It's been a couple of years since the battle of New York. Spiderwoman's popularity skyrocketed, to the point where the police cannot do anything about her. Whenever she is at a crime scene, people would always cheer her on.

So much has changed. She even met the Captain Officer, George Stacy. He knew that she has saved his daughter. So, in return, he gave her a police radio, to listen in on crimes that go around the city.

Now there is merch going around, like shirts, hats, and pajamas. She is also on cereal boxes and other food brands. And wait it gets better, she has her own theme song! She thinks it's catchy. They even made a popsicle after her, well, it's not that bad.

News goes on about her and saying how she is a hero, except for one.

"I tell you! She is a menace to society!" shouted a newsman, J. Jonah Jameson.

Meanwhile, Spiderwoman can be seen sitting on a pole eating a hotdog while watching him live on the boards in Times Square.

"Jeez, he doesn't stop does he?" she muttered.

"Well, not everyone is positive about superheroes," said Neith who is on a rooftop, only Spiderwoman can see and hear her.

"You're not wrong," said the hero.

Then she spots something, she sees a man who walks past a woman, then he grabs her purse causing a disturbance.

"Get your hands off!" yelled the woman. He managed to snatch it and run.

"Ugh, another purse snatcher... That's the third one this week," muttered Spiderwoman. Then she swings down and quickly webs the man's feet to the ground, stopping him in his tracks.

She then lands in front of him, "Seriously, man? That's not very nice of you," she quips and takes the purse out of his hands.

The woman who was robbed earlier runs up to her, "Oh, thank you Spiderwoman!" and she hugs her hero.

"Erm, n-no problem, ma'am," Spiderwoman awkwardly hugs back and she returned the purse.

Then people started clapping for her and cheering, "E-erm thank you..." said Spiderwoman a bit shyly as she is still not used to this kind of attention.

Then a couple of kids run up to her, they were all holding a homemade Spiderwoman poster together, one of kids is wearing a replica mask, and another had the t-shirt.

"Ms. Spiderwoman, can you sign our poster please?" asked one of the kids as they held up a pen.

"Sure, why not?" she answered as she grabbed the pen, then she asks, "Did you guys make this yourself?"

Another kid pipes up, "Yeah, took a lot of time, too!"

"Well, I'm really impressed, you guys are quite the artists," she complimented.

When she signs the poster, they all run off to their parents to show off.

Then Spiderwoman turns to the crowd, "Alright guys, did someone call the police, I need to get this guy in," as she points her thumb to the purse-snatcher.

Someone yelled, "I did!"

She gave a thumbs up and swings away to her next destination. Then she felt a vibration coming from her phone. She landed on a nearby rooftop and pulled out her phone.

A text is read from Natasha, "Hey, Spider, look down," and she looks down to see the redhead standing right next to a car. She was waving at the hero.

Spiderwoman smiles and jumps down to her.

"What's up?" she asked.

"Something came up and we need your help," answered Natasha.

"Again? Hold on, let me text dad," said Spiderwoman, she then texts her father, 'Hey, dad, probably won't be back till tomorrow, SHIELD needs my help... again...'

She got a reply instantly, 'Okay, then good luck and stay safe!'

She puts away her phone and says, "We're going?"

Natasha nods and then she noticed a silhouette in the car, she was going to asks Natasha, but she answered it, "We have one more with us."

"Ah, ok," said Spiderwoman.

When they start driving Spiderwoman wills the suit off since the windows are very tinted. She then notices the person in the passenger seat, it is Steve.

"Oh, hey old man," greeted Gabriella.

Steve sighed and said, "Hey."

Natasha laughed at Steve's nickname, ever since she met the captain, she's been calling him old man since then, for fun.

"Can't wait for another mission," said Gabriella, with a bit sarcasm.

Hours later, she is now in a quinjet in her suit with Steve, Natasha, and a group of SHIELD agents, alongside with Brock Rumlow. They were all flying over the Indian Ocean.

Rumlow informs, "The target is a mobile satellite launch platform: The Lemurian Star. They were sending up their last payload when pirates took them, 93 minutes ago."

Steve asks, "Any demands?"

Rumlow answers, "A billion and a half," and Spiderwoman whistles.

Steve asks, "Why so steep?"

"Because its SHIELD's," answered Rumlow.

"So, it's not off-course, it's trespassing," deduced Steve.

"I'm sure they have a good reason," said Natasha.

"A good reason to trespass?" asked Spiderwoman, confused.

Steve says, "You know, I'm getting a little tired of being Fury's janitor."

"Me too, and this is not even my job," said Spiderwoman, who is a bit annoyed.

Natasha says, "Relax you two, it's not that complicated."

"How many pirates?" asked Steve.

