The others are worried about the lack of traders getting through to berk so we were flying to see what was the problem and hiccup handed me some goggles and i put them on and hiccup says" alright once everybody has the goggles on we'll dive in" i nod then i saw toothless close his wings and he goes into a dive and i follow on Winter and once we hit the water i let go and i use my tail to help me to the bottom as my gills opened up, allowing me to breathe temporairly/ pffff bad pun i know/ i see a massive dragon that i knew to be the Submarripper. I saw hiccup and the others still swimming toward it so i grab onto Winter and i stop them and i motion for the surface urgently, thankfully they got the message and shot for the surface and i followed, holding my breath as the gills closed upon exit and i say the best i can" massive dragon.... chained..... sucking in boats" hiccup asked" what kind of dragon can suck in a boat?" I sigh and i pull out my dragon notebook and i show him the submarripper page and i point to it. " we have to help it, but how?" I shrug and say slowly" we'll figure... out we ....always... do" he nods smiling and we turn and fly back to berk. A couple hours later i see hiccup working on something to help him dive deeper, and i had volentered to help with the testing, so i was sitting nearby when the twins came running. I perk up and points to the twins and hiccup looks up and they explain how changewing acid could break the chains in the water and truthfully it made sense, since it was denser than water so it sinks. Anyways we recieved a terror that the backup riders were going to get the last of the food from Storehouse Island, i stood and hopped on Winter who jumps on the Diving Bell grabbing onto the chain. Hiccup seemed to get the message and helps us load it onto the boat and i set sail opening it and tying it off with ease and i use a singular rope to keep the sail in place with the wind and we stop near where the dragon is and i hop into the bell getting myself ready mentally as i spread my wings and let my tail lay on the metal beam with the acid next to me, 5 bottles in all, one on my belt and the other 4 next to me and it lowers into the water and i keep an eye on the structure around me making sure it was secure and i felt it hit the bottom and i pull the chain once, signalling my safety to the bottom. I take in a deep breathe and i dive in letting my wings push me along the water as i quickly reach the chain and i pull out the cork and i pour the acid on the chain and it breaks so i swim back and without surfacing i pull the chain once more and i switch the bottles and i repeat this a few times till i notice rocks sinking to the bottom and i quickly surface just enough for the pressure in my lungs to release then i go back under again and i cut the last chain and the Submarripper woke up and started making a typhon all around me and i flap my wings hard as i get myself inside the bell and yank on the chain frantically and i feel it start to be pulled up. I gasp in air quickly and i keep an eye on the water below me when i suddenly hear the chain snap and i quickly try to get out but the sudden motion causes me to hang onto the beam instead and i see sand instead of air or water and i realize that the beams holding me up must have broken under the force and i have no way out. I do my best not to panic as i try pulling it up but it was in vain and i see a leak burst in the glass, great i have to keep trying, i jump to the top and i try to push it upward in vain and as the water almost fills the bell i take in a deep breathe and i force it up with my shoulder and i manage to get my hand under, perfect timing as i see the submarripper grab the bell in its jaws as i grab the chain and hang on with all my remaining strength and i see wood planks below me and the water rushes out, allowing me to breathe again as air filters in and i can hear the others scrambling outside and i wait, closing and hiding my wings and tail. They don't need to know about that yet, i thought as hiccup climbs in and he helps me stand and toothless pulls the metal aside to make sure i don't cut myself on it as i climb out my body shuddering from the cold and recovery from the near panic i had and i manage to pull together a few words" nearly drowned, could not free myself, but dragon is free" before my knees fully give out and the world goes black.
