After Mary calmed down she would always try to say sorry but she had to much pride to do that.Now,Mary had so many arguments with her family members so it wasn't a strange thing when she told her mom to back off.She would always tell herself that because of her birth she was the problem for her family suffering and going to through all the problems that they could ever possibly go through.

               "Mom.....I'm sorry.I know I shouldn't act the way I......you know what I mean"she finally sucked up her pride and came out of her hollow shell.

                 "It's okay sweetie.I didn't have any friends either,"she was crying and trying to stop her tears from cascading down her face with a tissue."my life was horrible and not one soul wanted to be my friend until i changed.My only friend was my neighbor,Sussy and she was the one who helped me to change my appearance.I only asked for her help because she was the most popular girl in school and each and every person loved her.She felt sympathy for me"

Mary wanted to know what did she mean by "change".Her mom eventually told her that she had change her appearance and her attitude.Instead of going to people to be friends with she would let them come to her.Mary knew that she had to change her appearance so she decided to fix her hair in a different style,wore different clothes and a little make-up.Her friend Tracey came over to help Mary and her mom to help Mary look more like a teenager and not like a "DUFF"(dumb ugly fat friend) even though Mary had a well slender body.

After they got clothes and make-up and everything for Mary she was ready to go back out to school on Monday to show off her new looks to everyone hoping they would accept her in their lives.
