She bumped into me by accident, today, during school, on her way to class.

"Oops, sorry," she said, barely glancing at me, with a smile.

She seemed to be in a good mood. Though, I wouldn't blame her. Mark had just been flirting with her.

I only stared at her for a second, though, before walking by Mark on the way to class.

"What's up, man?" he asked with a grin.

I shrugged, not looking at him.

He bumped my shoulder lightly. "Dude, I think the new girl likes me."

I raised an eyebrow at him. Every guy-loving student—possibly even a few teachers—at our school liked him. Maybe even in the whole city.

He laughed. "She's cute, yeah?"

Again, I shrugged, running a hand through my hair.

"'Kay, gotta go, man," Mark said, still grinning, before pulling away from me and heading towards his own class.

I nodded him goodbye before entering the classroom next to his, rubbing my shoulder where she bumped into me.

On the bus, Mark and the other senior and junior guys were talking about a party that was coming up. Mark said he's planning on bringing the girl with him. They didn't include me in the conversation, letting me listen to my music until Mark nudged me.

"Hey," he said, leaning against the window in the seat in front of mine.

I nodded, knowing he knew that meant I was listening.

"You should come with us tomorrow night," he said, sounding genuine and I almost smiled. Then, as if realizing what he said sounded like a joke, he grinned. "I could be your wingman!"

My thoughts immediately went towards the girl, even though I knew she was practically already Mark's. The other guys even laughed at that ridiculous statement and it managed to get me to smile the barest of smiles—a rare thing for me, no matter how small it is.

The smile on Mark's face started to slowly fade. "Okay but seriously, man. You should get out sometime. Have fun—I really hope that word's in your advanced dictionary."

I only stared at him with a blank expression and he took the hint. He sighed before giving up—like he usually did whenever he attempts at getting me to do something "fun."

He continued his conversation with his friends and I leaned against the window as I ran my hands through my hair, watching the raindrops slide down the cool window.

After I let him read what had happened today, Dr. K said that, as long as I don't abuse substances, Mark was right—I almost laughed then. In what world is Mark right about anything?—I should go out and have fun, and a party would be a good start.

I disagree, Dr. K. A party would certainly, most definitely, not be a good start.

Too many people.

Too many temptations.

Too many accidents waiting to happen.
