Alric was a very good psychiatrist and was very popular in his university for his skills. Girls usually swarmed him for his good physique. But he never looked at them for he gave importance only to character. 

Basically, he was old school. Yes... He was from a traditional family. He had many principles and the significant one among them was 'dedication to his future wife', as in keeping his heart intactband tried his best to not fall for anyone. As pure as possible for his better half and he was strong on that principle.

It was very rare then to find a guy of that type, but, Alric was. He was on due age to get into a relationship according to his friends or should one say, fake friends, for they loved gossiping. They didn't care about how one would get hurt. And they still carried with gossiping in the name of fun. Alric never cared about what others thought since that was his life and he lived it in his own special way.

He was meticulous in getting settled first before getting into a relationship. This was a way far different from his fellow-mates, who longed for girl friends. But Alric wanted his first girl friend to be his lovable wife.

Nick was a true friend of Alric and pursued statistics in the same university. They were hostel mates. Nick was referred to as a nerd and he remained close only to Alric.

Nick was like a coconut. Hard exterier and soft interior. Only Alric had the patience and capability to break through his hard shell and found who Nick really was.

Nick was the captain of  their football team and he was as charismatic as one could ever be. Nick was capable of gaining everyone's attention by his mere presence. He got used to it some way or the other but he loved to be alone.

In order to maintain a playboy image, which everyone expected from him, he dated girls and changed one from another in a matter of months. For, he was never emotionally attached to anyone. He was still in search of his true girl friend. The girls never bothered either, for they dated him only for flamboyance and they got to become popular, bring his girlfriend in mere days.
