Smith, Hughes-Tyler and Jones

It was supposed to be another day of training for Martha Jones until she meets a peculiar patient and his curious fiancée. Now they're on the Moon with Judoon and a blood-sucking old lady whose wanted for murder.

***

"What can happen on an average beautiful day? You never know. Celebrate seasonal changes. It's hot for brothers. On a beautiful sunshiny day." Martha Jones wandered down the street, on her way to work, listening to her phone radio.

Before she could listen to the rest of the song, her phone began to ring. On the other side was her sister, a wannabe businesswoman. "You're up early. What's happening?"

"It's a nightmare because Dad won't listen, and I'm telling you, Mum is going mental. Swear to God, Martha, this is epic. You've got to get in there and stop him." Tish pleaded.

"How do I do that?" She queried.

"Tell him he can't bring her." Her sister responded.

However, before she could reply, another person was trying to call her. "Hold on, that's Leo. I'll call you back."

She hung up on Tish and answered her brother's call. "Martha, If Mum and Dad start to kick off, tell them I don't even want a party. I didn't even ask for one. They can always give me the money instead."

"Yeah, but why do I have to tell them? Why can't you?" Before she could say anymore, her mother called next. "Hold on, that's Mum. I'll call you back."

Martha answered, listening to what she had to say. "I don't mind your father making a fool of himself in private, but this is Leo's 21st, everyone is going to be there, and the entire family is going to look ridiculous."

"Mum, it's a party. I can't stop Dad from bringing his girlfriend." She said before receiving yet another call. "Hold on, that's Dad, I'll call you back."

She knew, from the most discussed topic of today, that he was going to say the same thing. "Martha? Now, tell your mother, Leo is my son, and I'm paying for half that party. I'm entitled to bring who I like."

"I know, but think what it's going to look like for Mum if you're standing there with Annalise."

"What's wrong with Annalise?"

"Is that Martha?" Another voice said on the line, one belonging to the girl who stole her father. "Say hi. Hi, Martha, hi!"

"Hi, Annalise!" Martha sarcastically squealed.

"Big kiss, lots of love, see you at the party, babe." She grimaced, already annoyed with her. "Now, take me shopping, big boy."

Finally, there was no one left in her family to call her, allowing her to be at peace for once. Unexpectedly, a tall man in a suit and a girl with ginger hair wandered up to Martha hand-in-hand, stopping her in the middle of the street.

"Like so." He removed his tie to her bewilderment. "See?"

Then he walked away, leaving only her and the other girl that was with him. "Sorry, you know how he is with social situations. See you later!"

In an instant, they were gone and the strange moment had passed. Martha simply dismissed it, chuckling to herself as she headed to the Royal Hope Hospital where she worked.

When walking in, a figure dressed in all leather with a motorcycle helmet barged past her. "Oi! Watch, it mate."

They turned to face her, staring soullessly before eventually marching on. Could this morning get any more unexpected?

***

Willow was grabbing some coffee from a machine, it certainly kept her active. The Doctor and her had been here the whole night, working undercover. He pretended to be a patient whilst she was "the worried fiancée that wouldn't leave his side".

Since Christmas, they had worked to distract themselves from the tragedy that had befallen them last year by solving strange mysteries and alien abnormalities. It was all good to pass the time, even though Willow's mind was constantly on other things. She spent more time swimming and reading in the library than being with him.

For the Doctor, it was easy for him. Companions of his would only be around for a couple of years until they moved on or died a terrible death. He frequently found himself moving on whilst remembering the impact they had on his many lives.

But when you've spent so many years with the people you love, how are you meant to deal with them not being around anymore?

Willow made a vow; she wouldn't love anyone else, except her fiancé of course. Her heart would be closed off to any more attachments. It was better that way.

As she filled up her cup, her hand brushed over the machine. To her surprise, she was shocked by some kind of electricity. It was only for a split second and could easily be dismissed for static electricity, but it felt nothing of the sort.

There was definitely something going on in this hospital.

***

In the orthopaedic ward, the Doctor laid in the uncomfortable hospital bed as Mr Stoker and the doctors in training appeared to assess his condition for themselves.

Mr Stoker pushed back the curtain surrounding his bed, revealing him to the doctors. Martha was stunned to see him, yet also wasn't surprised. "Now then, Mister Smith, a very good morning to you. How are you today?"

