I had few other commitments. Also my baby is growing up fast. I couldn't find enough time to update.

Here is the next update. And the story is about to end in another 2 or 3 chapters.

Alric joined his detective job in Washington. Nick joined Mr. Bill at Germany. Alric was given training for the first 2 weeks and he was appointed as an assistant to head detective in the crime branch. When he was about to call his love, he was called by his boss. He has to travel to North California with his head detective (boss) to investigate a drug dealer. The drug dealer was suspected to have killed 5 young girls after harassing them and that one girl out of five is a niece of the big shot, the famous actor in Hollywood. The boss and Alric left for their flight scheduled one hour from then on. They rushed to their flight and Alric texted Nick about the same. When the flight was about to take off, he called Hirdh to inform the same but the mobile was switched off. He tried contacting other friends of Hirdh's... but he couldn't get in contact with anyone. So he planned to inform them later. They reached North California in few hours and they were welcomed by the head detective agency of that place and the Chief Sheriff of the local police station. They were briefed about the whereabouts of the drug dealer, Daniel. They had a short secret meeting in a cozy hotel to where they were asked to stay. The head detective was dressed as the CEO of a multi dollar company of chemicals and Alric as his PA. They were given a new mobile phone and that their personal mobiles were kept in a locker, so that they remain detached frim the outside world. Alric was allowed to use his personal mail once in a week. So, literally the only chance of communicating with his friends is through that portal.

In the mean time, Nick was engrossed in Germany in his work. He saw the text from Alric but didnt even open it becoz of work. Hirdh and her friends were rigorously preparing for their semesters. Hirdh & Alric spoke to each other atleast 5 times a day at the start and it got reduced becoz of their increasing responsibilities as days passed. As their final year came toban end, they departed ways. Hirdh tried calling Alric but his number was switched off and that Nick was not reachable. Hirdh cried to herself for not able to reach them and she was missing Alric almost day by day. Hirdh joined R&D to research more on chemicals and to take off her mind from Alric. She became technician sooner and was working on a new explosive they were trying to create, which was more powerful than nuclear bombs available then. Stephen started a new gaming company, Sriya into research and Jose went to his core company. Dharshi became math professor in a nearby
university. Hirdh and Dharshi stayed 5 kms away from each other. They met frequently.. Nick was in contact with Dharshi, which eased out her pain on worrying about her bff. Dharshi and Hirdh hung out once in a while. Their favorite spot is the ice cream shop round the corner of Dharshi's home. They used to sit and eat ice creams and speak about their college life. Whenever the talk comes near Alric, Hirdh's melancholy will hit Dharshi and she couldn't reach him either, feeling helpless. Alric went out of their friends' circle a long time ago. Meanwhile, Hirdh lost her mobile in the park, where she and Dharshi hung out. Hirdh was still aching for her Al, the one and only true love of her life. She didn't even know the whereabouts of him. She used to stare at his photograph for hours together, while tears streaming out of her eyes.. Dharshi saw this state of hers and arranged for a party in few days time. She had to put a great effort in reaching out to all of their mutual friends and they were waiting to meet Hirdh. Well. except Alric...

On the other hand, Alric and his boss neared Daniel, Alric playing a rich multi dollar drug addict role, so that they could easily get to him. His boss disguised himself as a bar tender and got a job in Daniel's one of the stripping club. Alric observed Daniel's partners, the way he poses himself to others in his club, how he treated girls like sh*t after using them for his own ways, how he communicated with all of his employees, how he dealt with local police.. just to make himself safer, no matter who comes to power. With his money power, he had many higher officials to work for him in many domains. He was called 'The king of Underground'. Alric cooked up a story as if he was a big drug addict and also a multi dollar company CEO and that he is in search of a special drug, which will be available only with big shots and that he is ready to pay any amount of money to get them. The bar tender was speaking about this to one of his colleagues, so that it will go to Daniel's ears. Just as he expected, he was called upon to meet Daniel and he increased the thirst of Daniel to meet Alric, setting up a meeting to discuss with him.
