Chapter 3

Everyone was swaying to the talented five's incredible music, cheering wildly as the singers Adam Swaine, Peter McDale, Greyson Swift, Nixon Applebottom, and (my personal favorite...) Mykelo Fox sang their hearts out harmonically, dancing in perfect rhythm. I squealed and clapped the whole way through, until their second song faded out. As their third song started to whip through the air, and girls in the audience cheered for them, I noticed the air seemed to grow a bit colder... Well that was odd... I shuddered as goosebumps budded on my skin when the chill seemed to wrap around me like a blanket of snow. Why was it so cold all of a sudden...? Looking around, nobody around me seemed to notice a thing... Maybe it was just me...

Was I under a vent? I didn't see anything...

However, as I stared back at the performance, though they still sang and danced, the five gave collective glances towards each other and seemed to be a bit taken aback by it. Surely they weren't that worked up over the temperature, right...?

Their expressions seemed to grow a bit anxious for a split second until their wild grins grew back, and they continued to entertain the crowd. I blinked. Was I the only one who noticed this...?

Deciding to let it go, I continued to just clap for my idols. Things seemed to go fine from there until I heard a strange creak from the roof.

Again, I felt as though no one else noticed. I stared up at the stadium ceiling and listen for the noise again.

Creeaaaaak!

It squeaked again and I frowned. That same noise... As if something heavy was moving across the top of the building.

Huh...?

This was so strange...

I shook my head clear. I was NOT going to let some strange happenings effect my first concert of my IDOLS. I decided to ignore it. After all, I could never let the perfect day be ruined by a little thudding!

Things were fine for only a few more seconds before the thudding was intense. Within seconds, the ceiling split. Reluctantly, I looked up at the roof with the other girls who noticed, and my violet eyes grew wide. What in the...?!

My eyes fell on the large crack, and moments later a huge, flabby figure broke through it, landing only a few rows down from my own, missing me by about two yards.

My breath caught and I found that I couldn't move, only able to watch in shock as a huge, slug-like creature rose to its full height, releasing an ear splitting roar. Everyone around me shrieked and ran for their lives, the soundtrack screeching to a halt, the stars ceasing their singing. I had little space to take in my surroundings, finding that I was unable to move, frozen in terror. I tried to get my legs to run, but they wouldn't budge.

The beast let out another bleat, the power of it almost knocking over many screaming girls in its path.

My eyes stayed open wide and I gawked at the sight, seeing the five stars jump off the stage out of the corner of my eye.

What on earth...?!

Boys, no! I can't lose you to this fiend! Please stop!

But of course, they didn't hear me, because my jaw wouldn't lower, and my voice was nowhere to be found. Thoughts crashed rapidly around my head like a dozen ping pong balls and I could hardly move enough to take in each breath.

Someone help...!

I watched in surprise as the five idols ran towards the monster, still carrying their instruments. (All except Mykelo, who only sang and danced, unable to play any instrument.)

If I wasn't stiff, I would've dropped my jaw in shock. What were they doing?!

Charging at the beast, each of them began to play harmonic notes on their instruments (Mykelo hitting a note with his voice in perfect harmony).

My eyes widened even farther than before (if that was even possible) and I watched in fascination. Incredible...

How was this possible..?!