"Oh, not so bad. Still a bit, you know, blah." He responded.

"John Smith, admitted yesterday with severe abdominal pains. According to his fiancée, these pains happened frequently but these were the worst." He explained as Willow strolled up from behind.

"Oh, excuse me. Just nipped out for some coffee." She said, sitting down beside the Doctor. Upon recognising the array of doctors, she couldn't help to be slightly concerned. "Is there something wrong?"

"Oh, no, Miss Hughes-Tyler. I'm just allowing the trainees to assess some of our patients today." Mr Stoker told her. "Jones, why don't you see what you can find? Amaze me."

She leaned over, preparing her stethoscope. "That wasn't very clever, running around outside, was it?"

"Sorry?"

"On Chancellor Street this morning? You two came up to me and you took your tie off. Then you apologised for him." She informed them.

Willow almost choked on her coffee. "What?"

"Really? What did I do that for?" He wondered.

She shrugged. "I don't know, you just did."

"Not me. I was here, in bed. Ask the nurses." The Doctor stated.

"Yeah, I've been in this hospital all day. Sadly..." Willow added, sipping on her coffee once again.

Martha straightened up, bewildered. "Well, that's weird, cause it looked like you. Have you got a brother or a sister?"

Willow shook her head as the Doctor said. "No, not anymore. Just me."

"As time passes and I grow ever more infirm and weary, Miss Jones." Mr Stoker affirmed, growing increasingly annoyed.

"Sorry. Right." She leaned over his body once again, using the stethoscope on his chest. For a moment, everything sounded normal. He had a regular heartbeat until she moved the stethoscope a little, unexpectedly hearing another simultaneous heartbeat alongside.

Her eyes widened, the Doctor winking at her whilst Willow kept drinking her coffee in awkwardness.

Mr Stoker rolled his eyes. "I weep for future generations. Are you having trouble locating the heart, Miss Jones?"

She backed away, unsure of herself. "Er, I don't know. Stomach cramps?"

"That is a symptom, not a diagnosis. And you rather failed basic techniques by not consulting first with the patient's chart."

Just as he lifted the clipboard from the hospital bed, a shock of electricity caused him to drop it. "That happened to me this morning."

"I had the same thing on the door handle." Another trainee commented.

"And me, on the lift." Another added.

"Happened to me when I was making coffee," confessed Willow.

However, Mr Stoker decided to brush it off. "That's only to be expected. There's a thunderstorm moving in and lightning is a form of static electricity, as was first proven by. Anyone?"

"Benjamin Franklin." The Doctor answered.

"Correct."

To Willow's dismay, he continued. "My mate, Ben. That was a day and a half. I got rope burns off that kite, and then I got soaked.."

Mr Stoker raised his eyebrows. "Quite."

"And then I got electrocuted!"

Willow choked on her coffee again, putting it down. "Oh, um, he goes a bit loopy when he's on pain medication. His humour gets a bit... odd."

Mr Stoker sighed understandably. "Moving on."

As he led the group to the next patient, Martha glanced back at the Doctor. They both exchanged grins for a moment, creating a small friendship between the two.

On the other hand, Willow purely concentrated on the task at hand. "We need to do some snooping. Those little electric shocks have something to do with this."

"She seems nice."

Willow huffed. "You think everyone's nice until they point a gun at your head."

***

As Martha's friend was making coffee, she was on the phone with Tish again. "No, listen, I've worked out a plan. We tell Annelise that the buffet tonight is one hundred per cent carbohydrate, and she won't turn up."

"I wish you'd take this seriously. That's our inheritance she's spending, on fake tan. Tell you what, I'm not that far away, I'll drop by for a sandwich and we can draw up a battle plan."

Martha glanced at the window, acknowledging the heavy rainfall outside. "In this weather? I'm not going out. It's pouring down."

"It's not raining here." She paused for a moment. "That's weird. It's raining right on top of you, I can see it, but it's dry where I am."

"Well, you just got lucky."

"No, but it's like in cartoons. You know, when a man's got a cloud over his head." She referenced.

"Yeah, but listen..." She stopped, noticing the Doctor in the corridor. He was out of bed in his dressing-gown, staring at her. Then he walked away, leaving her in awe. "We tell Dad and Annalise to get there early, about seven-thirty, and we tell Leo to get there at the same time so we can do all that birthday stuff. We tell Mum to get there for about eight thirty-nine, and that gives me time to have a word with Annalise, and..."

