peace, I kind of think you mean the other thing."
The magic above was starting to swell and grow.
Clint informs Loki, "Sir, Director Fury is stalling. This place is about to blow. Drop a hundred feet of rock on us. He means to bury us".
The director makes a bit of a reference, "Like the Pharaohs of old."
Selvig reports, "He's right. The portal is collapsing in on itself. You got maybe two minutes before this goes critical."
Loki looks to Barton, who without hesitation shoots Fury, who falls to the ground. Barton grabs the case containing the Tesseract and leaves the lab with Loki, Selvig, and the other controlled SHIELD personnel.
As they left, they met with Hill, she asks who it was, but Fury told her over comms that Barton has turned, then a fight broke out. Ending with Loki's escape with the tesseract.
But the portal imploded, and it destroyed the entire facility and everything in it. Hill barely manages to get out of the tunnel, Coulson was at safe distance in a jeep, while Fury got onto helicopter. As the jeep that Loki was driving, Fury's chopper flew overhead, he had aimed a rocket launcher at his vehicle, but Loki was quicker.
He fired a beam at the helicopter, and it went down. Loki has finally, truly, escaped.
Fury then hears Coulson's voice over the walkie talkie, "Director? Director Fury, do you copy?"
Fury answers, "The tesseract is with the hostile force. I have men down. Hill?"
She answered her walkie talkie as she was climbing out of the wreckage of her jeep, "A lot of men still under, don't know how many survivors."
The director was looking around, observing the wreckage caused by the god.
Fury orders, "Sound the general call. I want every living soul not working rescue, looking for that briefcase."
Hill obliges, "Roger that."
Fury then orders, "Coulson, get back to base. This is a Level Seven. As of right now, we are at war."
Coulson asks, "What do we do?"
Nick Fury looks up, a thought on his mind.

(can't help myself, had to put it in here :))
The scene cuts to Russia, in a warehouse just right next to the train tracks. In the building, Natasha is tied on a chair, surrounded by two Russian thugs and a Russian general. One of the thugs slaps the woman.
"Не так я ожидал провести этот вечер" said the general, (This is not how I wanted this evening to go).
"И знаю что вы ждали, так лучше, поверьте," Natasha responded, (I know how you wanted this evening to go, this is better, believe me).
"А кому ты работаешь, на Лерментам, да?" asked the general, (Who are you working for, Lermentov, yes?) and he asks another question, "он все и что думает, что мы должны через неву, только будь наш таба?" (Does he think we have to go through him to move our cargo?)
"Я думала Генерал Солохоб отвечает за экспорт," says the woman, pretending to be confused. (I thought General Solohob is in charge of the export business).
"Солохоб, курьер, он прикрытий. Твой устаревшее информации подводят тебя." says the general, (Solohob, a bagman, a front. Your outdated information betrays you). Then he mocks her, "Знаменитая чёрная вдова. Оказалось просто что одно красивое личико." (The famous Black Widow. And she turns out to be another pretty face).
"вы правда думаете что я красива?" asked the widow, (You really think I'm pretty?). Then the other thug grabs her face and pried her mouth open as the general walks over to a tray that holds a variety of torture devices.
"Скажи Лермонтову, что он нам не нужен чтобы толкнуть танки. Скажи ему он видел так..." he says as he picks up a device that looks like pliers, (Tell Lermentov, we don't need him to move the tanks. Tell him he is out).
He looks at her and says with a smirk, "You may have to write it down," in English.
Then a phone rings and the thug who was not holding her answered, "Да? Это для неё," as he gestured to the woman. (Yes? It's for her). He gave his boss the phone.
"Ты слушай внимательно," says the general as he was about to make his threat. (You listen carefully).
Agent Coulson interrupted him, making his own threat, "You're at Solensky Plaza, 3rd floor. We have an F22, exactly 8 miles out. Put the woman on the phone or I will blow up the block before you can make the lobby."
The general puts the phone against Natasha's ear as her hands were tied behind her back while tied up on a chair.
"We need you to come in," says Coulson.
"Are you kidding? I'm working," she says in disbelief and with slight annoyance.
Coulson says, "This takes precedence."
"I'm in the middle of an interrogation and this moron is giving me everything," says the woman, like she was stating as it was obvious.
The general looks at her in confusion, "I don't give everything," and she looked at him with her brow raising at him, her eyes were saying, "Really, are you sure?"
"Natasha... Barton's been compromised," explains Coulson with a grim voice.
After a beat, the woman says, "Let me put you on hold," she nods to the general and he takes the phone. As he was about to pull away, she kicks him and gets into a fight with the two thugs. As she was fighting, her phone was still on so Coulson could hear the groans of the thugs and the sounds of her punches. But he just waits like this was a normal occurrence.
She picks up the phone and asks, "Where's Barton now?"
He answers, "We don't know."
"But he's alive," says the widow.
