Hajimes pov

I woke up to bright lights over my head. I blinked a couple of times in confusion. I turned my head to see white walls. Oh. I guess I'm in a hospital.

I tried to sit up only to be stopped by the sharp pain in my chest. I collapsed on the bed, hissing in pain.

"What are you doing hajime?" I looked up to see both fuyuhiko and Kazuichi's worried expressions.

"Guys" I tried to sit up again "I-"

"Sit down dumbass" fuyuhiko pushed me back down "you trying to injure yourself further!?"

"Injure?" I looked up weakly.

"Akane broke your ribs" kazuichi took my hand "we were all pretty worried about you. We thought you were more hurt than you were"

"Akane was a mess. She was trying to fight the bear to avenge you" fuyuhiko put the words avenge you in quotation marks "good thing nekumaru was there to talk some sense into her"

"I'm glad I was able to stop her" I smiled softly.

"You're such a good guy hajime. I hate that you had to get hurt" kazuichi teared up.

"Hey don't cry kazzy" I wiped his tears away "give me a smile. Things are alright now"

The boys fell silent. They shifted their gaze nervously "uh guys what's with the shifty eyes?" I gave them a worried look.

Fuyuhiko sighed "about that. Turns out that bastard monokuma found a new way to torture us. Three of our friends have gotten sick with the so called despair disease"
