Epilogue

Okay guys ... Here it is: The happy ending for Tellison we've all been waiting for since I started this journey two years ago (wow - say WHAT?) I can't believe it, but I'm actually really pleased with this ending - I honestly didn't think I would be. Let me know what you guys think in the comments and with your votes. You guys mean the absolute world to me and thank you all so much for loving this story as much as I do!

"Love, slow down," Ellison called after Calla, her heels clicking fiercely across the pavement of King's Cross Station as she trailed after her oldest daughter.

"Come on mum!" She called back. Frieda, Calla's brown barn owl who sat atop the trolley, hooted in annoyance as her metal cage clanked and clattered with each stride Calla took.

"Yeah! Come on mum!" Ella called, motioning for Ellison to pick up the pace before turning and running towards her sister.

"I suppose we better get a move on then," A deep voice sounded against her ear as a hand intertwined with her own. She looked up, her eyes locking with Tom's. He smiled down at her, giving her hand a gentle squeeze.

"I suppose we better," She replied, returning his smile.

The pair walked hand in hand down the platform until they reached the familiar brick wall that divided platforms nine and ten. Calla and Ella stood in front of the wall, the look of excitement that had been plastered across their faces moments before now one of nervous uncertainty. Giving Tom's hand one last squeeze, she let go, approaching the pair.

"You know," She began, placing a hand on Calla's shoulder. "I was nervous too my first time going through." Running a hand through Calla's curls, she tousled them gently. "Its best to take it at a run if you're anxious," She added, giving her a reassuring smile. Calla nodded slowly, tearing her eyes away from the faded brick to look at her mother.

"Ooh! I want to go with Tom," Ella called, leaping up and down, her previous excitement having returned. Ellison chuckled, glancing from Ella to Tom, who was grinning down at the curly headed, little girl who had grabbed his hand and was now tugging him towards the wall.

"See you on the other side," He smirked before scooping Ella up and placing her on his shoulders, the pair disappearing through the brick.

"Come on," Ellison smiled, grasping one of Calla's hands. Lacing her fingers over Calla's, she placed both their hands on the handle of the trolley. "Together."

Calla nodded, giving her a nervous smile before placing her other hand on the opposite side of the handlebar.

"1 ... 2 ... 3," Ellison counted out loud; and they were off, the last remnants of King's Cross Station evaporating as Platform 9 ¾ materialized into view. Ellison looked around the platform. It had been so long since she had ventured through the wall, into Platform 9 ¾. Her eyes trailed down the bright red cars of the Hogwarts Express, the billowing clouds of stream from its engine eclipsing the bright, blue sky.

"We better keep moving," Tom's voice called, breaking the spell the familiar scene had placed on her. "Don't want to miss the train," He added, grasping her hand, Ella holding tightly onto his opposite one.

"Of course," She nodded, allowing Tom to lead all four of them down the crowded platform, only letting go of his hand once they had finally reached a free compartment. "Well," She said, crouching down and grasping Calla by the shoulders, holding her out at arm's length to give her one last inspection. "I suppose this is where we say goodbye."

Calla smiled, pulling Ellison's hands away, holding them firmly within her own. "I love you mum."

"I love you too sweetheart," Ellison replied, reaching up, cupping Calla's cheek with her hand. "I'm so proud of you ... and I know your father would be just as proud if he were here," She added, pulling her into a tight embrace. Calla squeezed her back, letting go only when Ellison finally broke the hug.

"Don't miss me too much," Ella said with a grin.

"I'll try not to," Calla replied, rolling her eyes playfully as Ella's arms wrapped around her neck. The two hugged briefly, before letting go, Calla's attentions turning to Tom now.

"Be sure to write your mum once you get settled," Tom said, smirking down at her, tucking a stray curl behind her ear. Wrapping her arms around his waist, Calla hugged him tightly. Ellison smiled, fighting back the urge to laugh at the stunned look of surprise now plastered across Tom's face. Unsure of exactly what to do, he paused, placing a hesitant hand on her shoulder before looping it around her, returning the embrace.

Suddenly, the train whistle sounded, signaling the last call for passengers. Calla quickly let go and began gathering up her trunk and Frieda's cage. With one last peck on the cheek, and squeeze of the hand, Ellison watched as her daughter boarded the train, disappearing into a compartment, the train door closing behind her. After a moment, the train's whistle sounded again, its wheels squealing as the red steam engine began to heave forward.

"She's going to be brilliant," Tom's voice sounded against her ear once again. "Just like her mother," He added, slipping an arm around her waist. Minutes passed as they stood there, watching the train grow smaller and smaller until, finally, it disappeared completely over the horizon. "Come on," Tom said, pulling her closer against him, his other hand intertwined with Ella's. "Let's go home."

Eeeek! Is anyone else as excited as I am about that last line?? It makes me so happy every time I read it! Again, I would love your feedback, and also if you'd like to see a third book! I'm highly considering it, and honestly already have some ideas for plot floating around in my head. With that being said though, I want to focus a bit more time on some projects I've already started but have either put on hold or haven't published at all (btw, you should totally check those out too). SO, I probably won't be publishing a third installment until I've written enough to supply you guys with plenty of updates while I continue to work on my other stories. Have no fear though, just because there's nothing published within the next month or two doesn't mean I'm not busy cooking something up/stockpiling chapters! When I do finally get enough written prepare yourselves' for timely updates (I know, that sounds crazy coming from me, doesn't it?) Thank you guys again for all your love and constant support. You are truly the best fans a girl could ask for!
