Winters's POV

It has been 9 years since Meera's birth and now the young girl is 9 years old she is so .......... wild and to be honest I love it Meera is a little terror and it is funny to watch her just be herself. 

As I was working I could hear the other maids talking I decided to approach them they seemed to be scared of me but I don't care and I ask "what is going on here?" the maidens looked at me and said "Winters ...... umm there is talk of ..... possible new baby on the way" well that seems good but way do they look pale "ok well that's cool but why do you look pale?" they now looked at the floor and another one said "it is rumoured that the baby could have ...... Greaywater fever" then they left all I could think was what the hell is Greaywater fever.

At the family breakfast. 

As I was serving the family there breakfast I took a closer look at the lady of the house to see if I could find anything of bump but I could not, "miss Winters could you stand there just for a moment" Lord Reed said of me and I did so "now miss Winters you may of heard of the rumours about a new baby being talked around" Lady Reed said and I nodded showing I knew of what she was talking about "well then I am here to tell you that they are true were are expecting a new child hopefully a little boy to charry on the Reed name" the Lady said I could not believe I was hearing this but then I remembered the other thing, "if you don't mind me asking Lord and Lady but what the hell is Greaywater fever?" both Lord and Lady turned pale looking at me then at Meera "Greaywater fever is a illness that has yet to have a cure this illness kills anyone who has the horrid thing, why do you ask?" the lord said and then asked " along with that rumour I  heard some of the maids say the baby could have this thing called  Greaywater fever" I answered they all looked at me. "Well with all children born in Greaywater have a chance of being born with the illness but ...... yes there might be a chance that this child could be born with it" Lady Reed said with a sad experstion on her face I just nodded and got on with my tasks.

Late in the afternoon.  

I was out side taking care of what ever greener has decided to grow in the garden then I heard little foot steps and I know it was Meera coming to talk to me even though she has lessons,  " good evening Meera what can I do for you today ?" I asked the little Reed "if my potential  brother or sister has the fever thing promise me you will help them get better" she said to me looking at me with confidence in her eyes got down so I was  on her eye level then I said, " I will do my best if that ever happens" after that Meera smiled and ran back to what I hope was her lesson.     

My evening jobs weren't anything exiting to be honest but I guess that can not be helped as I myself am just a maid to these people, walking through the halls I could here the laughs of the other maidens here but I never got to know them but I don't care.

Night in Winters's room.  

I was sat in my room I could not get this feeling out of my head of a family I had but could not remember but this family I had for 9 years  now is the best I could get and that is fine. I heard some foot steps approach my door and stop as soon as it got close to the door then a knock " come in" I said to whoever is behind the door, "Winters are you alright? you have been more quiet  then usual for you" it was Lady Reed "no yeah I am fine I guess I a just tried or something" I said with a small smile on my face but she did not look like she was going to take my lie but she did not push farther "you know id you want to switch working houses then you can if being here is to much for you?" she asked softly "wait no no no I love working here I am just slightly tired" i said again repeating the lie I just told.

The Lady again did not take my lie but just excepted the lie and said " if you want you can a day or a week off if you want to get some energy back"  I shook my head she smiled knowing how hard headed I am then she left leaving me to my thoughts I hope that this child comes out healthy for the family's sake.
