Chapter 3
"BEEP! BEEP!" the crime alert sounded from the alarms Sly had installed when we first moved in. I quickly jumped out of bed and brushed my hair and teeth. I could hear Sly outside yelling "Come on! Let's move! Let's move!" and I was determined to be outside and ready before Sly reached my door. I pressed my thumb to my lighting shaped locket and it glowed, letting me know my armor was on and I put my hand out, ready to catch Mjolnir. My hammer flew to my hand, and I swung open my door with such force, I almost pulled off its hinges. Sly just sighed and said,
"Ready as always, Jess." I smirked and saluted before speaking again.
"Well, not everyone gets to suit up automatically," I said mockingly, "and not everyone is a morning person." Sly just groaned as Alex and Kayla stumbled out of their rooms, Kayla chuckling at the sight before her eyes. I'm the only threat to Sly's peaceful mornings. Well, that and Steven's pranks. Speaking of whom, Steven lumbered out of his room, still rubbing his tired eyes. Yep, definitely not a morning bird.
"I'm up," he managed to say before passing out on the floor. An arrow whizzed past our faces and planted itself in Steven's backside. Steven jolted upright, yelping. He pulled out the arrow and healed his wound before barreling after a not-so-innocent looking Castor. Jose and Pbat even managed to saunter out of their rooms too, so the only person missing was Katz. I smirked maliciously and said,
"I've got this," before I made my way over to his room. When I opened his door, I saw him laying on his charging table, cords connecting from the robot parts of his body to computers and electrical outlets. I raised my hammer and pointed at one of the cables, planting it with a tiny shock of lighting. When it reached him, a small spark appeared on the metal and he bolted upright yelling,
"JESS!" Laughter could be heard from the hall as I cackled maniacally and ran out of his room. Five seconds later, Katz stormed out of his room and glared at me. "How many time have I told you not to do that, it hurts!" he pouted.
"Get over it, we have bigger things to worry about," Sly said, pointing to the Future TV, name courtesy of Steven. On the screen was a scene of a bank robbery, people running around, scared out of their wits, and guns pointed aimlessly into the wild crowd. I groaned and was about to speak, but Pbat answered for me.
"Why does it have to be another bank robbery!" he said in frustration.
"That doesn't matter, now lets go!" Sly yelled.

After cleaning up the mess
I brushed my hands off on my shirt as Kayla and I watched the guys drag the culprits into a pile to tie up for the police when they came.
"Well that was easy," I said, leaning back on an invisible wall of air I had created and casually twirling Mjolnir.
"For you to say," Kayla panted, laying on the floor to catch her breath. I just chuckled and pulled her to her feet so she wouldn't cramp.
"Here, Lay against this," I said, offering my air wall. She looked at me, confused, until I put her hand against it, and understanding crossed her face. She nodded in response and she leaned against the current.
"So..." she started, unsure of what to say, "when's your next concert?" She had leaned over and whispered in my ear, making sure the guys couldn't hear our conversation.
"Tuesday," I said, not really thinking about it. Then it hit me. "Wait, TUESDAY?! THAT'S TOMORROW!" Kayla was just snickering next to me and the guys gave me odd looks.
"Uh, yeah," Jose said, "Tuesday is tomorrow." I started pacing. How was I going to manage to get through my first day of school, film a video for my YouTube channel, and make it to my biggest concert of the year? Then, Steven answered my prayers.
"Yeah, school just has to start tomorrow!" He said, his fist sentence laced with sarcasm, "At least it's only a half day!" I immediately calmed. I had a enough time to do what I needed. Alex cleared his throat, grabbing our attention. He didn't say anything, but he gestured to around the curb, where we could finally hear the police sirens wailing obnoxiously.
"Let's go," Katz said, and took off. Sly grabbed Pbat's extended hand as Alex took Castor's and Steven had Jose grab his shoulders. Kayla grabbed me around the waist and we all left the ground as the police pulled in, paying no attention to the nine figures in the sky. Jose had now wrapped his legs around Steven and held on for dear life, looking down and gulping every twenty seconds. When I looked down, I saw a child point at us and nudged his mother, who looked up with him, but discouraged the child by most likely saying she saw nothing. I shook it off and asked Sly what has been on my mind for a while.
"Sly," I said, "How long was the 'Future Screen' on before you set the alarm off?"His reply was barely audible.
"A minute," he said, not looking at anyone in particular.
"A minute? And how long did we have until the crime was committed?" Kayla asked, glaring at him, knowing it would be a very frustrating answer.
"Half an hour," he said, once again barely audible. Kayla yelled in frustration and let go of me with one hand, letting me know her wolverine claws were unleashed.
"Get me closer so I can rip his head off!" she growled, but I just laughed as we landed down on our lawn. Jose dropped onto the ground and laid on it, looking like he would never let it go, then, Katz brought back up the topic I was had just made peace with.
"So, tomorrow, we bought tickets to the Lady Phoenix concert, or Divine, which ever you prefer to call it,"he said, starting to give me a heart attack.
"Okay," I said, pushing him to go further. I hope they didn't buy me tickets, my concert admissions were shockingly expensive.
"But we figured you already had tickets with your friends, so we didn't buy you any, if that's okay with you," Steven said. Kayla stood behind me, beaming, and I sighed in relief.
"Yeah," I said, "thanks guys, for keeping that in mind." I walked away, ready to go to the secret room in my closet to film my YouTube mini game with Sky and his friends.

Post Filming
"Jess," Sky said, using my first middle name, "how come you don't have face cam?" 'Because you're afraid,' the voice said, but I knew I couldn't use that as an answer. Instead, I said,
"I don't have the equipment." This was true, but it is not like I can't get it.
"Oh," was all he said in reply. You could here Max yelling at Ross in the background, away from their mics. Something about a stupid pun? Sky broke me out of my thought. "Soooo," he said, "when's the next time you can record with us? I know school is starting soon, and people are busy, but when are you available?"
"I was planning on tomorrow, change of plans?" I asked. This was odd, Sky was usually available.
"Yeah," he said, " Barney got us tickets to the Divine concert, and we're super exited!" He became giddy when he said his last few words. The ruckus in the hallway had quieted down and I heard Ross come into Sky's office and yell "ROSSOME!" At the top of his lungs. I could see Sky cringing in my mind. "Well," he said, " talk to you on Wednesday?"
"Yeah, bye Sky," I said into the phone before hanging up. I sighed and shut off my computer with a wave of my hand. What, a girl can't have state of the art technology? I walked over to the door and pressed my thumb to the small Mjolnir symbol on it. It glowed a blue color and the wall slid over. On the other side, I stepped out into my large closet, turning around to watch my jewelry collection cover the hole. I smirked, and headed out of the closet, only to be met but the frantic shouts of the Few.
"Jess! Jess, where are you?" I heard Katz yell. I rushed out of my room and look for whoever was closest, who happened to be Pbat. He looked at me in shock.
"What is going on?" I asked. I was super confused. There wasn't another crime, was there?
"Bu- but- but I checked your room a thousand times!" he cried, throwing his hands up in exasperation. Normally, I would have smirked and congratulated myself on my cunning work, but this situation was really scaring me.
"Just tell me what is going on!" I yelled at him. His eyes widened and he pointed behind me before scampering off.
"JESSICA!" Sky yelled, his face red in anger, "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!" I winced at the loud noise in my ear.
"In my room," I said, hoping he would say he something to make my lie easier.
"We checked your room a thousand times, heck, I even remember Kayla going through your closet!" He said, calm down, but his voice was still dangerously on edge. I sighed knowing that this situation would only get worse.
"Come, I have something to show you."
