Maddelena's POV

Today was the day. Valentine's Day. Most people think Valentine's Day is all about relationships,love, marriage and baby making.

But it's really about appreciating the people who are they for you. Alex has been there for me, not in a romantic way....obviously. I'm a single Pringle looking to mingle.

Alex and I are currently at Spoons (an Oriental buffet restaurant), cause Chinese food is the love of my life and no one else. Meh... I'm a sucker for food.

There are couples all over Spoons . Valentines Day doesn't discriminate. It was amazing to see so many people in love.

Then there was Alex and I.....piling food onto a plate and seeing how fast we could eat it.

We were seated by the window stuffing our faces. We didn't choose the hungry life, the hungry life chose us.

(Pretend the shirt says LUV SUCS)

Light reflected into my eye from outside the window. My eyes followed the light to see a young woman with black and red hair. She was wearing a red baggy t-shirt that said: "LUV SUCS", with black skinny jeans and Burgundy Converses. She was standing on the roof of the opposite building, with a bow and arrow in her hand.

She was aiming for Alex.
Meh...it wouldn't be able to go through the window.
She released the arrow.

It went through the fudging window?!

The window was still intact, like it was a weird ghost arrow. My eyes widened in shock as I noticed where it had gone.

It was in Alex's shoulder and he hadn't even felt it.

" Umm, Alex...my dude....are you okay? Like are you in pain or anything?" I pointed at the arrow. "Cause...there's.......umm....a little something....in your shoulder?"

He looked into my eyes. They were bright pink. He smiled softly and encased my hands in his own.

I think that girl was cupid.
But cupid is just a myth, right?

"I'm alright as long as your with me." He answered, winking at me.

What the fudge?

This boy just been hit with some arrow and now he's holding my hands.

I think I just wet myself.

"Okay, truth or dare?" He continued.

"Uh..truth?" I answer, confused to what a was going on right now.

"Do you want to kiss me?"

Say whattt?!

"Whoops.. I mean dare." I answered quickly.

"I dare you to kiss me." He leaned in closer to me.

This definitely isn't Alex.

"Never have I ever-"

"ThATs NOt the GAmE!"

The woman on the roof took another arrow from the bag on her back. It was green unlike the pink one she shot at Alex.

She aimed for a man three tables away from us.

Once hit, his eyes turned green. The man started ranting at his partner about another man. Then the woman started crying and saying that she didn't do anything.

She wasn't cupid anymore.
She was a heartbreaker.

She smirked at her work. How could someone be so evil?! She picks another green arrow at the ready, aiming for a woman on the table next to ours.

Someone has to stop her.

I leap out of my chair and run towards the woman.
I threw my body into her chair, causing her chair to move 20 centimetres to her right. The arrow barely missed her.

The woman on the roof looked shocked. Her green eyes wide and her jaw on the ground.

"Maddie, babe. Where are you going?" Alex questioned, flipping his hair away from his eyes like 17 year old Justin Bieber.

This is mega weird.
Did this boy just flip his hair too?
Eeeew.

"Listen, Romeo..." I sighed, pointing a finger at him. "I'm about to chase a woman shifting arrows at people to break hearts. I might be the only person to stop her. So are you with me..or not?"

" Of course I'm with you. If you're too busy saving everyone else, who will save you?" He held onto my hand again.

This whipped version of Alex is getting a bit too much for me....

"Dude it was a Yes or No question. You only had to answer with one word." I roll my eyes.

We run out of the door, to see this bad ass Cupid looking down at us. She placed her bow on thee roof in front of her, and glared at us.

"Why did you stop my arrow?! How can you see me?! Do you have any idea who I am?!" Her eyes lit up with rage as she screamed at us.

"Well, I'm guessing you're like cupid....but you act like an anti-cupid? So I'll just call you....The Heartbreaker?" I look at Alex. "Whatcha think?"

"Yeah the Heartbreaker sounds dope." He answered.

Yeah this arrow didn't just make him fall in love with me. It also gave him the Young Justin Bieber love song vibes.

"How dare you categorize me?! I'll show you what for!" She furiously reaches for her bow...

But accidentally nudges it over the roof ledge...

So it lands in from of Alex's feet.

"Bieber Alex, will you please hand me that bow?" I ask Alex, giving 'The Heartbreaker' a smug smirk.

"Listen Lady...you have 5 minutes to come down from the roof. You might get your bow back....but first we're gonna sit down and talk like grown ups, so we can find out why you're breaking hearts." I glance at Beiber Alex, whose smiling at me like I'm a surprise birthday cake. "Then you're gonna fix my best friend, so he can stop looking at me like I'm food."

"Whatever! I have another bow!" She crossed her arms and pursed her lips.

"Do you really cause this bow reads 'LAST BOW: Loose this one and you're stuck doing desk match making instead of being on the Field'. That sounds like a pretty solid threat. Tick tock."

Cupids POV

This has never happened before....

A bright light hits my eyes, causing me to squint at the sudden contrast of the darkness around me.

"So...let's start the most important question..." The girl spoke softly into the darkness. "WhAt HaVe YoU dOnE tO mY bEsTfRiEnD?!"

"That, little one, is my very own party trick. I call it Justin Bieber Love Complex." I purse my lips together and blow a bubble from my gum. I hear the boy spinning on a wheelie chair singing 'Baby' by Justin Bieber.

"I need this to end. How do you get rid of it?" She groaned.

"Meh, it'll wear off. Can I have my bow back now?"

"Not until his 'phase' wears off and until you tell me why your a major heartbreaker." She slams her hands on the desks. A little too hard as I hear her wince straight after.

"Urghhhh fine! I like to break human relationships.." I paused, sighing. "Because I'm sour and can't get over my ex."

"Woah, wait." The girl turns on the light."A Cupid fell in love and is now heartbroken  and unable to get over an ex. Gurl give me the deeets."

"It's not gonna change anything by talking to you..." I shrugged my shoulders, flipping the hair out of my eye.

"Exsqueeze me honey! I'm a love expert and I'm gonna help you get over this ex of yours" She beamed.

What am I getting myself into?

Soooo we just met the heartbreaker Cupid. Who turns out to be heartbroken herself...

But luckily she has a love expert and a BTec Justin Bieber to help her out.