"We think so. I'll brief you on everything when you get back. But first, we need you to talk to the big guy," says the agent on the other side.
"Coulson, you know that Stark only trusts me about as far as he can throw me," explains Natasha as she was smiling.
"No, I've got Stark. You get the big guy," says Coulson.
She pauses and hangs up the phone, but not before she says, "Боже мой." (My god).
The scene cuts to the slums of India. A little girl was running, pushing through the crowd. She runs into the makeshift hospital and goes upstairs, to find the one only doctor running it, Bruce Banner.
One of the women who were attending to the sick notices her and asks in disbelief as she was trying to usher out, "Who are you?! Get out! There is sickness here!" (In Hindu dialect).
The little girl explains as Bruce approaches her, "You're a doctor! My father's not waking up! He has a fever and he's moaning, but his eyes won't open!"
Bruce goes, "Slow down," calmly.
"My father..." says the girl and Banner asks, pointing to the patients that are in the room, "Like them?" as the patients were moaning and groaning.
The girl holds out money, they were crumpled, as she had desperate look in her eyes and she says in English, "Please..."
The girl then leads the doctor to the outskirts of the city, but just before they could enter the hut, a jeep with soldiers on it, armed with a big gun passed them. He stopped her before they could go any further. Then when the jeep passes, they enter the hut, but the girl went out the window.
He laughs at himself for believing such an elaborate scheme, "Should've gotten paid up front, Banner" he says to himself.
Then Natasha enters the room, revealing herself to him. "You know, for a man who's supposed to be avoiding stress, you picked a hell of a place to settle," she comments.
"Avoiding stress isn't the secret," says Bruce.
"Then, what is it? Yoga?" asks the widow.
He makes a comment, "You brought me to the edge of the city, smart," and he asks hesitantly, "I uh... assume the whole place is surrounded?"
She simply answers, "Just you and me."
They continue their exchange when she explains to Bruce that he is needed to find the Tesseract, but things a little intense when Bruce goes, "Stop lying to me!" as he slams his fists against the table, but his voice was a bit deeper.
She pulls out a pistol from underneath the table on instinct. He backs off and says, "I'm sorry, that was mean. I just wanted to see what you'd do. Why don't we do this the easy way, where you don't use that, and the other guy doesn't make a mess? Okay? Natasha..."
The agent, still wary, lowers her gun and she speaks into her earpiece, "Stand down. We're good here," informing the other agents and soldiers that are now surrounding the hut, armed to the teeth. Once they heard her, they lowered their weapons.
Bruce asks while smiling, "Just you and me?" while the woman is still watching him with wariness.
The scene cuts to analytical room. It was filled with a lot of big monitors with silhouettes of people on them, some of them are men and some of them are women. In the center was Fury, it was the council members of SHIELD.
"This is out of line, Director. You're dealing with forces you can't control," spoke one of the members.
"You ever been in a war, Councilman? In a firefight? Did you feel an overabundance of control?" asked Fury.
"You're saying that this Asgard has declared war on our planet?" asked the same councilman.
"Not Asgard, Loki," corrected Fury.
"He can't be working alone. What about the other one? His brother," questioned a councilwoman.
"Our intelligence says, Thor is not a hostile. But he's worlds away, we can't depend on him to help. It's up to us," answers Fury.
"Which is why you should be focusing on phase 2, it was designed for exactly..." spoke another council member.
"Phase 2 isn't ready, our enemy is. We need a response team," interrupted Fury.
The same council member who suggested phase 2 says, "The Avengers Initiative was shut down."
"This isn't about The Avengers," denied Fury.
"We're running the world's greatest covert security network and you're gonna leave the fate of human race to a handful of freaks," insulted the councilman, then he adds, "Especially when one of them refuses to reveal who she truly is."
"I'm not leaving anything to anyone. We need a response team. These people may be isolated, unbalanced even, but I believe with the right push they can be exactly what we need. Including the one who hides behind the mask," says Fury.
"You believe?" questions the councilwoman.
"War isn't won by sentiment, Director," says the first councilman.
"No, it's won by soldiers," says the Director confidently.
The scene cuts to a gym. It is occupied by one man only, it was Steve Rogers, aka Captain America. As he was punching one of the bags, he had memories going through his head. Most of his memories was him fighting off HYDRA members.
As he remembers, his punches grew harder and harsher as it was meant suppress the painful memories. Then he remembers when he went into the ice and when he was found by SHIELD. Back to the present, he gave one final powerful punch to the bag, and it went flying and sand spilled out.
He then grabbed another bag, and he hung it up, continuing his workout routine. Until "Trouble sleeping?" he turned and saw that it was Fury.
"I slept for seventy years, sir. I think I've had my fill," answers Steve like he was answering to a superior in the army.
"Then you should be out, celebrating, seeing the world," says Fury as he was approaching the soldier.
