Terra walked up to the woman at the front desk. The woman smiled at her dispite the weather's slow decline into dreary greyness and gloom.

"Good afternoon Terra. How may I help you?" She asks kindly.

"You seem awfully giddy Sierra." She replies stolidly.

"Well I certainly should be! Taylor proposed to me last night!" Lara flaunts the ring in Terra's face as she dully Sierra at it, unintrested.

"Congrats."

"You're here for your brother aren't you? Brion's been moved to another room."

"Again?"

"Yes. He's now in room L030 on the 4th floor."

"Thanks Sierra."

"Hey," Sierra stops Terra as she heads for the elevator, using her hand to grab her shoulder. Terra shoots her a side glare that clearly states, "Don't touch me."

"Don't worry. I've heard that he's getting better."

"I've heard otherwise." Terra aggressively shakes her off and heads for the elevator.

Terra pushes the button marked with an up arrow and anxiously waits for the elevator to come down the multi-story building.

The pristine stainless steel doors slide open and she steps in.

The wall has 25 buttons lined up and down neatly in 3 rows.

She simply pressed 4 and waited for the doors to close.

Just then she heard the sound of footsteps breaking the indefinite silence of the hospital.

"Hey! Hold the elevator!" The doors started to close, and Terra looked at the 'open door' button and the 'close door' button directly next to it.

It appeared that she was going for the 'open door' button, but the door didn't open. It closed. She caught a glimpse of the man's face. It was clean shaven and very stereotypical for a man of his stature. Brown hair, suit, brief case, etcetera etcetera.

Terra heard him curse as the elevator went up the shaft.

"4th Floor." The elevator's feminine computer voice chimed.

Terra sighed and got off. She walked down the hall towards the patient's rooms.

K047...K048...K050...L001...ugh...why is this stupid hallway so long?

Terra walked down the hall staring at the signs on the walls.

As she walked through people looked at her and started saving and saying hello to her.

"Hey Terra."

"Afternoon Terra."

"How ya doin' Terra?"

She hated it. They were pittying her over her brother. Just shut up. She gave everyone side glares. The same one she gave Lara the secretary, except this one said, "Zip it or I punch your face."

L019...L020...L021...L022...why is this hallway so long?! She repeats to herself. L025...L026...L027...L028...L029...L030.

She stops at the door. It's closed. Only a few other doors in the hallway are closed. She knows they usually aren't.

She knocks.

No answer.

She knocks again. More forceful than the last.

Still nothing.

She knows she has to be quiet so she knocks again.

A nurse opens the door this time.

"Oh. It's you Terra. I thought you were supposed to come at 8." Terra pushes past her.

"Well I decided to come early Faith."

The room is rather small. It's a single bed room contrary to most of the other rooms on that floor. On the farthest side if the room, was a bed with a boy that looked a few years older than Terra. His redhead-hair was all messy, yet neat at the same time. He had at least 3 tubes that all connected to something. The heart monitor, the IV, and the gas mask. The noises of him breathing in and out made her uncomfortable.

There was a brunette standing next to the bed. She appeared to be in her early 40s. She turned around to talk to the nurse but saw Terra instead.

"Terra?" She looked suprised.

"Kylee? I thought you were in France." Terra was even more surprised to see her step-mother here. She was supposed to be studying abroad in France for the next 3 months.

"You think I wouldn't come back to see your brother?"

"No I didn't." Terra folded her arms. "We both know you don't really care about him."

"Terra!" The nurse exclaimed.

"Chill Faith. She hasn't even said anything." She had a smug look on her face. "Wasn't Dad supposed to be here Kylee?"

"Yes, but something came up. I was coming home anyway early to see him, so he asked me to take his place." Terra glared at her.

"Bull." She scoffed and brushed past her. Her arrogance was replaced by sadness as she saw her brother on the bed. Luckily his chest was still riding and falling at a steady pace. But the sound of the heart monitor was rather slow. The tempo of a ticking clock perhaps, counting down to some horrifying end.

And the anticipation is killing her.

Somehow a tear escaped from her eye. She quickly wiped it away and as a result, nobody noticed.

She remembered the day she and her brother were on a picnic. They were near a cliff but the view was beautiful.

"Hey Ter? You know those roundoff double back handsprings you did the other day? Did I get that right?"

"Yeah. You did. For once." She bit into the sandwich and looked back at him.

"Well I think I learned how to do it. Mom taught me."

"She did? What a way to leave the world. Teaching an unteachable child." She laughed at her little insult.

"Hey! You don't believe me? Fine! I'll show you." He got up from the blanket and moved what he thought was far enough away from the edge.

"Be careful you don't fall off, Brion."

"Have a little faith in me sis."