Her friend touched her arm, glaring at the window in confusion. "What?"

"The rain?"

"It's only rain."

"Martha, have you seen the rain?" Tish asked on the phone.

"Why's everyone fussing about rain?" She laughed.

"It's going up."

"The rain is going up."

Once both acknowledged the strange rainfall, Martha realised that they were telling the truth when looking out of the window. The raindrops were going in a different direction as they were supposed to. There was no way this could have been possible.

Abruptly, a huge clash of thunder shook the hospital. Lightning flashed as everyone tumbled to the ground, screaming in fear. The building continued to tilt, back and forth for what seemed like forever.

Nevertheless, it eventually ceased and the storm stopped. Martha stumbled from off the ground, shocked by the cataclysmic event. "What the hell was that?"

"Are you all right?" Her friend questioned, still laying on the ground.

"I think so, yeah. It felt like an earthquake, or..." Her words trailed off after she gazed out of the window.

"Martha? It's night. Look. It was lunchtime."

"It's not night." She replied.

"But it's got to be." Her friend slid up the wall, looking out of the window. "It's dark."

"We're on the moon." Outside was nothing but grey rock, a cratered surface that was completely barren. The Earth was there in the dark expanse of space.

Her friend was in disbelief. "We can't be."

"We're on the moon. We're on the bloody moon."

***

Everyone was panicking, staff and patients alive. They were all running around mad, screaming in horror. The only people unaffected were the Doctor and Willow who knew exactly what was about to go down. They pulled the curtain, blocking them from view as Martha and her friend entered.

"All right now, everyone back to bed, we've got an emergency but we'll sort it out. Don't worry." She gazed out of the window in the ward, observing the new landscape in awe. "It's real. It's really real. Hold on."

She reached for the window, but her friend stopped her. "Don't! We'll lose all the air."

"But they're not exactly airtight. If the air was going to get sucked out it would have happened straight away, but it didn't. So how come?" She theorised.

The Doctor pulled back the curtain, now dressed in his signature suit and tie. "Very good point. Brilliant, in fact. What was your name?"

"Martha."

"And it was Jones, wasn't it?" He checked, strolling over to the window. "Well then, Martha Jones, the question is, how are we still breathing?"

"We can't be." Her friend pointed out.

"Obviously we are, so don't waste my time-"

"Don't be rude!" Willow protested.

He ignored her, questioning Martha. "Martha, what have we got? Is there a balcony on this floor, or a veranda, or..."

"By the patients' lounge, yeah."

"Fancy going out?"

"Ok." She accepted.

"We might die."

"We might not."

The Doctor smirked, liking her sense of curiosity. "Good. Come on. Not her, she'd hold us up."

They jogged away, leaving her friend to cry. Willow turned back, saying. "Sorry, he's like this."

She followed them out onto the balcony where they breathed in the remaining air around them. "We've got air. How does that work?" asked Martha.

"Just be glad it does," Willow told her. "We have a chance of survival."

"I've got a party tonight. It's my brother's twenty-first. My mother's going to be really, really..."

"You ok?" The Doctor wondered.

"Yeah."

"Sure?"

"Yeah."

"Want to go back in?"

"No way. I mean, we could die any minute, but all the same, it's beautiful." She commented.

He shrugged. "Do you think?"

"How many people want to go to the moon? And here we are."

"Standing in the Earthlight." The Doctor finished, acknowledging how happy she was. The whole hospital was trapped in a dire situation, yet Martha Jones was not entirely scared.

"What do you think happened?" Martha questioned.

"What do you think?" He retorted.

"Extra-terrestrial. It's got to be. I don't know, a few years ago that would have sounded mad, but these days? That spaceship flying into Big Ben, Christmas, those Cybermen things. I had a cousin. Adeola. She worked at Canary Wharf. She never came home."

At the very mention of Canary Wharf, a sense of grief washed over her. Willow understood what it was like to lose someone. "I'm sorry."

"Yeah."

"We were there, you know. In the eye of the storm." She divulged. "We lost some people we loved as well."

Martha straightened up, trying not to tear up. "I promise you, Mister Smith and Miss Hughes-Tyler, we will find a way out. If we can travel to the moon, then we can travel back. There's got to be a way."

