'Umar (Ra) narrates: I heard Rasúlullãh (saw) saying: Whoever humbles himself for the sake of Allãh, Allãh will exalt him; as a result of that he considers himself small, yet in the eyes of people he becomes great. But he who is arrogant, Allãh abases him; and he becomes small in the eyes of people, although he considers himself great to the extent that people consider him to be worse than a dog or a pig.
