Third-person POV

"Professor Dumbledore come quick!" Hagrid's voice boomed. Professor Dumbledore stood up from his desk chair in his office and followed Hagrid to the hospital wing. 

When they walked in they saw Madam Pomfrey hovering over a girl.

"What happened?" Dumbledore asked.

"I found her in the Forbidden Forest sir. We thought she looked familiar so we did a DNA test and it's true. We've found Harry's twin sister, Courtney. The best we can figure is You-Know-Who was using her to get strength and now that she's too weak he threw her to the side." Hagrid explained. Dumbledore took a step closer and examined the girl. She was still unconcious.

Shelby's POV

"Shelby come on!" Draco banged on my bedroom door.

"Fine." I groaned and crawled out of bed. I threw my robes on and finished getting ready. I opened the door and Draco was still standing there impatiently.

"Are you finally ready? We have to be back to our dorms before everyone else wakes up." 

"Yes I'm ready. Chill out." I walked past him briskly and went to the fireplace. Once he got there we flooed to Hagrid's hut.

The walk to the castle was silent. We didn't even look at each other. When we got to our place in the dungeon and went into the common room we went our separate ways to our dormitories.

When I got to my dorm I noticed Athena was back with a letter. I stroked her beak and gave her an owl treat then took the letter. She nimbled my finger affectionately. I opened it.

"Dear Shelby,

     I'm glad you agree with me adopting you. I put the papers you need to sign inside. Send them back to me as soon as possible. I hope you enjoy you first Halloween at Hogwart's. It's coming soon!

I smiled widely and took out the paper and signed it immediately. 

"I'll send them after lunch. You can go to the owlery if you want to get more treats." I told Athena and hurried off to breakfast. 

"What is wrong with you? You've been acting odd all day?" Draco asked me during Potions.

"Ms. Simmon's sent me the papers to sign so we can finalize my adoption! I was going to send them off after lunch but Athena was still in the owlery so I will after dinner." I told him excitedly.

"Oh. I guess that is a reason to be...odd. When will it be finalized?"

"In a couple days after I send the papers in."

"Will you be staying with her over the Christmas and Summer holiday?" He asked.

"Yeah I think so."

"Good. I was scared you'd be with us."

"It was a mutual feeling." I snarled. He smirked and went back to mixing his potion.

"I heard you stood up Potter the other night when you were suppose to have a duel with him." I whispered.

"It was bloodly brilliant. Filch is still keeping a close eye on him." Draco chuckled.

"I think it was cowardly."

"I did you a favor. If we would've dueled I'd of blown him to bits. Can't have the boy you fancy into a million pieces can we?" He said without looking at me.

"No we can't." 

After dinner I went to my dorm to send off the letter before I met Hermione in the library. I looked for them on my desk but they were gone! I looked everywhere and started throwing stuff to find them. I hurried to Hermione to tell her what happened.

"Hermione!" I yelled in a hush voice and sat across from her.

"What is it?" She asked. I told her about the letters going missing.

"That's odd. If they don't turn up we know someone took them but who?" She asked herself.

"I don't know." I sighed.

"My turn.." She said and filled me in about Fluffy.

"So Fluffy is guarding whatever was in the bank?" I said.

"Yes. We're trying to figure out exactly what that is." She answered.

"H-Hello girls." A voice said. We looked up and saw Professor Quirrel standing there.

"Hello Professor Quirrel." We said.

"D-doing a bit of s-studying?" He asked

"Yes." Hermione said.

"I w-would like a word with Ms. D-dumbledore. W-would you e-excuse us?" 

"Sure." She said and hesitantly left.

"What do you need to tell me?" I asked him. He stared into my eyes intensely. 

"Professor Quirrel?" I asked confused. He started whispering words I couldn't understand. I started sweating and shaking. My body went numb like it did in my dream. Things started spinning and I blacked out.

Third-person POV

"Professor Snape." Draco said walking into Snape's dungeon.

"Yes?" 

"I've been waiting on Shelby for over an hour. I don't know where she is."

"When's the last time you saw her?" Snape asked standing up.

"Dinner. She left early to send off her letter to Ms. Simmons about her adoption." Draco explained.

"So she is being adopted?"

"Yes. She signed the papers and was sending them back to get them finalized."

"Go over to Hagrid's and floo home and tell your Father what is going on. I'll find Ms. Dumbledore and send her." Snape ordered.

"Yes Professor." Draco said and left.

Professor Snape went straight to Professor Quirrel's room. 

Professor Quirrel was sitting behind his desk.

"S-severus. W-what a surprise." 

"Save it Quirrel. Where's the girl?"

"I d-don't know what you're t-talking about."

"Yes you do. Ms. Dumbledore is missing and I know you have something to do with it."

"What a p-pity. She's such a s-sweet g-girl. I hope she t-turns up s-soon."

"I'll find her and prove you had something to do with it Quirrel. Mark my words." Snape swiftly turned around and stormed out.