"It's not Smith. That's not my real name." The Doctor admitted.

Her head turned, confused. "Who are you, then?"

"I'm the Doctor."

She chuckled. "Me too, if I can pass my exams. What is it then, Doctor Smith?"

"Just the Doctor, and this is Willow." He introduced his fiancée.

"How do you mean, just the Doctor?"

"Just the Doctor."

"What, people call you the Doctor?"

"Yeah."

"I call him a "stupid genius"," Willow stated.

Martha giggled for a moment, her hands clenching onto the balcony railing. "As far as I'm concerned, you've got to earn that title."

"What? Stupid genius?"

"No, having the title of "Doctor"." She corrected her.

"Well, I'd better make a start, then. Let's have a look. There must be some sort of..." He picked up a nearby stone and flung it into the distance. However, it was prevented from doing so when it hit a forcefield that surrounded the hospital. "Forcefield keeping the air in."

"But if that's like a bubble sealing us in, that means this is the only air we've got. What happens when it runs out?" She asked.

"How many people are in this hospital, Martha?" queried Willow.

"I don't know. A thousand?" She responded.

"One thousand people suffocating."

Martha was sickened to the very core, now beginning to worry. "Why would anyone do that?"

"Head's up! Ask them yourself." All of a sudden, three massive columnar spaceships passed overhead before landing nearby.

Soon enough, a fleet of marching soldiers in all black left their ships and headed towards the hospital. Martha's eyes widened, entranced by them. "Aliens. That's aliens. Real, proper aliens."

"Judoon." The Doctor uttered, taking Willow by the hand and sprinting down to the reception; Martha trailed behind.

They hid behind some plants, watching them from above. One of the Judoon removed their helmet, revealing a rhinoceros head underneath. He assimilated the English language and ordered his troops to begin cataloguing suspects.

As they observed, the Doctor's eyes were drawn away. "Oh, look down there, you've got a little shop. I like a little shop."

"Never mind that. What are Judoon?" Martha asked.

"They're like police. Well, police for hire. They're more like interplanetary thugs." He bluntly explained.

"Basically big brutes who think they can do what they like." Willow summarised plainly.

"And they brought us to the moon?"

The Doctor nodded. "Neutral territory. According to galactic law, they've got no jurisdiction over the Earth, and they isolated it. That rain, lightning? That was them, using an H2O scoop."

"What are you on about, galactic law? Where'd you get that from? If they're police, are we under arrest? Are we trespassing on the moon or something?"

Willow sighed. "So many questions, so little time."

"No, but I like that. Good thinking. No, I wish it were that simple. They're making a catalogue. That means they're after something non-human, which is very bad news for us."

"Why?" She glanced over at the two, recognising the serious expressions on their faces. "Oh, you're kidding me. Don't be ridiculous. Stop looking at me like that."

"Right, let's find that non-human before we run out of air," exclaimed Willow, jumping to her feet.

***

They hid in a nearby admin office, the Doctor wanting to search the database for the criminal the Judoon were looking for.

Martha was peering out of the doorway, making sure the Judoon weren't coming. "They've reached the third floor." She turned back, noticing the Doctor using his sonic screwdriver on the computer. "What's that thing?"

"Sonic screwdriver." He answered.

She huffed. "Well, if you're not going to answer me properly."

"No, it actually is a sonic screwdriver," Willow confirmed.

"What else have you got, a laser spanner?" She joked.

"I did, but it was stolen by Emily Pankhurst, cheeky woman. Oh, this computer!" The Doctor smacked it, expressing his impatience. "The Judoon must have locked it down. Judoon platoon upon the moon. Because we were just travelling past. I swear, we were just wandering. We weren't looking for trouble, honestly, we weren't, but I noticed these plasma coils around the hospital, and that lightning, that's a plasma coil. Been building up for two days now, so we checked in. I thought something was going on inside. It turns out the plasma coils were the Judoon up above."

"I told you it was a bad idea to go undercover," said Willow.

"But what were they looking for?" asked Martha.

"Something that looks human, but isn't."

"Like you two, apparently." She was still in disbelief that they were aliens.

"Like us. But not us." The Doctor continued his search with no luck.

Martha resumed her questioning. "Haven't they got a photo?"

He shook his head. "Well, might be a shape-changer."

"Whatever it is, can't you just leave the Judoon to find it?"