Rumlow answers, and hands him a tablet as it shows an image of the man who is leading the pirates, "Twenty-five, top mercs, led by this guy. Georges Batroc," he adds, "Ex-DGSE, Action Division. He's at the top of Interpol's Red Notice. Before the French demobilized him, he had thirty-six kill missions. This guy's got a rep for maximum casualties."

"Hostages?" asked Steve.

"Uh...mostly techs. One officer, Jasper Sitwell," answered Rumlow as he pulls up the image of the officer," he then adds, "They're in the galley."

Steve wonders for a moment, "What's Sitwell doing on a launch ship?" then he orders, "Alright, I'm gonna sweep the deck and find Batroc. Nat, you'll kill the engines and wait for instructions. Rumlow, you sweep aft, find the hostages, get them to the life-pods, get 'em out. Let's move."

"There he is again, good ol' man with the plan," quips Spiderwoman.

"STRIKE you heard the Cap. Gear up," ordered Rumlow.

As they were suiting up, Steve spoke into his wrist communicator, "Secure Channel 7."

"Seven secure," said Natasha, then she turned to Steve, "Did you do anything fun Saturday night?"

"Well, all the guys from my barbershop quartet are dead, so... No, not really," answered Steve.

Spiderwoman tells Steve, "That's... That's kind of sad man."

He chuckles at her comment.

"Coming up by the drop zone, Cap," voiced the pilot and Steve opens the ramp.

"You know, if you ask Kristen out, from Statistics, she'd probably say yes," suggested Natasha.

"That's why I don't ask," said Steve as he equips his shield and walks towards the edge of the ramp.

"Too shy or too scared?" asked Natasha.

"Too busy!" answered Steve, and he jumps out of the jet.

"Are you really set on getting him a date?" asked Spiderwoman as she walked to the edge.

Natasha answers simply, "Why not?"

"Fair," and she jumps out too, she decided to front flip down, following behind Steve.

Once they were both gone, an agent asks, "Were either of them wearing a parachute?"

"No. No, they weren't," answered Rumlow with a smile.

After Spiderwoman dived off the jet, she used the web gliders in her suit. She discovered this feature after the battle of New York, as she wanted to continue to explore her capabilities.

She got closer to the boat and sticks to the side of it.

Until she hears, "Bouge pas! Bouge pas!" (Don't move! Don't move!)

"Damn it, Steve," muttered Spiderwoman and she quickly climbs up the ship to help him.

She sees the man who was shooting, as she was about to attack him, he gets shot down by someone else. She looks up to see Rumlow who is parachuting down.

Steve says, "Thanks."

Rumlow says, "Yeah. You seemed pretty helpless without me." Spiderwoman snickers.

Natasha and another agent join them.

The woman asks Steve, "What about the nurse that lives across the hall from you? She seems kind of nice."

"Secure the engine room, then find me a date," said Steve as he tries to avoid the question.

"I'm multitasking," said Natasha as she walks away and she jumps down to the lower deck.

"I don't think she's gonna stop Cap," said Spiderwoman.

Meanwhile, below the deck, the pirates are holding the techs and Sitwell hostage.

One of the pirates starts, "J'ai dit à Batroc que si on veut que le SHIELD nous paye, commence à leur envoyer des corps maintenant!" (I said to Batroc, if we want SHIELD to pay, we have to start sending them bodies now!) Then he points his gun at one of the hostages and he shouts, "Une balle pour quelqu'un!" (I have a bullet for someone) He shouts again in English, "You want a bullet in your head?! T'en veux une. Hein! (Do you want one? Eh?). He kicks one of the hostage's legs, "Bouge ton pied. Tu veux une balle dans la tête?" (Move your leg. Want a bullet in your head?).

Back at the deck, Steve and Spiderwoman move to quickly to find the hostages, what they don't know was that Batroc is in the control room.

Batroc orders a pirate next to him, "J'aime pas attendre. Appelle Durand. Je veux que l'on s'arrache dès que la ranson arrive." (I do not like to wait. Call Durand. I want the ship ready to move when the ransom arrives).

The pirate complies, "Oui, Batroc." (Yes, Batroc), and he makes the call, "Durand. Démarre le moteur." (Durand. Start the engine.)

Durand, on the other end, he complies, "Okay."

He turns and sees Natasha.

"Hey sailor," she said and knocks him down. She attaches herself to a cable on the railing and she jumps over it, making her way lower, as she is going down, she shoots more pirates on the way.

She lands and moves closer to the last pirate and the hostages.

"Ferme ta gueule!" shouted the pirate to one of the hostages. (Shut up!) He shouts at them again, "Bouge pas toi! Mais qu'est ce qui se passe! Tu veux jouer les héros, c'est ça! T'as pas intérêt!" (You don't move! But what's this? Want to play hero, is that it? You'd better not!)

The techs stayed silent and kept their heads down.

