Winters POV

We were doing last minutes preparations for the arrival of the new baby so I was very busy unable to help Meera with anything which did sadden me as in I loved hanging out with Meera but I was needed. When I was in the kitchen one of the lady's maids came bursting in looking like she was about to pass out, "Winters .... Winters the lady has gone into labour and you are needed" as thoughts words came out of her mouth I shot out of the kitchen and ran towards the bedroom of the lord and lady, "Winters glad you are here can you help with the deliver of the bay?" the Lord asked which surprised me but I nodded  anyways walking towards the end of the bed. "Lord where is the is the midwife?" I asked he looked at me with a white face " she had greywater fever and had died" I just realised that I am doing this alone.

30 minutes later. 

It's has been a while and we do have a bit of the head which is a bit concerning then we got progress the whole head was just out which did freak me out a bit but I got back on to the job, it was going smooth which means he will be a easy baby but I could never be more wrong. 

After the bay was born which was a boy by the way I looked at the Lady and the Lord waiting for them to name the child to which the Lady said "he's name is Jojen" I looked the boy and nodded in understanding. As I was putting the baby down the Lord asked "is there any red blemishes on his body?" I thought about it and said " yeah there are a few of them on his back and his cheeks", the room went quiet I got confused as I turned around and saw the faces of the Lord and Lady turned white "are you ok?" they stayed quiet for a few more minutes "Winters can you meet me outside now"  and I did.

Outside of the room.

When I got out of the room the Lord he looked at me and said " it might seem that the rumours are true and Jojen might have greywater fever",  I looked at him I was ...... I guess in shock from what had been said so I just nodded showing I understood he looked at me and said "will you become his nurse to easy his life incase he dose die?" again I just stood there not saying anything but I need to say something " yes I will be his nurse to help him and I will do my best to help him get better" it was his turn to nodded which he did and left me in the hallway. I just stood there for another few minutes to process things I am still confused but I had a job assigned to me I could not let them down. 

I then realised how much responsibility was being put on to my shoulders but I can not think about it and need to focus. This is probable not the best way to think about it but it was what came across my mind and I need to go through with it so that means I need to deal with the situation.