"If they declare the hospital guilty of harbouring a fugitive, they'll sentence it to execution." He described.

"All of us?"

"Judoon have no mercy. They'll kill us all." Willow frowned, comprehending that they should have realised they were behind all this.

Abruptly, the Doctor jumped back in anger. "Oh! You see, they're thick! Judoon are thick! They are completely thick! They wiped the records. Oh, that's clever."

"What are we looking for?"

Even the Doctor and Willow didn't know, but they wanted to find out. "I don't know. Say, any patient admitted in the past week with unusual symptoms. Maybe there's a back-up."

"Just keep working. I'll go ask Mr Stoker. He might know." Martha left, going to Mr Stoker's office to find some answers to their problem. Although Willow did not like her boss, she knew that he would help them.

However, to her surprise, the Doctor managed to recover the records. "Ha! Got it!" The two ran out in delight, pausing in front of Martha. "I've restored the back-up."

"I found her."

"You did what-?" Their conversation ceased when the door to Mr Stoker's office was broken down by a leatherman. The Doctor grasped Willow's hand, ordering Martha behind. "Run!"

The trio sprinted down the corridor, about to leg it down the stairs when they were stopped by Judoon coming up. They were forced to run in the opposite direction, still being followed by the leatherman.

With only a few options left, the three ran into a radiology room where the Doctor locked the door with his sonic. He guided Willow and Martha behind the screen. "When I say now, press the button."

"But I don't know which one!" She exclaimed in a panic.

"We'll find out together then," Willow said, helping her discover which button to use.

Meanwhile, as the door was being broken down, the Doctor started messing with the x-ray machine. The girls reached for a manual, skimming it quickly.

The door was soon battered off its hinges, the leatherman entering the room. "Now!" He aimed the machine at the man as Martha slammed her hand on the button.

The leatherman squirmed, gaining a massive dose of radiation which eventually killed him from the inside. Once he was on the ground, Martha switched the machine off. "What did you do?"

"Increased the radiation by five thousand per cent. Killed him dead." The Doctor surmised.

"But isn't that going to kill you?"

"Nah, it's only roentgen radiation. We used to play with roentgen bricks in the nursery. It's safe for you to come out. I've absorbed it all." The girls emerged from behind the screen, watching as the Doctor began to jiggle his body. "All I need to do is expel it. If I concentrate I can shake the radiation out of my body and into one spot. It's in my left shoe. Here we go, here we go. Easy does it. Out, out, out, out, out. Out, out. Ah, ah, ah, ah! It is, it is, it is, it is, it is hot. Hold on."

After fully expelling the radiation, he threw the shoe into the bin. "Done."

"You're completely mad," Martha commented.

Willow chuckled. "Tell me about it."

"You're right. I look daft with one shoe." Then he removed his other shoe and put that in the bin as well. "Barefoot on the moon."

She shook her head, disregarding the madness of the day and focusing on the situation at hand. "So what is that thing? And where's it from, the planet Zovirax?"

"It's just a Slab. They're called Slabs. Basic slave drones. See? Solid leather, all the way through. Someone has got one hell of a fetish."

Willow grimaced. "Ugh..."

"But it was that woman, Miss Finnegan. It was working for her, just like a servant." She recalled.

Although, the Doctor was swiftly distracted by his fried sonic screwdriver. "My sonic screwdriver."

"She was one of the patients, but-"

"Oh, no. My sonic screwdriver."

"She had a straw, like some kind of vampire."

"I loved my sonic screwdriver."

Willow rolled her eyes. "Doctor!"

"Sorry." He threw the sonic screwdriver in the bin without a second thought.

Martha continued on with her description of the criminal. "Anyway? Miss Finnegan is the alien. She was drinking Mr Stoker's blood."

"Funny time to take a snack. You'd think she'd be hiding. Unless... No... Yes, that's it. Wait a minute. Yes! Shape-changer. Internal shape-changer. She wasn't drinking blood, she was assimilating it." He realised.

As soon as he got it, Willow understood too. "Wait, if she can assimilate Mr Stoker's blood, mimic the biology, she'll register as human. We've got to find her and show the Judoon."

***

During their search for Miss Finnegan, they were also being hunted down by the second Slab. The three hid behind a water dispenser, planning their next strategy. "That's the thing about Slabs. They always travel in pairs."

"What about you two?" wondered Martha.

