The weird one
Luna's point of view
I ran. My paws digging into the ground, kicking up the soil. I watched as a smaller, much more delicious creature running in front of me, occasionally kinking dirt into my eyes. I sped up, causing me to get closer to the white creature as the tension in my legs grew. I then lunged forward and grabbed the creatures back. I dug my teeth into its flesh as it struggled to break free. I shook it in my mouth in such a vicious way that it snapped the creatures neck and it fell limp. I'm glad the humans are isolated. That has given us time to evolve. I remember my mother telling me that there was a time where wolves couldn't catch these creatures called rabbits. We were much too slow and they were too agile. There was no way back then that we could catch those pesky rabbits. But now, oh now...
"Hey Luna!" A male voice called. I looked over, rabbit still in my mouth, to see an orange lengthy creature with black stripes, "You're gonna lemme have a piece of that are you?"
"Of course Jaw!" I said as I ripped the rabbit in half, "But I call the bottom half!"
"Hey I thought you would be nice enough to give me, the juicy part," Jaw said.
"Alright stop," I said as I bit down into my half. Jaw looked at me with a smirk on his face before biting down into the rabbit.
When I finished I decided that I would go and wash the taste down with some water from the stream nearby. I glanced at Jaw who was picking at the bones. I rolled my eyes as I walked over towards the stream. I lapped up the water when I heard the sound of something falling into the bushes. I thought nothing of it for it was probably a bird.
"Hey Luna!" Jaw roared, "Take a look at this!"
"Coming!" I replied as I ran towards the area where he was at. He was looking at a strange creature who was unconscious on the ground. It looked female and had brown fur coming from her head. The rest of her body had no fur except for a small area above her eyes. She had no tail but had this weird thing that covered her body and legs. The thing covering her body was white and didn't cover her front legs. The thing covering her back legs was black and looked like it connected to these weird black things that covered her feet. It was like clothing of some sort but the only creature to wear clothing were humans.
"Is this a female human?" I asked.
"Yes and she fell from the sky," Jaw replied.
"How is that even possible?" I questioned with disbelief.
"I-I don't know," he replied, "She's moving,"
I then looked and saw her begin to get up. She looked up at us and immediately looked frightened. She began to back away and we walked closer. I don't know why she's afraid for she has nothing to be afraid of if you ask me.
"Who are you?" I asked with curiosity.
"Y-you speak?" She asked, turning her attention towards me.
"Uhh doesn't everyone?" I asked.
"Back then animals didn't speak," she replied as she turned towards Jaw, "Heeeyyy, I've seen you before. You are in every single one of my dreams. The wolf is in most of them now that I think about it."
"Okay," Jaw said nervously, "Anyways, what's your name?"
"Keira."
"I'm Jaw and the wolf is Luna," Jaw said in a friendly voice.
"Jaw before we get all friendly with this human, we have to know where she came from, why she's here, and if she wants to kill us or not," I said stepping in front of him.
"Oh Luna don't be like that. Listen, you are my friend and you can trust me. I trust this human. She doesn't look like a threat," he reassured as he turned towards Keira, "Now where fid you come from?"
"This real stupid and abusive place where I am basically controlled. My mother helped me escape but in doing so, she was arrested and may even face the death penalty," she said.
"Oh," I said as I felt sorry for her.
"You have any questions?" Jaw asked.
"Just one," Keira said, "Are you two a thing?"
I looked at her like she was crazy. Like seriously, out of all the questions she could've asked she asked if we were a thing!
"Hell no!" I barked while Jaw smirked at me.
"We should be," Jaw said causing Keira to giggle while I glared at him.
"Alright stop. Just stop," I said, "We are not here to discuss whether we should be together and create fan fictions. No. We are here to help this young human save her mother and then they can live the anarchy way. Not in a dictatorship."
They looked at me like I was crazy as I began walking away. I don't want to have to help this human but I have to. Besides, once this is all over with she'll be gone. Right?