Then the pirate had enough, "Bon, j'ai trop attendu là," he said. (Well, I've waited long enough). He goes over to the locked door and bangs on it, getting the attention of the guard outside, who is also a pirate, and says to him, "Hé, trouve Batroc, si j'ai pas de nouvelles dans deux minutes, je commence à les tuer!" (Hey, look for Batroc. If I do not hear anything in two minutes, I'll start to kill them!)

"D'accord. Je vais le chercher!" said the pirate outside, (Okay. I'll find him!)

As the pirate turns to leave, Rumlow, and a couple agents, who were standing behind the pirate, shoots him with a stun gun. On the other side of the door, the other pirate feels something is off, but he dismisses it.

"Deux minutes," muttered the pirate. (Two minutes.)

Back at Rumlow's side, a STRIKE agent plants a small bomb on the door, as Rumlow points his gun at the door. As they were preparing on their side, more STRIKE agents took their position around the ship.

In the control room, the pirate that is standing near Batroc reports, "Silence radio du SHIELD, Batroc." (Radio silence from SHIELD, Batroc.)

Steve and Spiderwoman watch them from the deck, and they hear a STRIKE agent call in, "Targets acquired."

Rumlow follows up, "STRIKE in position."

Then Steve speaks through, " Natasha, what's your status?"

Meanwhile, Natasha is fighting off the pirates below deck, in the engine room.

"Status, Natasha," said Steve.

"Hang on!" said Natasha, she took down the last pirate and reports, "Engine room, secure."

Back with pirates who are with the hostages, the same one who threatened them says, "Le temps est écoulé. Qui veut mourrir en premier. Vous. Procurez-vous celui-là." (Time's up. Who wants to die first? You. Get that one.)

Steve then says, "On my mark. Three, two, one," as Spiderwoman is clutching her spider daggers.

At the last second, the STRIKE agents shoot down the rest of the pirates, as the bomb blows the door open, and Rumow kills the head pirate.

Sitwell, who is sitting among the hostages, says, "I told you; SHIELD doesn't negotiate."

Back at the control room, the pirate tries to call for the others below deck, "Halo? Je pense que la ligne est morte.J'ai perdu le contact." (Hello? Batroc, the line is dead. I lost contact with them).

All of a sudden, Steve smashes through the window using his shield, and he is followed by Spiderwoman. However, Batroc manages to escape the two.

Rumlow reports, "Hostages en route to extraction. Romanoff missed the rendezvous point, Cap. Hostiles are still in play."

Steve orders, "Natasha, Batroc's on the move. Circle back to Rumlow and protect the hostages," but he got no response from her, "Natasha!"

"Maybe her comm is broken?" said Spiderwoman.

All of a sudden Batroc kicks down Steve and they both fight, the enemy is faring well against the super soldier. Then Steve pulls out his shield and Batroc halts the fight.

"Je croyais que tu étais plus qu'un bouclier," mocked Batroc. (I thought that you were more than just a shield).

Steve puts his shield back and removes his mask, revealing his face, "On va voir," he said. (Let's see).

The two looks at Spiderwoman for a moment and she says, "Il est tout à toi." (He's all yours).

They look back at each other and they fight, but Steve quickly turns the fight into his favor, performing several kicks. Then he does a downwards somersault, knocking him down. Batroc shakily stands back up, then Steve charges at him and smashes through the door behind him.

Spiderwoman's eyes widen and she runs to Steve, "Man, you got to teach me how to do that," she quipped.

Then they hear Natasha's voice, "Well, this is awkward."

The two look up to see her on one of the computers.

"What are you doing?" asked Steve, a bit angered.

"Backing up the hard drive. It's a good habit to get into," answered Natasha as she typed away.

"Rumlow needed your help. What the hell are you doing here?" he demanded.

They both go over to her, and he sees what she was backing up.

"You're saving SHIELD Intel," said Steve.

"Whatever I can get my hands on," said Natasha.

"Our mission is to rescue hostages," said Steve.

"Yeah, I didn't hear anything about backing up some drive," agreed Spiderwoman.

"No. That's your mission," said Natasha, like it was obvious, and she finishes whatever she was doing, "And you've both done it beautifully."

As she was about to walk away, Steve grabs her arm, "You just jeopardized this whole operation."

"I think that's overstating things," she said.

Then Spiderwoman's spider sense goes off, she looks to where Batroc is, or well, was as he stood up and threw a grenade at them and he runs off.

"Guys!" she shouted.

He sees it and deflects it with his shield, grabs Natasha and Spiderwoman and they jump out the window just before the grenade explodes.

"Okay. That one's on me," admitted Natasha.

"You're damn right/Ya think?" said both Steve and Spiderwoman at the same time.

He got up and ran through the door, to chase after Batroc.

She gets up too, "Hey wait up!"