The Doctor raised his eyebrows. "What about us?"

"Haven't you got back-up?"

"I'm his back-up," Willow told her. "I deserve to be."

"You are." He confirmed with a flirtatious smile. The Doctor glanced at Martha again."Humans. We're stuck on the moon running out of air with Judoon and a bloodsucking criminal and you're asking personal questions? Come on."

They all stood back on their feet, turning a corner. "I like that. Humans. I'm still not convinced you're aliens."

Unexpectedly, they found themselves right in front of the Judoon. The Captain pointed his scanner at the Doctor's head, cataloguing him. "Non-human."

Martha's eyes widened. "Oh my God, you really are."

"And again." They ran down the corridor once again, the Judoon firing their guns at them from behind.

The trio managed to reach another floor where people were slumping to the ground, losing air. "They've done this floor. Come on. The Judoon are logical and just a little bit thick. They won't go back to check a floor they've checked already. If we're lucky."

Martha knelt beside her friend who was giving oxygen to a patient. "How much oxygen is there?"

"Not enough for all these people. We're going to run out." She informed them.

"How are you feeling? Are you all right?" He asked Martha, checking she was alright.

"I'm running on adrenaline." She exhaled.

"Welcome to our world." The Doctor smirked, walking down the corridor with Willow.

Martha caught up behind. "What about the Judoon?"

"Nah, great big lung reserves. It won't slow them down. Where's Mr Stoker's office?" he asked.

"It's this way." She led them towards his office, opening the door to find him dead on the ground. His skin was pale and his eyes were still open in horror. "She's gone. She was here."

"Drained him dry." He noticed from his extremely white complexion. "Every last drop. I was right. She's a plasmavore."

"What's she doing on Earth?" Martha questioned as she knelt beside his dead body.

"Hiding. On the run. Like Ronald Biggs in Rio de Janeiro. What's she doing now? She's still not safe. The Judoon could execute us all. Come on."

As he and Willow were about to leave, Martha interrupted. "Wait a minute." She brushed her hand over his eyelids, closing them and allowing him to be at peace.

Back in the corridor, the Doctor scratched his head. "Think, think, think. If I was a plasmavore surrounded by police, what would I do?" His eyes were drawn to the nearby MRI, hearing faint noises inside. "Ah. She's as clever as me. Almost."

There was a sudden crash, alarming the trio that the Judoon had arrived on their floor. "Find the non-human. Execute."

He pulled Willow aside. "Willow, have you still got it?"

She dug her hand into her pocket, pulling out the Chameleon Cloak. "It's always on me."

"I need time. You've got to hold them up." The Doctor said as she placed it on her wrist, becoming human once again.

"How do I do that?" She queried.

To her surprise, he pulled her in for a kiss. His lips left the right amount of non-human DNA to confuse the Judoon. Not only that, but he couldn't resist one kiss from his true love.

Eventually, he broke away and headed into the MRI room. Martha stood to the side in shock, her eyes wide open. "So you two are actually together?"

"Yep. Have been since last year." She told her.

"I guess that works out."

The Judoon continued their search, shoving people aside. "Find the non-human. Execute."

As they wandered closer, Martha stepped in front. "Now listen, I know who you're looking for. She's this woman. She calls herself Florence."

"Martha, get out of the way," Willow instructed, wandering towards them. "I haven't been catalogued yet."

The Captain pointed his scanner at her, assessing her faked biology. "Human. Wait. Non-human traits suspected. Non-human element confirmed. Authorise full scan." He slammed her onto the wall, intensively scanning her. "What are you? What are you?"

As they proceeded to scan her, she began to feel her connection to the Doctor was weakening. It was at that time she realised what he was doing. Willow had to get in there as soon as possible, or else.

Finally, the Judoon finished their search. "Confirm human. Traces of facial contact with the non-human. Continue the search."

"Lucky for you, I know where you can find them," Willow said, quickly scrambling into the MRI. Luckily, the Judoon followed her as did Martha.

Upon entering, she recognised the Plasmavore had almost finished her meal; her meal being the Doctor that is. His body fell to the floor, unconscious. "Now see what you've done. This poor man just died of fright."

His skin was nearly as pale as Mr Stoker's, Willow had hoped it wasn't enough to kill him though. "Liar. She just tried to murder him!"

