"Zeus" I whispered shakily, nervously grasping at my walking stick to stand up. Ian rested his arm over my back sleepily, stirring as I stood.

"Honey, stay off your leg" He murmured sleepily, opening his eyes. Zeus turned his head and growled softly.

"Zeus, is it a dinosaur?" He shook his head and turned his attention back to the people below. "No biting" I reminded gently "Unless you have to"

"What's going on?" Ian asked, alarmed.

"T-There's something out there" I whimpered softly.

"Lay down, it's okay, everything will be okay. Just rest" He forced his voice to sound calm. Zeus' tail wrapped around me suddenly as he brought me to stand on his head. A group of men gathered below, all armed to the teeth and murmuring to one another. Ian attempted to get up.

"Zeus" I nodded backwards. Zeus forced him to lay back down with his powerful tail, growling lowly. "Attaboy"

"Dad, what's going on?" Kelly yawned, raising her head slowly.

"It's alright angel, go back to sleep" He rubbed her back and kissed her forehead as she held his hand, resting her head back down. I stared out into the hammering rain, watching the men as they studied where I lived.

"Maybe we should go into the cave!" One yelled. I shot a glance back to the cave where all three visitors were awake and panicked.

"I'll handle this. Zeus, protect them" I whispered, jumping of the cave onto a nearby rock. I slipped, fell and my walking stick snapped, causing me to hurl into the ground. Agony seared through my body, and the men gathered around. Staring down at me, one poked me with the end of their gun. Trembling, I glanced back up at them to met by smirks instead of concerned glances.

Ian's POV

"That was definitely her falling Ian!!" Sarah cried out. Zeus roared very softly, warning me. "You have to go get her, we don't know who they are or what they'll do to her!!"

"I am" I fought all the agony to get up, but could barely move. Suddenly Kelly whispered tearfully

"Save her Dad."

"I will honey, I promise" I whispered. Suddenly, Zeus grabbed me with his tail and lowered me very quickly outside before anyone noticed his tail.

"Just a weak little girl, aren't you?" One man jeered, mockingly using his foot to turn her over. She was covered in blood from the fall, and all she did was wheeze softly in pain.

"What are you doing here?" Another demanded, grabbing her chin forcefully. When she didn't answer, he hissed "pathetic" and released her head, which she allowed to drop into the mud.

"Leave her alone!!" I suddenly yelled, fuelled by rage.

'Go. They're dangerous' She mouthed. I shook my head and limped towards them.

"Get away from her, bastards!" I yelled. I wouldn't let them see me wince, never would I let them hurt anyone either. One of them proceeded towards me, cocky as any other, and swung a wild punch. I dodged it barely and kicked his knee, causing him to fall, and kneed him in the face. I fought the pain as I hobbled towards them to rescue Hannah, who lay curled in a ball on the ground, barely conscious and sinking into the mud, increasing by the amount of heavily cascading rain. They all turned their attention to me, realizing I was too weak and began to move towards me.

"I-Ian, run!" Sarah yelled.

"There's more up there!" One man yelled. Aggravated, I tripped him over and watched him fall into the mud, making my dash for her. I crashed into the ground beside her and sat up, holding her protectively in my arms as they all closed in. Obviously, Zeus had enough by that point...

Hannah's POV

The roar of Zeus struck paralyzing fear as he stepped out of the cave slowly, all teeth bared. His head raised and he let out his roar, his tail thrashing to knock the men surrounding us away. As he swung his head to bite one, I yelped

"Z-Zeus! No! You're better than that!"

He snarled but backed away, and all the men scattered, screaming and running for their lives. I had fought the temptation to pass out, but couldn't hold any longer. My head slumped and I fell against Ian's shoulder, out cold, the last thing I remembered was Zeus' strong tail wrapping around us both, and the distant footsteps of a challenging T-Rex.