He stops punching and sits down on the nearby bench as he was unraveling the wraps on his fists, "I went under, the world was at war, I wake up, they say we won. They didn't say we lost," he says.
"We've made some mistakes along the way. Some very recently," says Fury. He hands him a file and explains the situation to the soldier. Then he asks him a question, " Is there anything you can tell us about the Tesseract that we ought to know now?"
Steve answers without missing a beat, "You should have left it in the ocean," as he left the gym while carrying his gym bag and another punching bag.
The scene cuts to the ocean that is next to New York with Iron Man cutting a pipeline and he replaces it with a Stark Energy Reactor. After it lights up, he flew out of the ocean and calls Pepper.
"You're good on this end. The rest is up to you," said Tony as he was flying across the city.
Pepper, on the other end of the line, asks, "You disconnected the transition lines? Are we off the grid?"
"Stark Tower is about to become a beacon of self-sustaining clean energy," answers Tony.
She then asks, "Wow. So maybe our reactor takes over, and it actually works?"
Tony answers, "I assume," then says, "Light her up." As he flew towards the Stark Tower, the building lights up and the Stark sign lights up as well.
Pepper asks, "How does it look?"
He answers, "Like Christmas, but with more... me."
"Gotta go wider on the public awareness campaign. You need to do some press. I'm in DC tomorrow. I'm working on the zoning for the next three buildings," explains Pepper.
"Pepper, you're killing me. Remember the moment? Enjoy the moment," said Tony, while groaning.
"Then get in here and I will," suggested Pepper. Tony lands on the deck of the building. Machines then started taking apart his suit piece by piece as he walks along the deck.
As they had their conversation between each other, Tony's phone goes off.
It was Coulson, "Stark, we need to talk."
Tony answers, "You have reached the life model decoy of Tony Stark, please leave a message."
"This is urgent," says Coulson.
"Then leave it urgently," as Stark says that the elevator doors open and he says, "Security breach!" and says to Pepper, "That's on you."
Screens appear of Captain America in action, the Hulk roaring as he attacks the army at Culver University, Thor fighting the Destroyer in New Mexico, and Spiderwoman fighting Monster Anton. Another is of Loki and the Tesseract.
Pepper points to the spider heroine, "Hey, I met her," she says.
Tony looks at her and asks, "Really? When?"
"Back at Stark Expo, she helped with the situation with Vanko," she answers, and he hums wondering who that person is behind the mask.
Then Pepper says, "I'm going to take the jet to DC tonight."
"Tomorrow," says Tony trying to convince her to stay.
"You've got homework. A lot of homework," says Pepper.
"Well, what if I didn't?" he asks.
"If you didn't?" repeats Pepper and Tony say "Yeah,"
"You mean if you finished?" she corrects and he nods, "Well then..." She whispers in his ear and he gasps while smiling. Coulson looks down in slight embarrassment, having a bit slight idea what she offered.
"Square deal, it's the last date," he says, agreeing to something.
She kisses him and says, "Work hard," and walks away. Then the agent and her leave, leaving him alone as he grabs the hologram tesseract in worry.
The scene cuts to a coffee shop in New York, music was playing quietly.
Gabriella was cleaning a couple machines, and she is dancing along with the music that was playing as she was singing along with the lyrics. She did some fancy moves as she was singing.
She was alone, and the shop was empty. Noticing she was alone; she turned the volume up a bit on her phone for fun. Until she heard a 'ding', coming from the front door.
She turned the volume down as she was about take the customer, she says, "I'll be right with you in a moment."
Fury says, "I'll need more than just a moment." She turned around in shock when she heard his voice. "Fury! What are you doing here?" she asks.
He gives her a file and tells her, "We got a bit of a situation that could only ask for Spiderwoman to help."
She took the file and looked, "So this 'Tesseract' was stolen? By whom?"
"He's called Loki," he answers.
She looked at him in confusion, "Loki? As in the Norse God of Mischief?" He nodded then she asks, "What does he want? Why would he take it?"
Fury answers simply, "He says that humanity needs to be free from freedom,"
"Well, he is going to have to go through Spiderwoman and if she is needed to save the world, the let's get moving," and she smiled.
He tells her, "Suit up, we'll be leaving in 10 minutes," she nodded, she went to the bathroom and summoned her suit.
"Hey Neith?" she calls for her goddess and she appear, "Do you know anything about the other gods outside of the Egyptian pantheon?" she asks.
Neith answers, "I don't know much, but I do know that his brother came to Earth last year and I do know that Asgard is another realm." Gabriella looks at her with a bit of a disbelief look.
"Thor was here? Why didn't you tell me? You know after some time with you, I enjoy learning more about the mythologies of the world," she says with a bit of a smile.
The goddess chuckles at that and says, "We better get moving or Fury will become furious," she jokes and that makes the spider heroine laugh.
She went out to meet with Fury and said, "We're going or what?" He nodded and they both left.