"Scan him." The Judoon Captain used his scanner on his lifeless body. "Confirmation. Deceased."

"What?" Willow uttered in fear. "No, he can't be. She tried to kill him!"

"Judoon have no authority over human crime."

"Oh, but the thing is she's not human. And I can prove it." She pointed out, grabbing the scanner and forcing it upon the Plasmavore.

She laughed for a second. "Oh, I don't mind. Scan all you like."

The scanner beeped, successfully identifying her. "Non-human."

"What?"

"Confirm analysis."

The Judoon all pointed their scanners at her whilst she tried to defend herself. "Oh, but it's a mistake, surely. I'm human. I'm as human as they come."

"The thing is, Miss Finnegan, there's more than one non-human in this hospital," Willow smirked as she snarled in return.

"Confirm. Plasmavore, charged with the crime of murdering the child princess of Patrival Regency Nine."

She hissed. "Well, she deserved it! Those pink cheeks and those blonde curls and that simpering voice. She was begging for the bite of a plasmavore."

"Then you confess?"

"Confess? I'm proud of it! Slab, stop them!" She sprinted away, her little legs taking her behind a screen.

The Judoon fried the Slab, destroying it for good. "Verdict, guilty. Sentence, execution."

The Plasmavore plugged in the MRI scanner, causing a magnetic overload. "Enjoy your victory, Judoon, because you're going to burn with me. Burn in hell!"

All four Judoon fired their guns, incinerating her through the glass. "Case closed."

"But what did she mean, burn with me? The scanner shouldn't be doing that. She's done something." Martha stated.

The Captain wandered over, scanning the machine as the electricity pulsed inside. "Scans detect lethal acceleration of monomagnetic pulse."

"Well, do something! Stop it!" She exclaimed.

"Our jurisdiction has ended. Judoon will evacuate." It stated.

They began to leave to Martha's frustration. "What? You can't just leave it. What's it going to do?"

"All units withdraw." The Captain ordered, leaving with the four Judoon.

"Just leave them. They've done their job and now we have to do ours." Willow dashed behind the screen, trying to work out how to use the machine. "Martha, try and revive him. Please!"

She did what she was told, giving the Doctor the last of her air. On instinct, Willow pulled away all of the cables she could find. There had to be one that would shut the whole thing down.

However, there was too many and so little time. She forgot she was running on human air, but she was too weak to remove the Chameleon Cloak from her wrist. Nevertheless, it was up to her to save the world and everyone in this hospital. She occasionally peeked through the screen, observing as Martha tried to revive him. Despite Martha's hard work, he wasn't waking up, and it worried Willow to death.

Eventually, every plug was pulled from its sockets and the machine finally powered down. She couldn't hear Martha's voice anymore, her view of the room twisting and turning. They were all safe, Willow thought as she collapsed on the ground. Her vision blackened as the Doctor reached for her fallen body.

He cradled her in his arms with the last of his strength, carrying her away. Everyone in the corridor was passing out all over the place, losing the last of their air.

As they reached a window, the Doctor watched as the Judoon ships began to leave. "Come on, come on, come on, come on, please. Come on, Judoon, reverse it." Then the rain came, and a bright smile appeared on his face. "It's raining, Willow. It's raining on the moon. You saved us."

There was a flash of lightning and thunder, the hospital was soon returned to its rightful place. Everyone survived and had a story to tell.

Outside, Martha was being checked upon by an ambulance crew when she was joined by her worried sister. "Martha! Oh, God! I thought you were dead! What happened? It was so weird because the police wouldn't say. They didn't have a clue. And I tried phoning. Mum's on her way, but she can't get through. They've closed off all the roads."

She paid no attention, only watching the pair sneak away with smiles on their faces. "There's thousands of people trying to get in. The whole city's come to a halt. And Dad phoned because it's on the news and everything. He was crying. Oh, what a mess. What happened? I mean, what really happened? Where were you?"

Martha Jones had quite a day, would anyone believe it she wondered?

Sorry this was a bit late. I had been watching the newest episode. What did you all think of it? Captain Jack was awesome, the companions were awesome and it was unexpected. That new companion tease... wasn't expecting that!

I'm going to be returning to the "write when I can" phase instead of updating every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. I have too much going on at the moment and I don't have enough time like I did for the second book. Especially when I have three other stories in progress.

The ending of this episode will be in the next chapter. Stay tuned!