It was at that point he did it, but he landed in the edge of the cliff. He didn't realize it until he tried to take a step back. She had warned him.

Luckily he didn't land on rocks. He landed in the water. She ran down there to meet him and he had pulled himself out of the water by then. But the next day, he passed out during and he was taken to the hospital. Hasn't been out since.

That was almost a year ago. Lots of stuff can happen in a year. Exhibit A: Sophia came a month after the incident, which was a month after their mom died.

Ungrateful father. We had a mother. I didn't want another one, and Brion is going to be pissed when he wakes up. If he wakes up.

"Faith? When was the last time he woke up?"

"About an hour ago actually. Other than the constant puking he seems to be getting better."

"You lie. What's really been going on Faith?" Terra crossed her arms once more. Sophia, who was standing in a corner leaned up against the wall looked at Faith.

"Alright. He hasn't woken up since last Monday. The doctors think he fell into a coma."

"But it's Sunday..."  the nurse slowly nods.

"Have you found a way to get the money Terra?" Sophia asks.

"Yes. But like I told my dad. It will take some time. So stop asking." She ran out of the room and shut the door. She looked back at the door before she ran down the hallway to the elevator.

I have to do it now. I have to do it either today or tomorrow. Or else he's screwed. At least I was the one slamming the door in someone's face this time.

She went home to get her cargo jacket from her house and as soon as she stepped in she was unpleasantly greeted by her father.

"Terra? What are you doing out so late?" He asked. He had a certain lisp in his voice that made him sound drunk.

"Visiting your son. I'm only home for a minute. Don't wait up for me."

"Hold on young lady you don't get to leave unless hiccup! I say you can. This is my house. My rules."

"Great. You're drunk."

"No I'm not!"

"Just because you gambled half our money away to Bruce Wayne doesn't mean you get to slack off. I'm the only one in this family actually doing any work anymore. So leave me alone so I can get my jacket and leave you here with your whisky. You'd like that right? For me to leave?"

"What?"

"You didn't seem to care that mom did." She went upstairs and grabbed her coat. She 'accidentally' stepped on her father's foot and left.

I hate him. Running our famiky into the ground. Sophia doesn't deserve to be called a Markov. He doesn't either.

Finally it started to rain. The sky had been turning a darker shade of grey as the water in the clods became denser and the sun started to disappear. Any darker and the sky would have been pitch black. Darker than it usually is.

She zipped up the jacket and headed back to the appartment she got locked out from. It was late enough that they were all asleep.

The perfect time to act.

She took the note from the thugs out of her pocket.

Go to their door and act as suspicious as possible. The girl should sense somebody acting weird near the door and wake up to check it out. As soon as she does anything with the door, unlock it, open it, whatever, jump out and spray it in her face. You know what to do from there.

Terra stuffed it into her pocket again and she had to cross the street. She went without looking at the car coming full speed down the street.

She narrowly missed it and neither of them were none the wiser.

As she walked with her hood pulled up, trudging through the rain, she bared a striking resemblance to Raven.

She used the key that Gar gave her once again to enter the main building, walked up the stairs to the door, and hid by the side of it.

On the other side of the door, everyone was sleeping peacefully.

Dick was dreaming of Raven finally forgiving him.

Kori was dreaming of Raven having her memory back.

Vic was dreaming of Raven kicking Dick's butt in a fight.

Gar was dreaming of going on a legitimate date with Raven.

Raven was dreaming of her and her mother.

Everyone was was dreaming of Raven.

Not a thing stirred. That is until Raven's eyes opened.

She sat up in the bed and looked around.

"Ugh. What is this?" She holds her head.

She swings her legs over the side of the bed and puts on a shirt she found in the closet. She didn't care that it was a crop top. She ended up strolling out of the dark room in probably the simplest PJ's other than her birthday suit: Sports bra, crop top, leggings.

Having the eyes of a bat, she maneuvered through the dark living room with no problems.

She found the door knob easily and cracked open the door. But not before grabbing a fork off the table next to her.

She never expected the suprised that awaited her in the other side of that door.

A girl in a cargo jacket that was unbeknownst to her, sprayed her face with a light green substance in a very small, pocket-sized, spray bottle.

"Agh!" Raven jabbed the fork in her general direction and she ended up stabbing the girl in the shoulder. Raven then fell to the floor.

Terra pulled the fork from her shoulder and dropped it on the ground of the appartment. The carpet muffled it's otherwise loud sound.

She kneeled down and held Raven's unconscious hand in the air, then put two fingers to the gem on her forehead.

"What were the words? Oh yeah. Hope this works. Azerath Metrion Zinthos." Raven's hand glowed and the two were teleported out of the living room.

I did it... I really kidnapped someone... This us for you Brion. It's all for you.
